The belief in witches dates far back before the birth of Christ, and witch hunts were also pre-Christian. Ancient Egypt and in Babylonia had laws against witches and malevolent sorcery. Yes, but to say that only Christians believed and organized witch hunts is not only inaccurate, but stupidly judgmental.
