  1. LOLOL YOU GUISE ARE FUNNY. I'll give $100 to the first ten people who quote this IF the Raiders don't win their division next season. http://dailypicksandflicks.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/obama-walking-away-like-a-boss.gif Just kidding.
  2. EASTERN CONFERENCE 1) Miami Heat 2) Indiana Pacers 3) Chicago Bulls 4) New York Knicks 5) Brooklyn Nets 6) Boston Celtics 7) Atlanta Hawks 8) Milwaukee Bucks WESTERN CONFERENCE 1) San Antonio Spurs 2) Oklahoma City Thunder 3) LA Clippers 4) Memphis Grizzlies 5) Denver Nuggets 6) Houston Rockets 7) Utah Jazz 8) LA Lakers I feel like Golden State is going to slip up and end the season 1-2 games out of the 8th seed. They could be a .500 team, but I believe LA will sneak in at #8, winning 10 of their last 14 already AND playing for Jerry Buss. The Warriors just played their way out of a six-game losing streak, but are approaching five consecutive road games (three vs. Pacers, Knicks, Celtics), and they play the Lakers two more times to end the season (which is significant).
  3. Kobe and Nash, but they aren't as good as they should be together...mainly because Nash isn't being as aggressive as he should be (role of a shooter). I basically took the best one-on-one player on the list (Kobe) and the best shooter (Nash, he's a 50/40/90 guy and arguably the greatest shooter of all-time). Lin has had the bigger games this season (over Nash), but Harden carries the Rockets a lot more than he should have to, with a PG like Lin on the team. With Nash, you realize he's having to adjust big time, and he's also 39 years old...but after "Linsanity" hit New York, you had to expect a little more out of him when he came to Houston (not that all of us did, but the bar was raised). The best way to explain my choice, though, aside from the best one-on-one player and best shooter, would be to simply say that, if I took one duo into the playoffs, for one playoff run...it would be Kobe and Nash, trying to put all bias aside.
  4. McLemore really does have this Ray Allen feel to him...and that's not saying he's going to be the star that Allen was (because many people don't understand just how good Ray Ray was when he was carrying teams in his younger years), but that's what I'm seeing in regards to his style. Problem is, he's not "Ray Allen good" when it comes to shooting the rock, and I don't think he'll have that franchise player presence, that primacy, unless he starts dominating with the ball in his hands. Another year at KU would do him good, but I doubt he goes for that, unfortunately. And wow, Miami just had their asses handed to them by Wake.
  5. And no, it's not a joke. It's really Slaven. There's a video on the page. http://www.khou.com/news/local/21-year-old-protects-family-kills-suspect-during-home-invasion-in-NW-Harris-County-192475271.html He says he's okay, realizes it had to be done...hard to avoid reacting that way when your family is in danger. Also said that if you want to talk, he's on AIM.
  6. Flip a coin on the two/three. I thought it was a three at first, but then it's far too hard to tell on the replay. I didn't see any space between the toe and the line, but it could go either way. Portland let that ball inbounds EASILY. Wow. What the hell?
  7. Very disappointed that the Lakers didn't go after him, now that I see what the Magic received in return. Oh well.
  8. This decision to keep him was ignorant, sorry. I understand the value of cap space, but they are already sitting well in that regard next season, I believe. They aren't going to get a damn thing for Smith now...he's definitely walking.
  9. This could be a big deal, honestly. Just another defensive piece to the equation...a championship-caliber team getting better.
  10. Jeff Withey is so underrated. He's actually the biggest reason we won that game...and not just all of his FT's he hit, but he was on the glass, posting up, fouling out their defensive big, etc. McLemore and Smart were awful...but Ben was really pissing me off. I understand he was being locked up, but damn, you have to WANT the ball when the game is on the line. He was standing as far from the pass as he could, and with Elijah Johnson fouled out, we didn't have a scorer out there.
  11. Honestly, I'm just interested in seeing if Houston will give T-Rob a chance in the five, right off the bat. I know they'll consider Delfino in the five if they don't want to, and Parsons playing up a position, but I'd love to see McHale just throw him out there and believe in him. But, I need the Rockets to lose games, also...unless the Warriors or Jazz feel it's best if they relinquish that playoff spot to the Lakers, lol.
  12. Right. My point was, I'm not sure why you'd deal him again...and who you would deal him for (single player)...after you traded away a couple of forwards already.
  13. I'm not sure what Robinson would have been involved in AFTER being dealt, since you wouldn't be able to deal him again, in another multi-player trade, until the season is over with.
  14. Everyone will have a tech by the end of the night, lol.
  15. This is sick. Can't wait to see them on the court together. The Nets should go ahead and trade for Robin Lopez, Wali.
