if everyone was more conservative, we would have a better nation, let me explain. numba 1, nothing is free these days. school lunch/fed programs/anything is not free, you pay with your tax dollar. Prime example of gov spending gone bad, look at California. California used to be da state that people moved for jobs, now da people are leaving da state due to all da taxes/regulations/governmental programs. Good luck starting a business with all those limitations. numba 2. it just makes more sense. Life aint fair, sryyy never was and never will be. People are born stupid, people are born ugly, people are born smart, people are born beautiful, get over it. Stop trying to make something thats does not exist numba 3. Competition is everything. Competition brings da best of everything, the more people you get competing, da cheaper da goods r, and da better quality da goods are. Let da regulations go away, let da people decide what is best. If somethin is bad, people wont buy it. numba 4. less government, like now da gov is trying to regulate your air conditioning system in some cities across da land, like wtf. They r doing this because the environmentalist claim its bad for the environment and you will be saving so much energy/cost. Nah man, let me control my energy, [expletive]. If i want to pay 6000$ a month in prime time summer time to keep my house a perfect 62 degrees, let me. Its my money, and my kingdom. numba 5. school system sucks biggie time, look at how much $$$ we pay, and our school system is a joke. Get the figure? let da school compete in a free market fashion with vouchers, you would get da schools competing with each other to get the most/brightest kids. Its a shame to see da unions defending a teacher CANNOT SPEAK, let him teach da students. Now tell me, how can you have a teacher WHO CAN NOT SPEAK, teach students? yah, unions r a joke. numba 6. obama care- wat a joke, seriously. Say goodbye to all dem insurance companies, and say goodbye to all dem doctors salaries. Now you gonna say doctors dont deserve high salary? You know how crucial der job is? How much debt they put in for schooling? How many years of schooling they take? and the high risk of being sued mega money? Yah, lets see how the quality of doctors when it becomes 100% government. And den they will start regulating what we can eat, ITS ALREADY HAPPENING PEOPLE, they are banning certain diets in SF because they feel it makes people fat. WTF?? This is the start of scary things to come. Liberals are also pushing for banning salt in some cities across da nation at resturants, like wtf? SALT RULES<8, let me eat WAT I WANT TO EAT. numba 7, LOWER TAXES, lower taxes= more tax revenue, yeah. Lower taxes= more money people can spend=more money flowing around=better economy. Raise taxes on business, they will cut wages, but oh wait der is wages laws, so da business wont be able to do dat, so dey will start to take losses and go out of business, closing stores across da nation. Now, if you have lower taxes, dey get to higher more people and invest in more business=better economy numba 7, get rid of medicare/medicare- ders no need for it, it cost way 2 much $$. If everyone follows da way of da conservative, it will be better for our nation in whole. Now, don't get conservative confused with republicans, cause a lot of dem seem a bit loony these days. Politicians suck, but true conservative ideas regarding the economy would mean da best for all. And I'm not saying get rid of all government regulation, cause some regulation is needed, obviously. No one wants to eat lead or have tons of mercury pored into the ocean/water, or have no fda approved drugs. Dats it for now, i need to go for a bit, so ill let my words of wisdom and knowledge educate those who r willing to learn da way of da conservative.3 points

Wow, did you guys really just turn this into a race issue? It is not a race issue, it's an issue of how the NBA wants to present its players. I do not agree with Stern's reason for banning this, but I do understand it.2 points

Any chance we can go back to it or at least have the option between that one and the current one? This is the one I'm talking about: http://www.otrbasketball.com/draft/2010.php1 point

Not sure that's possible. And if it is, it will probably be more work than it's worth.1 point

Wilson is better suited as a 6th man for us because he can play the 2-4. Last game he subbed in for Mozgov, which pushed Amar'e to the 5 and left Chandler at the 4. He saw time at the 2 and the 3. That kind of versatility, whoever struggles out of the gate gets replaced by Chandler and the rest of the lineup shuffles around. There are endless possibilities with a player who can go shooting guard and power forward all in the same breath. Not to downgrade Fields, he's been great ever since we picked him up. Plays hard, doesn't fatigue easily, shoots well and plays smart basketball. His intelligence on the court is probably 1/2 of what has him starting.1 point

http://www.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/22748484/25543605 It seems like it's a done deal for the most part. I really like the signing, with Yao not playing back to backs and on a time limit for minutes Dampier will be used quite a bit. Brad Miller had some nice offensive moments against the Lakers, moving him to the high post and letting him make the passes Adelman loves was great but on the other end Pau Gasol ABUSED him in every way possible. Morey made it clear earlier in the year that Patterson will take time before he gets any significant minutes and it seems like for now Jordan Hill is in the dog house because Adelman decided to go with Jefferies over Hill at certain points of the Warriors game. Dampier's big body is exactly what's needed in the paint, the Rockets are just getting owned at certain points on the boards, having Dampier at least adds some height and rebounding. I am still waiting on Hill and thought he would fill that void, but we haven't seen him play a minute yet. I like the acquisition the more bigs the better IMO, the defense at both the center and point guard position have been terrible seeing Dampier and Lowry fill those holes would be nice.1 point

The reason why I am for a salary cap is because wouldn't it be nice for all teams to have nearly the same amount of money to spend on free agency? Sure, some teams like the Rangers, Rays, Marlins etc make the playoffs, but do you really think the Rays will be able to keep Crawford, Pena, or Soriano? Those teams could draft all the good players they want (Rays do a great job of drafting btw) but they are never able to keep the good players because they always leave for free agency because a big market team will offer 100 million plus for them. Let's take the Brewers for example. Their whole lineup is pretty much homegrown (outside of McGehee) Fielder is one hell of a player, and because of this, he knows what he can get on the open market. The Brewers payroll is probably about 80 million. Do you think it would be smart for them to offer Prince Fielder 100+ milllion over a 5-6 year span? That would be nearly 25% of their payroll. What I am trying to say is the small market teams can draft really well, make the playoffs, but then it won't matter because their star players will just leave for FA to a bigger market team. So then they have to rebuild again. Rinse, wash and repeat. But if your a bigger market team, you could hit up the FA market because you have more to spend. Just my thoughts on this.1 point

I'm strongly considering re-coding the skin from scratch. The skin you're showing me in that link won't touch what I put out if I decide to redo it all. Unfortunately, I've never actually sat down and really put out a monster skin for OTR, not from scratch. A lot of it has been designed quickly, using a lot of minimum edits on defaults (such as this skin). The major edits would include the special coding to add forum images on the main index (team logos) and in the posts. If I design a new one, it will have 30 team banners with it BEFORE I release it, which means 30 different skins (color variations) to match the banners. I've been working on player profiles for the last week, but that's going to take forever...so I'm leaning towards dropping everything and putting out something special.1 point

He forgot to add the part, "You get on TV by leading your team to 50-win seasons." Kevin Durant averaged more points (25) than he won games (23) in the 2008-09 season. Nobody cared, right? However, when he dropped 30 a game and won 50 games last year, all eyes shifted to his game and his team. Bosh thinks people are dumb. I know what Monta Ellis did last year. I know what Danny Granger is capable of. I know that Tyreke Evans put up a season that few rookies have ever accomplished. Their play doesn't exactly reflect their records. The casual fan, yes, they would have trouble identifying those players' abilities because they never see them play, and they could care less about the bottom half of the league. So, if Bosh is worried about the casual fan, he's got a point...but then again, he's in Miami. Why does he care about the casual fan today? Not only that, but being the only team in Canada, the Raptors do get quite a bit of attention from the fans in that area. People did recognize him as a top power forward in the league last year (maybe even casual fans). Technically, this is a guy that should not be considered a superstar, yet the talk of "three superstars getting together in Miami" was running wild all offseason. Why does he even talk?1 point
