Ok, I have a little time on the computer today, so basically I spent 53 days at a rehab in Deerfield Beach, Florida. At the facility there were about 60 guys and 25-30 girls, and we were split up into two apartment buildings (they looked like beach hotels, and rehab patients were the only residents on the premises). The guys weren't allowed to talk to the girls, and we'd get yelled at if we even stared at them for any extended amount of time. Of course a few guys and girls got kicked out because of violating these rules. We were allowed to walk all around the premises in our free time, each building had its own pool, and we had a public cafe right next to the girls building where we could buy food, cigarettes or whatever. 3x a week they took us to the gym (I gained 20lbs and got my bench up to 180 10x while I was there), and 1x a week they took us to the beach. During the day we had 4 total hours of group therapy, and an hour-long A.A/N.A meeting. The rest of the time we were allowed to do whatever. Each person shared an apartment with 1-3 other people, and each apartment had a TV (w/cable), oven, microwave, bathroom w/shower, and 2 bedrooms. We weren't allowed to leave property except for the gym and beach, got to use the phone only like once every 2 weeks to call 1 family member, and weren't allowed to leave our rooms past 11pm. Anyway, I met a lot of crazy [expletive]ing people while there...like people who have been to prison for 10x years and killed people, people who have been in gangs and kidnapped other gang member's mom's for ransom, people who have been stabbed by their father for being gay, tried shooting themselves in the head and when their friends tried to wrestle the gun away they accidentally shot their friend's toe off, etc... While I was there I learned how to give a jailhouse haircut with a razor and comb, had a loaded gun pointed at me by some inbred redneck cuz I was staring and sticking my tongue out at his daughter while on my way to the gym one day, realized that half the state of NJ is in Florida rehabs (like over 1/3 of this place was from NJ), and learned that people from Boston suck and we should have sent cruise missiles there instead of Libya. Overall, I learned a lot and met a lot of cool (albeit crazy) people. Now I am in a halfway house in Delray Beach, which is basically just an apartment where I have a curfew. I am currently looking for a job, and still going to AA/NA meetings. My dad's coming down for business on Sunday, so he'll bring my computer down and then I'll really start being able to post. I don't plan on being down here past May, but we'll see.4 points

that's actually true, though. I never touched a drug in my life, but I don't judge anyone who does. if I never tried it, I feel like I'm in no position to say it's wrong or a waste of money or anything.2 points

Of course it's you posting something that was news in 2009. And of course it's you choosing to ignore the rest of the stadium and focus on the sections that don't often seat diehard fans.1 point

I don't want a tweener in my starting 5, especially in my frontcourt. The whole is he is a PF or a SF thing has ruined guys like Marvin, and has resulted in guys like Jamison putting up hollow stats because he plays the 4 offensively fine, but can't protect the rim like a prototypical 4 should, or help out on the glass like they should. I don't get how Derrick Williams isn't a 3, the guy is 6-8 and 240, so by my guess he isn't gonna be an elite defender at the SF or PF position, but at least offensively he probably gives you more at the 3 than he does at the 4 at his size, looks like he is a really solid shooter. I have never pictured Beasley as a 4 either (an example that is from a similar player), at least on an effective team. You can't get away with bad defenders/rebounders at the PF/C position, you just can't, but you can possibly get away with bad defenders at the other positions, at least compared to your bigs. It is like would you rather have Jose Calderon getting torched and the opposing point running into Perkins and KG, or having Rondo defending the opposing point and Love and Beasley behind him. More often than not, a 'tweener' like Beasley or Jamison is going to be taking away more than they are bringing you if they are playing the PF position.1 point

Rockets will be fine, they are a sharp team the offense has been downright incredible since the all star break. Guys have bought into the system, they need improvements on defense, and it's good they have Thabeet and Williams to work on in the off season. They can figure out what they want to do with those guys and how/if they can fit them into the rotation. As far as Kyle Lowry goes hes awesome, he's just incredible all around I am so glad they matched the Cavs offer. Kyle turned it up to another level after he knew the starting spot was his for good, and has matured so fast. The same plays that he was turning the ball over on are now the core of a dominant offensive package, and his shot is just looking so good, that's one guy I would like to see stick around for a while. It's interesting though, if the Rockets do replace Adelman or if Adelman just decided to leave things could change drastically, this team is built for RA.1 point

I thought it was a great effort in the first half from the Rockets digging themselves out of a hole they opened up the game with. I'm not really angry at the loss, the Rockets struggle against the Sixers and clearly down the stretch looked completely dead. Sixers played Lowry smart throwing double teams at him, you mix that with his fatigue and it took him completely out the game. Everything flows through Kyle these days so once you trap him at that point everyone pretty much stood around and couldn't figure out what to do. This is where I would have loved to see Kevin Martin "take over" on the offensive end but every time you get hype for Kevin he brings you back down to reality, he doesn't demand the ball, you can't ask Kyle to make miracles happen every single time. It's a tough loss but not surprising at all, as the third quarter was coming to a close you could tell the Rockets were running on empty.1 point

Well I wouldn't get banned cuz I"m not a whiny 12 year old, and if I did it's not like it's a major part of my life. I understand you want a place to talk basketball but its an internet website, not real life, it shouldn't be a major part of your life unless you're running it. When people write up essays about why they shouldn't be banned and go talk shit about a website is comical to me. Get a real life outside of the website.1 point
