MaddSkillz is STL version 2.0. Dick rides MJ and looks at stats as god. If you actually watch the game Kobe is the closest thing to MJ you will ever get.3 points

LOL at the +/- statistics. I'd love to manhandle that, but I've done it over and over again in the past. Just for fun... http://www.nba.com/games/20110329/MIACLE/gameinfo.html#nbaGIboxscore LeBron gets a triple-double (27/10/12), shoots nearly 50%, just three turnovers...but he's a -9. Meanwhile, Dampier has one rebound, three fouls, two turnovers and zero points and shots...is a -5 (better than LeBron). Joel Anthony, with two boards, two fouls, 0-2 shooting...was a +13. Worst stat in the world. I'd dropkick the WS and defensive ratings as well...but it would be a waste of my time. No reason for me to believe that Odom (103 defensive rating) is a better defender than Artest (105, and 11th on the team...lol). Those stats don't cover the individual, they cover the five-man units. If Ron is out there with Blake, Fisher, Caracter and Odom, his defensive rating will suffer because the five-man unit, as a whole, can't play defense. Simple as that.2 points

This was what i wrote about the Gerald Wallace trade after i cooled down lol.... At first i was pissed at Jordan. Bobcats: Life after Wallace By: Cameron Buchan SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 26, 2011 - 1:56AM February 24th 2011, will always stick in the minds of true Charlotte Bobcats fans. Charlotte traded away their franchise player to the Portland Trial Blazers. Gerald Wallace to Charlotte was like Dean Smith to UNC. Wallace was the first person that popped in your head when you heard someone say “Bobcats”. Charlotte drafted Wallace in their expansion draft in 2004 and even though Emeka Okafor was their first-ever actual draft pick, it didn't take fans long to realize G-Dub was their star. Wallace always played hard. Earning him the nickname "Crash" for his reckless style of play. He's suffered many injuries including concussions, a separated shoulder, even a partially collapsed lung and a fractured rib after being flagrantly fouled while driving for a layup by Los Angeles Lakers' Andrew Bynum in 09. Wallace had to travel via bus coast to coast instead of flying back to Charlotte because of this. Wallace was a class act and never complained. In 07, a 25 year-old Wallace resigned with the Bobcats, who had an average record of 26-56 through their first 3 NBA seasons. Wallace was pursued by Dallas, Orlando, Milwaukee, Detroit, Miami, Portland and Golden State, but Wallace wanted to stay in Charlotte and help the Bobcats become a winning team. Wallace accomplished this goal last season when he and Stephen Jackson led the Bobcats to a 44-38 record and the 7th seed in the Eastern Conference. Wallace also got the recognition he deserved by the league and fans last year. He was voted as an Eastern Conference reserve in the All-Star game and made the All-Defensive First Team. Both of which were firsts for the Charlotte Bobcats young franchise. Most Bobcats fans are not happy about this trade. However, it was necessary to move on to start a new era of Bobcats basketball. In the trade Charlotte received Joel Przybilla, Dante Cunningham, Sean Marks and two future 1st-round picks. Now on paper this doesn't seem like much. Charlotte will most likely not resign Przybilla or Marks this offseason. Cunningham has potential, but the draft picks are key. Jordan feels like this is our chance to build a championship caliber team. Statement from Michael Jordan “As many of you know by now our team has undergone some significant changes. As the trade deadline approached, we were presented with an opportunity we felt was in the long-term best interest of the team. The two first round draft-picks we received will be part of the foundation that the future of this team will be built upon. We also were able to secure players that we believe will continue to help us remain competitive as we strive to reach the playoffs this year. At the same time, the contracts we acquired will afford us the flexibility to be aggressive during the offseason. Since becoming owner of the team, I have been consistent in stating that we are in this to build an organization that can play for an NBA championship. I will not waver from this goal and everything we do will be to get us in position to have sustained success in this league. As the competitive landscape continues to change, this trade will get us one step closer to having a team that can compete with the elite in the Eastern Conference. I cannot express how much I appreciate your support and trust as we continue the process of building a team that all of our fans can be proud of.” -Michael Jordan As a Bobcats fan myself, I am somewhat worried. Jordan has only made a couple of good draft picks since he took over as Head of Basketball Operations in 06. Drafting players like Adam Morrision, Ryan Hollins, Alexis Ajinca, Kyle Weaver and Robert Vaden. Those players mentioned are definitely not in the “good draft picks” category. Also the fact that the 2 draft picks acquired were New Orleans 2011, 1st rd. pick and Portland’s 2012, 1st rd. pick. Both picks will most likely not be in the lottery. The Bobcats also traded away veteran Nazr Mohammed to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Morris Peterson and D.J. White. With these 2 trades, what Bobcats lose most is “good character guys”. Nazr and Gerald were leaders in the locker room. However, the way I look at it is if you are trapped under a rock and cutting off your own arm was the only option to survive... They did what they had to do. The moves could drop the Bobcats under $50M in salaries this up coming year, which means they could sign at least one big name free agent. Some guys that might be available are Jamal Crawford, Glen Davis, Caron Butler, Arron Afflalo, Nene Hilario, J.R. Smith, Wilson Chandler, Rodney Stuckey, Tayshaun Prince, Yao Ming, DeAndre Jordan, Marc Gasol, Zach Randolph, James Jones, David West and Nick Young. One thing is for sure Gerald Wallace will always be loved in Charlotte and 20 years from now I hope our kids call him “Mr. Bobcat.” Let me know what you think http://www.iamagm.com/analysis/cameron.buchan/bobcats.life.after.wallace1 point

Honestly not watching the game, but we are holding tough against another elite team tonight, what the [expletive] else is it going to take for BC to realize Bargnani does not help this team? At best he has a neutral affect, then you factor in his huge salary, trade him for expirings.1 point

lol @ Mike Breen getting on K-Mart's nuts. can players do anything at all anymore without getting criticized for it? the man got an offensive rebound off a free throw and sealed the deal for the Nuggets. I think he has the right to get a little excited about it.1 point

He definitely shouldn't say that because Amar'e doesn't really bang inside either lol. They both are pretty similar, actually in the style of play in the sense that i think both are kinda soft.1 point

I don't dislike him. I think he's misunderstood... Some of his techs he gets are cause of his rep. I saw him get thrown out of a game for looking at a ref for 3 seconds lol... I wouldnt mind trading him though cause he rarely plays good D and he Jax (get it? Lol) up too many shots... but no one will take his contract... Probably gonna have to keep him...1 point

Maybe those stats don't prove it, but Kobe is still the driving force behind the Lakers and its easy to see. However, I do agree with your general point that its never Kobe's fault lol.1 point

I won't even get into how stupid Amar'e has been recently... He really pissed me off with what he tweeted about BYU over the Brandon Davies situation... Anyway.... I'll just say that Pau is one of the most underrated players in the game... Pau is not soft and Amar'e is the last big man (other than Bosh) to be calling anyone soft... The Knicks can't win games right now cause NO ONE DEFENDS THE PAINT OR REBOUNDS..... Ama're should be the one doing those things. Pau stepped up huge earlier this year while Bynum was out and played great. Pau Gasol 10.2 rpg Def Rating: 103 Def WS: 4.3 Amar'e Stoudemire 8.3 rpg Def Rating: 108 Def WS: 2.4 So Amar'e.... I gotta give you one of these ... I have a feeling you'll be sitting at home after about 5 or 6 games into the playoffs.... And i hate the Lakers1 point
-
I like to see Bynum stepping up and defending his teammat. But honestly Amare should be the last on talk about Pau seeing that he hasnt won anthing yet, while Pau is already sitting on two and possibly three rings after this year.1 point

I guess I didn't read the old suggestion. The new one seems nice, except for one thing: teams like the Utah Jazz will get absolutely no discussion. According to the ACP, we have a few Jazz fans...and only two of them really sat down to post, and neither are active. Game topics are moved into the home team's forum. If there's a Lakers/Jazz game (in Utah), all discussion will still more than likely be in the Lakers forum, if we use your method. However, having the gameday topics the way they are now means that a potential 3-4 page Lakers/Jazz topic (let's just say it's a playoff game that means something) would be moved to the Jazz forum if it's at Utah. In the end, less means less. If we were a multi-sports site that really didn't bank on, or care about, our NBA talk...we'd create one topic in General NBA and just let it pile on. I don't care about the look. Someone can go into the Jazz forum and see a Jazz/Pacers game getting one post, doesn't matter to me. I'd rather them go into the Gameday topic and have access to 1,230 games, as if it was a calendar, and have it all at their fingertips without deciding to ignore the least popular team forums every game.1 point

Very easy for me..... Monta is a GREAT scorer...... But i want someone who can create for others AND themselves... That's Westbrook... And Monta doesn't play D... Something about little SG's i don't like. You give up way too much defensively... Height matters on the defensive side. I never liked A.I. that much either. Westbrook is a poor man's Derrick Rose... Not many NBA players i would take over Westbrook if i was starting a franchise. 22.1 ppg and 8.3 apg is beast mode...1 point

It depends on the player. Kevin Durant came into poor situation with the lack of attendance and reason for optimism in Seattle and the team moving down to Oklahoma City the season after. The Thunder/Supersonics virtually had no veterans too. Washington was the laughingstock of the NBA last year and as far as I can tell John Wall is doing a tremendous job down there and has turned the ship around almost by himself. Prospects weak mentally are going to need a veteran and winning presence in order grow though.1 point

This was well written, good job Truth... N/A is right. We are setting ourself up to have cap room in 2012 to go after a big name (CP3, DH-12, D-Will) now can the Bobcats sign one of them?.... I don't know man... CP3 will be the only guy we have a shot at i think. Just cause him being from NC and playing college ball at Wake and everything. MJ has been horrible up until recently... Sadly, trading away G-Dub was his best move he's ever made.... That's depressing lol... I haven't liked 1 single draft pick he has made except D.J. is starting to play well this season. I pray we either trade our 2, 1st rd picks + fillers for a Center.... Too bad the young, good centers like Bynum and Horford play for teams that don't need picks and Centers like Hibbert and Bogut play for teams that they desperately need a star player so they will most likely not be interested in any trades we may offer...1 point

Even with the troubles UConn had rebounding, they pulled put out the win with Napier stepping up this time. Lamb was very quiet the whole game but Kentucky deserves props as they did a great job running with him and Kemba through off ball screens. Kemba was held in check for the most part with only 18 points but contributed with 6 assists and 7 rebounds. The length of Liggins really made a difference today as he got shot blocked quite a few times. Knight struggled especially late in the game, went 5-21 from the field today. They made a push coming out in the 2nd half but ran out gas. Can't wait for Monday, going to be a great game. Predicting Kemba goes for 40.1 point

So many turnovers and sloppy passes from UConn. Give it to Kemba and run some half court offense.1 point

Yeah he used to score 20 points per game before but I don't like it for the Heat. I think it might take 2-6 months to actually be fully healthy for Eddy Curry! I mean, 350 pounds is way too much and he's REALLY fat man! He needs to work his ass off to lose as much weight as possible before going on a basketball court. Fitness, work out, basketball until playoffs and then Heat should look at him and see if he'll be capable in playing. I think Heat should give more time to Joel Anthony who is a really good hustler and a great defender in my point of view.1 point

You really get pissed when someone says anything bad about the Heat, huh? The Bulls rolled the Heat like a broom rolls dust particles across the floor. Season sweep. Rolled. Beaten all three times. The Heat went 0-3. I don't know how else to say it. And Wade doesn't do shit by himself, and those meltdowns had been happening quite a bit since the season started in October...completely irrelevant as to how they lost the game. They don't gain partial HCA by barely losing, or having meltdowns as an excuse.1 point

Far from awesome, if anything we have a solid core with Wall, Crawford, Booker, possibly Young and McGee. I still do not support keeping Blatche past this year. Because Washington would not give up Kirk Hinrich without getting Jordan in return. Had he stayed another year at Xavier, he would be a lottery pick in this year's draft. I've watched every game Nick Young has played in since entering the league, and I can honestly say he would never be able to perform at the level Jordan played at last night. He showed maturity and the willingness to be unselfish for the betterment of the team. He played a completely different role from the previous games as a starter, and that speaks volumes towards his potential. Crawford shows some upside on the defensive end as well, and is overall the better guard. I fully support him being the starter along with Wall in 2012. But all of it depends on how much Nick asks for in the offseason, if we get him cheap, he's likely to remain the starter. Either way the way we were constructed, we would have been one of those marginal teams like Atlanta, good enough to perennially lose in the 2nd round. The rebuild of this team has been amazing, I truly believe the gun-gate saved this franchise, as it forced us to demolish the tragically flawed roster. Big props to Ted Leonsis, he sent the message to Ernie to rebuild properly, and Ernie has reacted by stockpiling on young talent.1 point
