I wasn't around during those times when Magic and Larry hated each other or whatever, but I wish everyone had Kobe's (or Durant, to a lesser extent) mindset, at least the best players in the league. The Heat basically sum up the current state of the NBA's competitive flame. I mean I don't blame the players though, you would probably get fined 25k for getting in someone's grill these days.

when i got introduced to the forum, i honestly didn't think i'd stick to it... kuz im not a forum type of guy... but the insight into some of the games is really nice, and the updates from some of you guys are faster than some of the sites i check.

I am not saying it's all on Kubiak but it starts at the top and the coach always gets the burden of success and failure and you can't spin it in a favorable manner for Gary Kubiak. He's a nice guy and all, but I don't see anything wrong with criticizing him it comes with the job. He's had his chance and unfortunately for him lack of execution has made him look like a questionable coach in certain situations, at the end of the day the Texans have yet to make the playoffs and will end the year taking a step back no reason to defend Gary.

Regardless Kubiak is an awful coach and needs to go.

Activity is better on other boards, for sure...but that definitely doesn't matter much to me. I'll take the general NBA knowledge we have. That's the entire point. I'd rather discuss basketball with Phil Jackson and Gregg Popovich, just those two, than 200+ football or baseball fans, all in the same room, that have never watched a single NBA game all the way through.

No, but threads like these are extremely annoying, at least make your motives a little less transparent. You can express your enjoyment for a board without name dropping others. You just proved why the Lakers don't need to beat every opponent by saying that yes, the Lakers are the defending champs. The Lakers have already proven that no matter what happens during the regular season, they have what it takes to get it done in the playoffs...Twice. They're back to back defending champs, what have the Heat done? They're the ones that have a lot to prove. They're the team with 3 super star players. Like I said in a different topic, the Lakers could finish as the 8th seed in the West, but they'll still make it back to the finals waiting for the Celtics, Magic, or maybe the Heat. The Lakers have nothing to prove, the Heat have a ton to prove.
