  1. On Ron's return for Game 7: Sad that I can't wait for him to come back and play. In December/January, we were discussing the amnesty on Ron, because he was playing so bad on both ends of the court. His last month has been pretty good, and Kobe is money with what he's saying. Very few Lakers fans are disagreeing with any of this, even Kobe's reaction to it, and that includes some notorious Kobe haters on TLN (which surprised the hell out of me). We have watched 66 regular season games, six playoff games, and every second of those...and we have been waiting for the Phil Jackson moment coming out of Kobe. This is it. These last two games, this team is no better than the 2006 team with Parker, Kwame, and Walton...ironically, the one that gave up the 3-1 lead over Phoenix and lost in the first round.
  2. http://espn.go.com/nba/conversations/_/id/7918758/2012-nba-playoffs-indiana-pacers-coach-frank-vogel-says-miami-heat-biggest-floppers-league Uh oh, shots fired! Disagree, though...the Clippers are the biggest flopping team in the league, but Miami is probably second. LeBron Heat in five games?
  3. Is MJ one of your favorite players? Jordan would have already slapped the shit out of Drew, and called him out during the game, in the huddle, for the cameraman to catch. That's just how it goes, though. People would say that Kobe couldn't get it done without Phil and Fisher because he's not a leader, can't say what he needs to when it comes to his teammates, doesn't call them out, etc. But when he does say anything remotely close to calling them out, he's just as bad for doing it.
  4. And all after running his mouth about how close-out games were the easiest. Even McGee found effort to discuss that after Game 5, saying that everyone in the Denver locker room was paying attention to the comments, and that they came out to prove Drew wrong. Drew is a dumbass.
  5. And Shaq threw down on Bynum after the game. Damn.
  6. Scared of the moment? That's my only guess. We only have one player that wants it right now. Sadly, our other one is suspended (will be back for GM7) and the third player we had was traded to Houston and now plays for OKC.
  7. Most of you non-Lakers fans know about his cheap shot on Barea, and some of the things he has said in interviews. But here's something else we've been seeing out of him lately: http://h11.abload.de/img/untitled-419kdh.gif No matter how good of a center he is, specifically as a scorer, he is a jackass. Pretty sure he thinks he's Shaq out there, and it's to the point where I'm starting to wish we would have just traded everything we had for Dwight, despite Howard's attitude as well.
  8. The entire team, with the exception of Kobe and Hill, are playing like they are at a [expletive]ing park, three hours in with no water.
  9. Put the entire team on the block, minus Kobe and Jordan Hill.
  10. Yeah, or a lot of the new guys have 2-3 different accounts, for some reason.
  11. Why is Smith so important anyway? You guys do realize he's not coming back to New York, right? I can guarantee this.
  12. Chicago would have lost in the second round, anyway.
  13. 1) Our veteran members are getting older, and 2) In the 7+ years that we've been up, the up-and-coming sites (that almost always fade out) spam the shit out of our site to gain members (going through our PM system, usually, and sometimes offering staff positions to our non-staff posters), and that takes its toll over time. We've also had a lot of our ideas stolen, including designs (the code that I wrote myself actually stolen). In addition, we have guys that come here, expecting an immediate spot on staff (whether it's a mod position, writing crew, etc), and when they don't get it within four weeks of posting, they leave...which is perfectly fine with me. I'm aware that there are a few sites that have 1,000+ posts per day. That's fantastic. When OTR was doing that, we were also at our worst, in regards to our basketball knowledge and reputation, and that is typically how it goes.
  14. LOL, seems inevitable, barring any other torn ACL's.
  15. Kobe has gastroenteritis, game time decision. Someone must have poisoned his food again, like the idiots did in Sacramento.
  16. We can't let McGee look like Wilt this game, and I'm seriously getting [expletive]ing tired of Andre Miller destroying Steve Blake. That's exactly why we need Ron back.
  17. Blake hurt, CP3 hurt. Honestly, if the Clippers don't win Game 6, I really doubt they will beat the Grizz in Memphis, Game 7. Wonder how hurt Blake really is. It's the same knee that he injured his rookie season.
  18. Over Boston? I don't know about all that.
  19. Wade/Bibby feud. Shit just got real.
  20. Nah. They both had high expectations coming in...Memphis rocking the Spurs last year, the Clippers nabbing Chris Paul. I picked Memphis, but it's not really a surprise to see the Clips on the verge of moving on, especially when you consider how close these games have been.
