  1. I don't wanna start forum beef lmao as pathetic as it sounds... But really no comparison between this place and RSZ. Ones interested in quality and ones interested in quantity I think everyone can make the distinction quite easily. As I said in another thread it feels good to be on a site with mature posters.

  2. Meh...he has some clever/funny lines, but a lot of times they are extremely and/or don't make sense. If you want to hear awesome punchlines, Youtube Big L. No one was a better punchline rapper. Some gems... "Before I buck lead, and make a lot of blood shed Turn your tux red, I'm far from broke, got enough bread And mad hoes, ask Beavis I get nuttin Butt-head" ""I'm lookin nuthin like ya poppa , I wouldnt give a chick 10 cent to put cheese on a Whopper, They wanna know why im so fly, A girl ask me for a ring and i put one around her whole eye" ""The Tech is my utensil- Fillin [expletive]az with so much lead they can use they dick for a pencil Im known for snatchin purses, and bombin churches- I get more [expletive] by accident than most [expletive]az get on purpose I got drug spots from New York to Canada- Cus Big L be [expletive]in with more keys than a Janitor" "Big L is that [expletive]a you expect, to catch wreck on any cassete deck I'm so ahead of my time my parents haven't met yet" "So we can never be a couple hun [expletive] love, all I got for ho's is hard dick and bubble gum"

  5. Completely agree with you here, but it's hard to get back to your prime, a lot of musicians want to try out new things. Nas did the same with Distant Relatives, as did Kanye with 808's. That's why you see a lot of rappers at the top of their game when they first start out. I wouldn't say that's always the case, but just look at guys like Kanye and Nas who had great debut albums. Hell, even a guy like Kid Cudi's best work came with his first ever mixtape (at least in my opinion).

  6. I used Big L as an example to what a great punchline rapper is, and how it is properly done. Wayne is clever at times, but when your [expletive] don't make sense or is completely and utterly random, it makes the work average. Big L was the easiest and most prominent way to show this, but there are dozens of rappers who have polished that technique a lot better than Wayne has. So to call Wayne a beast, which is the title of this topic, is a little crazy (not saying there's a problem with people liking Wayne).

  7. Yeah the Wayne hate is pretty ridiculous. I love his work from Carter II and some of his older stuff.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RL6moxtdaWM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLHEjqIsUMY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NyEtmfQCxbY I don't like some of his recent stuff, but you gotta respect what he did earlier in his career.

  8. I've watched atleast 3-4 Knick games this season, and I was one of the first to admit that I underestimated his abilities following the chain of 30 point games. I don't doubt his offensive abilities one bit, but it's difficult for me to put a one dimensional player in my top 10. He gets a lot of weak side blocks, outside of that his defense is mediocre. Amare is also a horrible rebounder for his size, that fact is that he just doesn't box out, it's as simple as that. He's a decent offensive rebounder, but even that comes in spurts. Imo, Amare should have no troubles averaging over 10 rebounds every game. It's hard to pass up Dirk's game, he can beat you in so many ways. He's arguably one of the best big man scorers the league has ever seen. He can shoot the three ball with ease, he was post you, and he's underrated when it comes to beating guys off the dribble. I admire Amare's athleticism and midrange game, but Dirk simply changes many defenses because of his offensive arsenal and versatility. Btw if your making a top 10, my top 10 would look something like this... 1. Kobe Bryant 2. LeBron James 3. Dwayne Wade 4. Dwight Howard 5. Kevin Durant 6. Deron Willliams 7. Carmelo Anthony 8. Chris Paul 9. Derrick Rose 10. Dirk Nowitzki Amare would probably be anywhere from 10-15 with guys like Brandon Roy, Paul Pierce, Chris Bosh, and Rajon Rondo. I was really surprised that you didn't even mention Deron Williams or Chris Paul in your list.

  9. Yeah. Did you guys see the argument with Troy Smith on the sidelines? Probably told Smith he wasn't playing hard enough.

  10. haha, it's cool, I'm done with RSZ now, I don't know how many old CTS people will be left but not many if any, I'm "All in" with OTR now, I should have left back when ABL did.

  12. First of all they're both having a great season so far, a MVP season indeed. Statistically they're very close, but it's important to consider that Amaré's playing in D'Antoni's system which is the best system to have great stats... While Dirk is playing in more defensive minded team. Also it's easier to have great stats when you have less good teammates and Dirk's teammates are clerly better than Stoudemire's this year, this has also to be taken in consideration. And that is why I would give the edge to Dirk here. Might I add that Dirk's FG%, for a player who shoots that often from mid range and long range, is absolutely outstanding. Defensively, well Dirk is not and will never be a great defender but he at least improved in that area since the Avery Johnson days. While Amaré just has no defense at all... Advantage Dirk there too. And in terms of leadership and clutchness there is no doubt that Dirk is the better player there too. There is no one in the league that is more clutch than Dirk right now, except Kobe. Dirk is also better on the free throw line and a better passer than Amaré. Finally Dirk is right now the favorite for the MVP as he's clearly the best player among the three best teams in the league right now. So I don't see how a case can be made against Dirk here.

  16. First off that's false; a lot of his music was charged with anger, but there were also plenty of songs that were lighter or had a deeper sentimental meaning. And I strongly suggest you watch Tupac Resurrection...a lot of his music that had anger in it or was presumably for a cause was because he was sticking up for the entire hood, not himself. A lot of the things he raps about, by his own admition, are from the viewpoint of people who have gone through those trials and tribulations and NOT himself. He's more of a symbol than anything else.
