Why the hell do you have to motivate two superstars and an all-star? They sure looked motivated during their championship party.3 points

I also know a quote that goes "Excuses are for losers".2 points

Yes, they will always make an excuse. Especially their fans, and especially Flash.2 points

I think getting rid of your terrible spin on the quote and clarifying what it means does contribute to this thread.2 points

Well it depends on what kind of teammates he has... If I have a team of defenders or a team with only one star I would pick the 24 PPG guy but if I have already a lot of scorers I would pick the 5 PPG guy for sure. His skills in the clutch would definitely be more useful to me than another scorer then.2 points

The 24PPG guy, easily. I'd rather have a guy who scores 24pts in the first 43min and puts my team ahead by 10, rather than the guy who doesn't score in the first 43min and puts my team down 15 with 5min to go.2 points

Don't forget about Barbosa: http://bezelphotos.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/mbanks_bday-70.jpg EDIT: None of them hold a candle to Triano, though: http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v2648/159/55/120801341/n120801341_40751145_4246333.jpg What. A. Pimp.1 point

I agree with you 100%, some of my favorite movies have been movies that I didn't nec enjoy but I loved the movie because it pushed a line or it brought up a concept or a thought. Shutter Island is an example, still a blockbuster but makes ya think.1 point

Spo just doesn't have the respect of the players nor can he control the big egos on the team. Its not necessarily his fault but when you have 3 big personas on one team, you're going to need a coach with the balls and respect to control those egos. I can understand that Pat wants to turn his protege into that coach but unfortunately its not working out and Riley needs to step in.1 point

Not necessarily, well I mean I gave it a shot I know Oliver hasn't yet but he sounds like he will eventually. Movies are about as opinionated as it gets. Like someone else mentioned earlier it may be defining for the "time" it released but that doesn't give it a free pass of greatness. Avatar is the perfect example, I watched it but I didn't like it. The special effects were defining for the future of technology in movies, but I have seen small budget movies that I enjoyed so much more than Avatar. So in that instance yes props to Cameron on bringing something new to the table, but I sure as hell did not like that movie and prefer others that Cameron has done over his highest grosser. All I am saying is the masses may love certain movies and LOTR got showered with love during the Oscars, which is when I actually watched the first one and still didn't care for it or that genre. Star Wars is a different story for me, my friends wanted to watch it badly so I went to the theaters with them and was bored out of my mind plain and simple. The genre definers deserve credit and respect, but I don't pay to just watch graphics I want a good story also. So that's basically what it boils down to and LOTR, Harry etc. never caught my attention as a person who needed to start following this lucrative series that took over the world really. I think everyone has a few blockbuster hits that majority of the country liked but they ended up asking themselves "what's the big deal about this one?" .... after asking that question suddenly there credibility goes south lol I never understood that.... I know some critics do it for attention, but if you genuinely don't like a movie there is no reason to hide behind the covers because the masses seem to be enthralled by it. It doesn't make you any less of a movie fan.1 point

Definitely Shaq. Dwight is a very good player but he honestly can't be compared to Shaq. I've said it many times but among all the players I've seen play, Shaq is, with Jordan, the one who impressed me the most. He's, with Wilt and Jordan, the one who dominated the league the most. His performances in the NBA Finals from 2000 to 2002 are even the most impressive Finals performances ever IMO. A case can definitely be made for him as the best center ever. So no I certainly do not believe that Dwight would stand a chance against Big Shaq Daddy.1 point
