The following players were all drafted in the top three in their respective draft classes going back to 2004. How many of these players are "franchise players". I'm counting four true franchise players at this point, with there also being other all-star players. How many of those players are better than Harden? I didn't see this game unfortunately, but if Miami continues to relentlessly attack the rim, OKC has no chance. If Wade goes 8-22, LeBron shoots under 50%, Bosh shoots 3-12, and you still lose, well you should be incredibly worried. Durant needs to be better defensively. I don't care if I missed the game, I read on twitter that he fell for that Wade fake (again) and was in foul trouble again. The Thunder won't win if they have to work their rotation/gameplan around his fouls.

2-3-2 puts way too much of an emphasis on the first two games. Using this year as an example. If OKC wins the first two at home, they go to Miami needing to win just 1 of the 3 in order to have 2 closeout games in a row at home. Stupid. If Miami wins the first two on the road, they get 3 games in a row at home. Stupid. If the series is split, Miami has to win 2 in order to avoid having to face two straight closeout games on the road. Stupid. Basically, whoever is the first to 2 wins in this series will win the series under this format. 18 of the last 20 Finals winners were the team that won 2 games first (coincidently, the two times they didn't win both involved Miami and Dallas).

Ok so last night I was thinking about how [expletive]ing stupid the premise for this thread is and how wrong you are(not a surprise, you're always wrong ecn). you say "looking at the starting lineups", but not just the starting lineups. do you really think the 92 dream team was shallow and couldn't make adjustments? Scottie Pippen, one of the greatest defenders of all time, is a bench player on the dream team. I'm pretty sure he could matchup with LeBron. David Robinson and Karl Malone are bigs that can come off the bench. Do you really think LeBron or Rose are getting to the basket with a lineup of Robinson/ Malone/Pippen/Drexler/Jordan? You could put Jordan on Rose, and he goes nowhere. The 92 dream team consists of hall of famers while the 2012 team has only 2 guaranteed hall of famers. Fact of the matter is if you take the entire roster, the 1992 dream team is far superior, and it isn't even close.
