  5. Refs ftw. Although we didn't help ourselves by missing free throws and not being able to contain Carter or Warrick.

  8. Melo can actually play defense, if he sets his mind to it... I would even go as far to say that he could be a 1st All Defensive Team. He has quick feet, quick and strong hands, he is physical, and can keep in front of even quick guards. But since he rarely sets his mind to it... Defense aside, I think he has become more all around... he now easily gets 7 rebounds and 5 assists to go with 25 pts any given night. In his first 3-4 years, he was strictly a scorer, but since Billups came, he has become more all around with those rebounds, assists, steals as well... but defense is still up in the air.

  9. What? You do realize he has nothing to do with the album falling short of expectations, right? The lyrics are very good, Atlantic Records is the one to blame. Everyone can tell his record company had a strong presence in the album. As a whole, it sounded like two musical mindsets colliding, and you can tell which tracks were forced. Lupe is still one of the best in the game right now.

  10. anytime you put Magic and Bird on the floor together... Those championship series are unreal, I always watch them when they're shown on ESPN Classic. Basketball was pure basketball then. Now it's shoe deals, mansions, traveling, soft defense, guys sit out for broken thumb nails. It is nowhere near the same. I wasnt even alive back then, but from all the footage and games I've seen it isnt comparable. Go to the rim back then you better be ready for contact, hard contact. Today people let you get to the rim just so they dont get dunked on.

  13. I am too shocked they didn't win this one. I thought for sure they'd come out and win this one... You can't expect LeBron and Wade to play great defense every night though, that's the problem. The other guys need to step up defensively. I mean, if LeBron is going to give you 30/10/10 and Wade is going to give you close to 40, you only have so much energy to put into the game on the defensive end of the floor at that point. Just being fair to LeBron and Wade. Now, what I'd love to see is someone have a big inside presence on the boards and defensively. Bosh is like, what 6'11? He needs to step up and have a 15/15/5 type of game. He needs to become a tougher inside presence, he needs to switch up his game a little bit, because that's what they are lacking and Bosh definitely has the ability to be like that if he played more aggressively instead of always playing on the perimeter. I agree. The role players eventually need to hit shots. Only so much LeBron and Wade can do. Eventually, you need to find guys that can hit shots or else you need to go deeper into your bench. When LeBron and Wade kick the ball out these guys need to hit shots, specifically in the 4th quarter. It's just that simple. No more excuses, they need to knock the shots down and the Heat will win these games.

  14. Maybe if he played better he would get the ball. He settles for way too many jumpshots and misses many shots in the paint. And if he isn't getting the ball, get the [expletive] over it and start doing other little things like rebound the ball.

  19. I voted for Anti-LeBron, but I'd say I'm less of a hater than most people. I like him more than Kobe still, but I never root for him or his team to do well, obviously, being a Knicks fan. I absolutely love watching him play, though. So, I'm pretty close to neutral.

  20. I hate Tiki Barber. I'm a huge Giants fan, too, but this guy has always been an asshole. He just can't stay out of the spotlight. Whether it be shooting his mouth off, or now coming back, he always has to be the center of attention. Definitely a "me-first" type of douchebag.

  22. Not sure who's arguing he's a great player...I classify great as the Jordan's, Kobe's, LeBron's...just to name a few over the years. Carmelo is not on the level, obviously..

  23. Why does it have to be a Kobe vs. LeBron thing? Plenty of LBJ fans respect Kobe and his accomplishments as a player. I guess it has to do with him being the first guy to come along in a while that is actually arguably better than Kobe?
