  1. Seriously? You won the lottery to draft LeBron James less than 10 years ago. Try being a Raptor fan. They win the lottery in 1996, but because of some ridiculous rule that states expansion teams aren't allowed the 1st pick in the draft for something like 3 years after they have been in the league, they lose out on Allen Iverson and instead draft Marcus Camby. Then the next time they win the lottery it just so happens to be the first year after players aren't allowed to enter the draft straight out of high school. So instead of drafting Greg Oden or Kevin Durant, the Raptors get stuck with Andrea Bargnani. Now this season they are projected to pick 4th in what is looking highly likely to be a two person draft in Irving and Williams. It just so happens that one of those two players (Williams) might not even be that good of a fit on the Raptors anyways. So really, boo freaking hoo. You tank, draft LeBron become an elite team for the next 7 years or so, lose LeBron and tank another season and you are bitching about shitty luck? Give me a break.

  6. Hi guys, Don't know where to put this. I have for sale 6 NBA cards, they're rare from 1996-1997 season. They're all framed (except Steve Nash one) as soon as opened from packs (in 1996 lol), and the front peels are still even on the card (for the Finest cards), and in new condition. http://img1.classistatic.com/cps/kj/110405/036r5/89124b8_20.jpeg http://img1.classistatic.com/cps/kj/110405/036r1/3750391_20.jpeg From top left clock wise: - Kobe Bryant 1996-1997 Fleer Ultra "Fresh Faces", (card no: 3 of 9) - Steve Nash 1996-1997 Finest common Rookie Card (card no: 75) - Kobe Bryant 1996-1997 Flair Showcase "Class of 96" (card no: 4 of 20) - Kobe Bryant 1996-1997 Finest rare gold (card no: 269) - Kobe Bryant 1996-1997 Finest common Rookie Card (card no: 74) - Kobe Bryant 1996-1997 Topps Stadium Club "Rookie Showcase" (card no: RS11) I'm in Australia, but can post this. Price???? Honestly I don't know, but I know the - Kobe Bryant 1996-1997 Finest common Rookie Card (card no: 74) one is expensive and could be $100ish.

  9. Hell no. Are the standards to get into the HOF falling this low? No way in hell should Carter be in the HOF. He was a really good player. Really good is not and should not be enough to be in the HOF. In 2001 you may have considered him elite...but one season does not make you a HOF. He was a choker and for the most part just put up stats on bad teams. He missed the playoffs for half his career. The one team he did have success for, he quit on them. He gets traded to NJ and ORL and PHX and is basically just another player for them. For his career, he's basically had just 1 good playoff run and even then he only got to the 2nd round. If we're gonna put VC in the Hall, then we gotta put guys like Marbury, Sprewell, Glen Rice, and Stackhouse in too. Then the Hall of Fame becomes the Hall of the Pretty Good.

  10. Good decision, especially with the lockout looming, we deserve to see another great season of NCAA ball with a terrific recruiting class and some of the top prospects staying. Let's just hope Derrick Williams stays in the draft though... :glasses:

  11. That's fine, because I remember you saying that he didn't deserve those MVP's. If you're going to argue against Carter, you can't just sit there and tell me his lack of defense takes him out of the discussion. Barkley has zero rings and one MVP, no defense. If we're going to start sticking guys into the Hall because they win MVP awards, I guess we'll be declaring Derrick Rose a HOF'er after this season.

  12. If you're just handing over an argument based on Vince's defense, you're going to have a hard time arguing against a two-time MVP out in Phoenix.
