Okay htown and I decided that we would do a top five favorite movies for different actors every week from now on. This to add some movie discussion on this forum. So every week either him or I will ask you what are your five favorite movies from a particular actor. I hope most people will participate. Anyway I'm gonna start this with Jim Carrey. One of the best comic actors ever, his presence alone is enough to have a good movie. Without him most of his movies would be alright at best, but thanks to his incredible performances, his movies are just amazing. So just mention your five favorite movies with Jim Carrey. Here are mines : Me, Myself and Irene Only him could play in that one.. Honestly, other than him, who could have played this schizophrenic guy ? Especially the scene in the end in which he fights himself lol... So many great lines in this movies... Like those ones for instance : "Vagiclean ? What's the matter honey ? A lil extra cheese on the taco ?" "- Hey big guy did you hear the news ? My son Billy got the lead in the high school musical. - Well I guess he likes the cock after all." The Mask Don't like this one as much as the other four ones (who are my very favorite by far), but still a very good one, besides it's the movie that made Carrey famous so it has to be mentioned in my top 5 haha. Bonus : It's not a movie scene but it's still one of my very favorite Carrey clips ever, simply hilarious, I can watch it over and over again lol :

I've been posting here with some decent activity, but after reading Real Deal's post about taking time off, I'll do my best to help create some discussion here. Not promising a ton of posts, but I will reply to more topics that interest me and make some time when I get online for OTR exclusively. Love the basketball talk here, and let's get this site hopping even without Real Deal in the current picture. Let's make this site something special so that when Real Deal logs in, it's better each time.

I agree. I dont think it fuels the fire all that much especially this late in the season lol its the finals for god sakes what more do you need to play your best ball? But with that said I do think it fuels it a little, because no matter what anyone says, if your a competitor and someone is attemting to trash it is going to piss you off a little. It might even bring out the little edge that you had been missing. Thats what I beleive happened in this case.

Dirk's been better in the Finals than LeBron, but Wade has been better than both...so, if you're going to call Wade the best player in the game and series, it's something I won't argue. :glasses:

I think this will be a cool idea, with basketball nearing a close this could be a fun way to discuss some of our favorite movies, I also hope people participate each week. :glasses: Jim Carrey is an amazing actor, his classics far outweigh his recent stuff but at the end of the day you walk out of the theater happy after watching his movies, just seems like he was born to do this. At the end of it all it's such a relatable story for a busy parent who loves his kid but never really has a chance to show it because of work. I used to watch this all the time when I was little. It's a funny story and only Jim could really bring out the comedy in that character. I am not a huge fan of this film but it is a memorable role that Jim plays, Oliver summed it up well, I mean seriously who could play this role so well other than Jim it's insane.

100% agree this makes no sense. It's kinda like Wilbon put it the other day, if you need a taunt of some sort to wake you up and play motivated you have some serious motivation issues lol. Where was the Mavs "effort" before that? I mean after all it is the finals! It's like saying if Wade didn't stand and appreciate that "dagger" at that point and time the Mavs would have never woken up? I mean is that the basis for a team that's losing... to not wake up until another player celebrates in front of there bench? I just don't get that logic. Wade did exactly what any player would have done when making a big shot, he celebrated, I find calling out the Heat's effort much more realistic than saying Wade's celebration is responsible for the final outcome.
