How does it stack up among the greatest performances in NBA history? Kobe, baby! http://thelakersnation.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/81.gif

  3. I think the problem is there aren't enough idiots here. Honestly, everyone here basically agrees with each other lol.

  4. He's not really all that slow for 6-7... The comparison is bad because Frye was always a finesse 5. He has no true position. He's a 3 trapped in the body of a 5. Couldn't play a lick of defense. Never brought anything above average to the table. Was he unavailable as a rookie? Probably, he was the 8th overall pick of that draft... Why make him available in his rookie season? Fields is a nearly opposite player of Frye, so whether or not Frye was unavailable in his rookie season, the comparison is awful. When anyone calls Fields a star-in-the-making, hit me up. He's an extremely heady rookie and he's impressed beyond belief considering his draft status. He's a pivotal cog for this team. None of that means 'superstar'.

  6. I believe PF's have take over the league, not the PG's. Griffin Love Dirk Amare Duncan Gasol Bosh Boozer KG Smith Scola Randolph Aldridge I dont think that list can be argued against. PF's run this league, but the PG's are a solid second.

  9. The draft. This season is just depressing. I just want it to finish already. On a more serious note, I think what Flash said is a large part of the reason for the dip in activity. I haven't been able to watch a full game, outside of the Clipper/Miami one the other night, in about a month and that is including Raptor games. With college, work and studying, there just isn't nearly as much time to come onto message boards and post about games that you weren't even able to watch. It is pretty hard to post anything of substance when you are just going off of box scores and things like that.

  10. It seems like this is drawing a lot of attention on the Twitter feed... join OTR, Tweeters! This was one of my favorite Nets moments ever. We began the season 2-11. At one point, we were more than 10 games out of the playoffs. The Carter trade turned everything around and we worked our way back uphill. On the final day of the season, we controlled our own destiny. Cleveland was falling in the standings and was 41-40, as were we. The Cavs won their game, and we rallied from a 19-point deficit to win ours, thanks to an incredible performance from a shaken up VC. We ended up getting swept by Miami in the first round, but the comeback of ours transitioned into an incredible season in 2005-06. This YouTube channel is incredible, by the way (it's by Maxamillion711). Every VC highlight I've been wanting to see again is on here.

  11. Luol Deng - One of the Most Under Appreciated Players in the NBA Today http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hrKgQgncuo&feature=player_embedded I loved this video because it shows the life of Luol Deng through Rags to Riches... How did he come to be? Well he is Sudanese and his father was apart of the Sudan government, a high official, and he moved his family to England to escape the Sudanese Civil War. Deng quickly grew to love the game of basketball and he played for England's squad and was very good. He was averaging 40 points and 14 rebounds... Then, Luol moved to USA and Deng was considered the second most promising high school senior in America after LeBron James. He was named First Team All-America and could not showcase his talents to the world because of an injury. He played college ball at Duke under Coach K. He was only the 10th freshman in ACC history to lead all rookies in scoring, rebounding, and field goal percentage... Deng entered the draft in 2004 after a year in Duke. He was picked seventh by the Suns and then traded to the Bulls and the rest is history as you know, he led the Chicago Bulls to beat the Miami Heat in a playoff series... People always say he is one of the most overpaid players in the league, but his contract is deferred(30%/40% deferred) and he is great at what he is doing currently for his contract. Most of the money of the contract goes to the Lost Boys of Sudan... That is why Luol Deng is a great person on and off the court and is one of the most under appreciated players in the league today...

  14. Rose didn't necessarily want those guys in Chicago because he would rather beat them as the leader of his own team, like most great athletes want to do before they reach their mid-30's.
