Because you don't put guys like Brian Mitchell in the Hall of Fame. As low as the standards are right now, Devin Hester wouldn't even sniff the Hall of Fame. It's such a prestigious honor you don't have time to induct a player like Devin Hester. At the same time, we may as well induct Dante Hall, he was good for a couple years, right? Why don't we elect Lorenzo Neal at the same time for how much he did for the fullback position? Are we going to induct Mike Vanderjagt? He was automatic for almost two years! There's a reason you don't put guys like Devin Hester in the Hall of Fame.

In other words, he's just trying to build some hype around it and won't enter as usual.
