Eight months from now (see the resemblance, I'm pretty obsessed with the number eight), on our eighth year, I'm going to step down as site owner, and I'm handing it over to Kyle. If Kyle decides not to run it, I'm going to shut the site down for good. It won't be for sale, and nobody else will be given the position. I'm tired of the fighting and the complaining. I'm tired of getting reports, messages on Facebook and PM's on here, seeing it all over the board, and basically, people really not giving a damn anymore. I'm also tired of paying a hosting bill for a site that isn't getting anywhere anymore. We were spammed for months, lost a good chunk of our younger members because of it, and that's how things work. We can't put together a team of writers, can't put together a graphics team, can't run a sim league, and can't have division leaders without inactivity or bickering. IPB needs a major update, and that involves a new skin. That means I'll need to draw one up from scratch, re-design anything else I've made (such as the roster pages), and the effort to do all of that doesn't seem to be worth it anymore. I'm going to consider this once the NBA Finals are over with, actually...don't feel like there's a need to wait until January 2013...it all depends on where I'm at with things I won't discuss on here. I assume Kyle won't want the responsibility, nor will he want to pay for the hosting each month, so I'm almost certain it's time to put on the brakes and put this thing in park for good. I'm not going to make some big speech about how things used to be, how great it has been...this is all I'm putting out there. Sorry guys.

Here's what I used above: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCADLj0Y1QE&feature=player_embedded That works (with the embed code at the end). But, like I said, if you have the embed code BEFORE the video ID in the URL, it won't parse. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=XCADLj0Y1QE That won't work. I really can't do anything about the inconvenience. Wish I could. Basically, the tag (it adds a media tag, whether you use one or not) is specifically coded to read the video ID first. If there are any extras, it can actually parse that as well (ex. starting a video on load), but all of that has to come after the video ID. It's kind of annoying, but then again, it really doesn't take that long to edit it out of the URL (or just look at the placement).

Deron Williams Interested in joining the Lakers?
Real Deal replied to magicbalala245's topic in General NBA Discussion

Avery Bradley could be out for the rest of the playoffs. That's HUGE if the Celtics advance.
-
Yes sir. I actually didn't realize they had put into place a short link system, never have used those options before.
-
All you have to do is add the full URL, and it will parse by itself...don't have to add JUST the video code (letters and numbers) anymore, nor do you need any tags to go along with it. This: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCADLj0Y1QE Is all you need to add to your post, and it will show up as DBF's video he posted earlier:

Pittman suspended 3 games, Haslem 1
Real Deal replied to NomarFachix's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
Instead of suspending Pittman, they should have forced the Heat to play him a mandatory 25 minutes a night. That would have been worse for Miami. -
Tony Allen definitely deserves the first team vote. I'm glad the coaches realized it.

Charles Barkley argued that Dwight Howard is the best center in the NBA. Shaq says Andrew Bynum is. Shaq is interviewing for the General Manager job in Orlando. That's all I'm saying.

If the Nets land the first pick in the draft...
Real Deal posted a topic in Orlando Magic Team Forum
Assuming the Nets land that pick, would you trade Dwight Howard to Brooklyn for the pick and fillers (if you're the Magic GM)? For the Nets, it locks up Deron Williams, that's for sure. -
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/writers/sam_amick/05/23/howard.bynum/index.html#ixzz1viz0Rhlf Of course, it also mentions the Nets and Mavericks, so read on. The article (full article) is a good read, anyway. At one point, I would have just disregarded this stuff, but after we had CP3 for one day...I'm going to start thinking that ANYTHING is possible with Mitch Kupchak as GM. The guy can get it done. Word was that Bynum, Blake and Ebanks were headed to Orlando for Dwight Howard, if D12 didn't waive his option. I didn't believe it at first, but now that I've been reading it from many people (including Woj), I'm starting to think it was legit. The Lakers could be an entirely different team next season.

I wasn't saying that he wasn't in the game because of the blowout, I'm just repeating what people were stating, the ones that didn't watch the game and, I guess, weren't paying attention to the score when they saw the elbow highlight.

Some of you are posting the links with extras in them. http://www.youtube.com/watch? This above is the guts of your URL...you'll always see that. What SHOULD follow? v=XCADLj0Y1QE The "v" stands for video, of course...and then you have the video code. Extras would be added to the URL with an "&" sign... &feature=player_embedded Sometimes, those URL's will work IF you have the video code FIRST. But, I see a lot of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=XCADLj0Y1QE And that will not work (video code placed after the extras). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCADLj0Y1QE&feature=player_embedded http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCADLj0Y1QE These two are correct.

I'm taking a guess and saying he was a Sonics fan.

I doubt they wanted the Heat to go out and act like THAT. The idea was to get into their heads, and see if LeBron and Wade step in Granger and George's faces, taunting them or even a bit of pushing, whatever...but no, I doubt the idea was to have Pittman come in and land a Lex Luger flying elbow, or have Haslem act like the hammer in a Whac-A-Mole game.
-
Could beeeeeeeeee.

LeBron is the better overall player, although I would take Durant at the end of the game if I was looking for someone to take the game-winner. Durant can't go haywire on offense and STILL play excellent defense. If he does, it's for a quarter or two, max. Also, LeBron's passing ability helps separate him from Durant as well. KD is getting better, and has helped facilitate this season, but LBJ has him by a mile. I'm sure that's the case on other message boards, but most of our Heat fans have been posting for years, far before LeBron showing his face. That's just disrespectful.

The bad thing is that Pittman has played three minutes, one game, in the playoffs...before this game. He has a total of 301 minutes in the regular season, 35 games. How many minutes did he play tonight? Three. So people are looking at this and wondering why he was in the game, and of course, they are going to think that someone (whether it was the team as a collective voice, or one of the starters, or even Howard) told him to go out there and elbow Lance Stephenson in the neck. All I was reading on Twitter was, "Why was Pittman even in the game? Oh, THAT'S WHY." The wink sure the hell didn't make anything better, and the fans cheering didn't help the situation, either.
-
Pittman is a POS anyway. He would foul the hell out of people back when he played at Texas, cheap shots, and nobody liked him around here because of it (not even the many Texas fans that live in my area). Psycho T's foul was a Flagrant 1. Haslem's foul was a Flagrant 2. I don't think Haslem should see a suspension, but there should be a fine, and he should have been ejected from the game. Pittman should get seven games, if not more, just because of the way he was acting after the elbow.
-
I've never seen so many people hate a team in my life. My Twitter and Facebook has been filled with hate since all of that shit went down tonight...now that I think about it, probably as bad as it was when they were celebrating their 7-8 championships in 2010. I started talking about how much of a punk Granger has been in the first four games of this series, but tonight was much different. Haslem hit Tyler for the sole reason to send a message, and I would not be surprised if Pittman (of all people, funny enough...we always joke about sending out a scrub to take out a player, but it's just that...a joke) was sent out for the same reason.

Did Ron Artest deserve his seven-game suspension for his elbow on Harden? No blood drawn.
