But what exactly am I disagreeing with you about? That Kerr would make a good addition to ESPN? Nobody's arguing that. That Kerr has a contract? You can't disagree that Kerr has a contract. He wasn't being a prick, he was just explaining why the Kerr thing won't happen, and he did so politely. You're the one who overreacted and was a prick. Even when you were being a prick he was being respectful and thorough, even though he should have just told you to [expletive] yourself.

My boss' father was a sportswriter in Arizona (where Steve Kerr went to college) who knew about the family. My boss is going for a doctorate in political science and has studied Steve's father extensively. When I told him about how I was at a luncheon where I met Steve Kerr he took the opportunity to fill me in on the life of Dr. Malcolm Kerr. He himself isn't a sports fan, but because of his father, his studies, and my profession, we arrived at a point of conversation that I thought was pretty cool, each of us negotiating our lenses of what we knew of the family and how we knew of them. If you can't find appreciation in that, and want to research a little bit about cool people, well, you probably have a very insular way of looking at the world.
