  1. What a surprise, a Kingfish posted video about terrible officiating. What's that? It's also from a Lakers perspective? You don't say!

  8. Beside being a great comeback for the Lakers and an enjoyable moment for Lakers fans to remember for the rest of their lives. What was going through your guys head when you saw this comeback happen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_ikaIDz-Ck

  9. Lmao Kobe called a fanbase idiots and Lebron destoryed the hearts of an entire city on live television. What Lebron did on live television is by means comparable to this, maybe something on his twitter, but not this. Please don't even compare them. Lebron-stan.

  11. For one, my brother was advised to sit out the entire week, and beyond that, to avoid a complete tear. What was Troy's grade? I'd like to know what the grade was for Jay, exactly. If it was a Grade III, I completely understand why he was sitting. Partial tear is a Grade II, depends on how much pain he can handle. If it was a minor sprain, though, a Grade I, he's a complete sissy.

  12. I honestly don't care at all. Cutler's attitude and disposition have led to his league wide dislike. It's not like everybody is getting on his case just because of how he reacted to this situation. It's been little by little. Just look at his track record, cried his way out of Denver. Chicago sacrificed a lot to acquire him, and then he has the biggest game of his career and he doesn't show up. He let that city down, he showed no heart. And ESPN is reporting the injury as a sprain, other players have sucked it up and played through much worse. (http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/news/story?id=6054047)

  13. My brother went a full week of basketball practice with an MCL tear. Just putting that out there. And he was a freshman in high school. Ryan Leaf is one. I'm sure I could name others.

  14. Caleb Hanie: Jay Cutler was a big help "He helped me out numerous times throughout the game," Hanie said. "When I went in, first of all he came and talked to me and said, 'Hey, trust yourself, trust your reads, use your feet if you have to; don't be afraid to do that. Trust the o-line and you'll be fine.' That calmed me down a little bit. So much for Jay not helping Hanie. Yet again those basing their opinions on snippets and heresay are shown as off-base! http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/news/story?id=6053836

  15. First call is a weak call---I didn't see much contact from Radmanovic. Second call Odom drives, barely gets touched, misses a layup---I don't see why there should be a foul there. Third call, did Fisher hit Pierce's arm on the pass? If so that's a foul. Fourth call, Kobe clearly extends his right arm to get separation though it is ticky-tack. Fifth call, Odom clearly extends and shoves Kendrick Perkins. That foul is obvious. Sixth call, I think the Odom foul on Powe is weak. Seventh call, Turiaf crashes into Powe. That's an obvious foul. Eighth call, there's almost no contact and Farmar is attempting an over the head backwards scoop. Why should there be a foul? Ninth call, yeah I think KG pushed Gasol. That should be a foul. Tenth call, just because Mike Breen says Rondo crashed into Gasol doesn't mean he really did. That play looked pretty clean. Eleventh call, just because Gasol thinks he gets hit doesn't mean he necessarily did. There needs to be a better angle to show if KG whacked him on the arm. Twelfth call, Perkins didn't foul Kobe. Thirteenth call, did KG foul Odom? It doesn't look like it. Fourteenth call, KG hangs before shooting causing Odom to make contact with his arms and chest. That's a foul. Fifteenth series of calls. Kobe's arm is in front of Allen reaching around on the first call, the second call is explained above, the third call is an obvious flop job by Pierce, and the fourth call is explained above. Sixteenth call, after the ball is in the air there's no foul by Pierce. Pierce may have grabbed Kobe when Kobe cut. There needs to be a closer angle. Seventeenth call, there's not much contact when Kobe executes his spin or when Radmanovic finishes. You can't expect foul calls there. Eighteenth call, refs missed a Pierce grab on Kobe. What have we learned. Both Kingfish and the dude who made this video are obviously Lakers fans and refs will miss a few calls. There may also be slight bias against home teams by certain refs. I could probably put together a video detailing the Celtics bad fouls and no calls and say the refs were favoring the Celtics. This video is pretty weak.

  18. As far as cheering is concerned, he was smiling and pumped during both of Chicago's scores. The camera zoomed in on his face on both occassions, and he was definitly not "sitting and sulking". It's kind of unfair to question his injury when you don't know anything about it, quit being so judgemental.

  19. Whether or not he was truly injured..he let his team down big time today. He didn't look like he was in any pain at all on the sideline and just looked like he gave up to be honest.

  21. Yeah I was spectacle at first too. But it's hard to criticize a guy's injury from your living room. You would just hope he was doing all he could to get back on the field. I will say this - I know Brett Favre would've been back out there. And yeah Favre throws picks, and lost some big games the past few years, and is annoying in the sports news blah blah blah, but that guy is a [expletive]ing competitor and I've always had so much respect for Favre for that.

  22. At 33 years old, Gary Payton was a top five defender in the NBA. Same with Dennis Rodman, at 34 years old. Same with Scottie Pippen, 34 years old. Out of the list, everyone over 32 is either far too old to even play basketball (Ratliff and Smith) or never played defense to begin with (Fisher). Kobe's knee is the excuse for him, although he doesn't close out on shooters as much as he should. Artest's defensive rating is as low as Luke Walton's, and Ron has absolutely no excuse for it. Gasol's defensive problems are due to physicality (lack of). He's 30, not 38...and it's something he has had a problem with since the days he looked like a 14-year old boy in Memphis. Odom doesn't know how to contest a shot. Half of the time, he puts his hand up a little, then brings it down and turns to watch the rim before the shot is even released. Defense isn't just about a player's knees (athleticism). Our players' defensive IQ's, the lack of help, the lack of focus, the missing physicality...being 30-32 years old shouldn't change all of that.

  23. "Hey, Sheldon." >The audience laughs loudly. "Bazinga!" >The audience explodes into laughter. The building shakes slightly, and paramedics are put on standby (with earplugs in). The cast stands around awkwardly for roughly 5 minutes for it to calm down, each battling the urge to laugh. "Windows 7." >The paramedics are pre-emptively deployed. The audience scream in laughter and the building starts rattling uncontrollably. Blood runs from most audience members noses and eyes as their brain haemorrhages under the hilarity. Urine streams down the legs of most people as janitors hastily attempt to mop it, to no avail. The vibrations trigger an earthquake that causes huge amounts of damage across California. The earth stops orbiting the sun, and immediately plummets into its fiery depths. "Hey Sheldon, what are you up to?" >The audience chuckles to themselves. "For your information, Penny, I'm watching the entire original series of Battlestar Galactica." >The audience bursts into laughter, several breaking into tears of joy. "Oh, I love William Shatner!" >The audience goes insane, rise from their seats and begin cheering and speaking in tongues. Piss begins spraying across the bleachers. Several audience members run from the theater in madness, still speaking in tongues. Police move in to quarantine building. Mob overwhelms and devours police force. Possessed audience members return with the bound and gagged casts of Modern Family and Community, sacrificing them on stage to the spirit of Milton Berle. Milton Berle returns in demon form and begins raping everyone within the LA area. President Obama calls in nuclear strike on Los Angeles. Nuclear explosion fails, causes Milton Berle's spirit to grow to five hundred feet in height, surviving humans flee earth on modified space shuttles. hey Sheldon >audience chuckles I'm going out tonight >raucous laughter bellows from the audience you can't! >audience begins a thunderous wave of laughter; several members die of laughter induced cardiac arrest tonight is Nintendo 64 night! >the audience releases a titanic cacophony of laughter, rousing long dead spirits from their slumber. The skies darken and the rivers run red as the ancient seals of the titans, made by the gods themselves, begin to unravel. the beasts raise themselves from the earth, monstrosities of war, they let out mighty bellows, matched only by that of the audience, as they begin to cut swathes through the earth. within hours the world is thrown into darkness, the world once known to man is now all but lost. as the last souls die, the last memories of a world that once was, is lost. the titans let out one last roar as the gods abandon this realm, removing it from existence, and leave for Valhalla.

  24. Big question here: do you play basketball, and if so, what level of play? I've played against a few players that are D1 level, one that nearly made the Tulsa 66ers D-League team, and a few that could've probably played D1 ball. This is all outside of HS, in tournaments or in rec leagues. Passes that seem to be basic...they are very hard to make. When I'm at the top of the key, I'm looking at four different players. Sometimes, I know who's going to cut...but I didn't draw up the defensive scheme for our opponents, so I have to read the defense while I run a play. I've thrown plenty of passes, some that you would probably call basic and very easy to make, that have been picked off out of nowhere because I didn't throw the ball hard enough, or I was a second too late and didn't see the defensive rotation. To top it off, I'm a scorer...so my mentality is to score first, pass second. It's a good thing when I make a pass that leads to a bucket. Finally...to give another instance of how important the timing of passes are...have you ever lead the break? You hold the ball long enough to catch a defender's eye, then you dish it out at the perfect time (even a basic chest pass) to lead your man to the rim for an uncontested shot. A late pass could be picked off, and an early pass could stop the break. I won't comment on the first example because that wasn't an assist (shouldn't have been one, anyway)...but a true assist is important to the game, in many ways...whether it's on the break, in a half court set (most point guards in the league have trouble making the post entry pass), in a run and gun, or any set or situation on offense.

  25. Big Ben is just great. When the game is on the line, he's always finding a way to make a big play. I hate seeing the Steelers in the SB again, but at least we won't have to hear Rex Ryan's fatass talk for the next two weeks. Go Packers.

  34. Obviously finishing college with his class is something that matters to him. Seriously, quit judging him. It's a personal decision. I think it's awesome that he went with his heart. Also, all of the arguments being made against his decision, do you guys really think he isn't aware of all that? He is more aware than any of us of what's being risked.

  38. When is the last time that happened in a situation comparable to Andrew Luck's situation? Where a guy was an assured number one pick, came back to school and he suffered a career-ending injury? This kid is getting an Architecture degree from the University of Stanford, I don't think he has to worry about salary, he can make plenty of it both ways, football and designing houses, stadiums, you name it.
