I don’t like evens at all he fidgets with the ball instead of passing it right away. I just think he hangs on to the ball to long after he rebounds the ball and he tries to make offensive moves in the post when he clearly isn’t capable of doing so. It’s like he doesn’t know his limits. He is paid just to rebound the ball and bring toughness not to be a scorer.1 point

That makes two of us man... Well I like sci fi but not but not those particular movies. Except for Star Wars, don't like this movie series as much as most people but I still like it though. But yeah I never seen Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings and I certainly don't intend to.1 point

I find it kind of funny how you like stalking me and trying to get me into trouble, if you wanna start [expletive], go talk to a wall. I'm not gonna feed up with this. Yes, I did say that, but I was wrong. I shouldn't have said that because its been awhile since I have been on this forum and haven't seen the activity and discussions of the forum yet.1 point

Why even post this? If you want to get a reaction out of Heat fans, which you clearly do, at least post something somewhat releveant. This is just a pathetic troll job.1 point

Could've been the players, could've been Spo. Even if they did foul, that basket was going to happen because drawing up a play would've given Memphis the chance to go in the post, and it's an even easier bucket that way. Miami would rather lose on a Rudy fadeaway jumper over the reach of the Defensive God, James, than Gasol or Randolph easily dropping one in over Bosh, or hitting one free throw to win. Not to mention, Rudy would've put the ball up on the foul, gotten to the line. You could tell he was actually anticipating it right before he continued his drive, because he delayed for a second, to take that foul. You lose on a mistake like that, and it makes the team look even more fragile. And I'm sure it would be Spo's fault once again, because the idiot wanted to foul. Acknowledging that the Grizzlies deserved the win, then pointing fingers at Spo...you do that every time. Good win by Memphis, Spo didn't call for a foul at a tie game, and it wasn't Spo that started the game cold or lost that fourth quarter for them. He started Big Z again, he limited Jones after he shot and missed his six threes, limited Stackhouse because he was playing like he was 50 years old, couldn't play Haslem much because it was Udonis fouling the hell out of everyone, and that's how the Heat had a chance to win this game in the end. The real problem was the fact that the Heat didn't get to the line like they need to. LeBron had six free throw attempts, the team a total of 12. Like I've said before, when the Heat are down and about out of the game, they bend their heads down and drive to the rim. They get their fouls, and they go to the line. Because Bosh is no true post player, and both LeBron and Wade are not off-ball players, this will be one issue they will have to deal with forever. Not having a legitimate starter at the point hurts, and the same goes for the five. Miami will not be equipped to beat a contender in a seven-game series, and it has nothing to do with shooting. Jones, Arroyo, Haslem, Big Z, they can all knock down open jumpers...but it's not enough. The offense is all about the three all-stars, and the defense is all about help, instead of on-ball. It's not going to work unless LeBron treats his teammates like he did in Cleveland, and they find someone who can defend the post (like a Varejao, even). You can quote me right now, but I'll be back in this topic in June if you decide to. You took offense to what I said about them being like Cleveland. Unfortunately, they will need to be. Give that Cleveland team a Dwyane Wade who doesn't mind deferring at the right times (key point there), and all of a sudden, Cleveland has a ring.1 point

Bryant takes off defensively, sometimes, so he has enough juice to score when nobody else is feeling it. He's been playing since 1996. Steve Nash is having trouble logging minutes now, Allen Iverson is in Turkey, Ray Allen is depending on a lot of his team's play to get his wins these days, and nobody in that draft is even coming CLOSE to the level Kobe is playing on even today, after the multiple knee surgeries and destroyed fingers. When it's go time, he's expected to excel. When it's not, he can do whatever he wants. He has five championship rings and almost 46,000 total minutes. If we lose this season, it'll be on him no matter what (because that's how it goes), so he's doing fine. Even today, there isn't a single person I would want defending LeBron or Wade at the end of a meaningful game other than Kobe Bryant. Not Battier, Artest, Thabo, none of them over Kobe. Most GM's will agree with that, and that's what earns him his defensive player awards. Phil's philosophy has always been that a great offense is the best defense (anyone have that quote from the Kobe-Shaq era?), and while he doesn't like losing, he will brush off losses to teams that live and die by the three, just like he discussed before the Lakers played the Magic in the NBA Finals. In our offense, we depend on Kobe quite a bit. He is the primary option AND the facilitator. When he's playing injured every season, and over 30, and in his 15th NBA season, it's important for him to conserve his energy. Extending Kobe's prime is the most important thing right now. It wins us more rings. When the smoke clears, that's all that matters. That's the difference between a dynasty and a one-and-done. Funny how this is never brought up about Steve Nash when he was winning his MVP awards, or how nobody cares to talk about LeBron only closing out on drives to the rim and not playing any on-ball defense, how Dwight Howard doesn't have elite on-ball post defense, and how Tim Duncan has been resting for three years now without any criticism.1 point
