I'm really not shocked to see Boston up in this series. I wonder if Atlanta will finally realize that Joe Johnson is not a primary scoring option by this summer? Can't say much about this game, though. When Pargo is one of your most aggressive players, and another being the guy that has missed most of the season...you really have to wonder how much longer this Hawks team will be together. I think Boston closes out the series in Atlanta, Game 5.

A lot of contact on one end, little on the other. Surprised Boozer didn't get a tech, though. -

Game getting a bit too emotional for the Sixers. They need to calm down, despite how pissed off the fans seem to be. -

Make or break for Chicago. This isn't for the series, technically, but they can't lose this one and go down 3-1. I don't think Noah will be playing, either...so I'm expecting the Bulls to get the shit kicked out of them. Noah is a vital piece to their defense, and really, the only way Chicago wins this series is if they play the defense they've played all season long. With a struggling offense (no Rose) and now Noah out (pretty sure he's out), things are looking bleak for the Bulls. -
Knew it would be a sweep, even when Dallas was up. I just had a gut feeling someone was going to step up and take advantage of the Mavericks. Really, OKC has three all-star caliber players on their roster, and one was bound to do it when the team needed a boost. I felt like the Mavs played frustrated, anyway. Marion acted like he was pissed off the entire game, didn't mean much to Dallas back on offense most of the series. To be honest, Jet was the only guy I thought played well against the Thunder. Dirk hasn't shot well all season long, Kidd couldn't hit anything even when he was left open, and Vince Carter was so irrelevant, Dallas would have had a better time with Lamar Odom, had they kept him.

GM3: Memphis at LA Clippers
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in Los Angeles Clippers Team Forum
I have no idea why Conley didn't just attack the rim. I knew Rudy was going to take a poor, contested jumper right when Conley hit the brakes...just not enough time left on the clock, obvious it would be a catch-and-shoot, and Gay was the guy that dropped those two big threes to get them back in it, anyway. And yeah, I agree, the Spurs will run over both. Memphis would have lost last season, if SAS had a healthy Ginobili. -
Barkley keeps talking about how this Pacer team can give Miami trouble, but I don't see it. When the smoke clears, yeah, Hibbert can do well against Joel Anthony, but he's not enough to put them over the top, and I just don't know how reliable Danny Granger will be against LeBron James.

San An will smell blood and beat them in Game 4. Pop won't let up, either, because he'll want the guys to rest, knowing there's a potential seven-game series going on with Memphis and the Clips.

I'd like Money if he didn't act like a punk 24/7. I've lost all interest in boxing since Roy Jones Jr. fell as quickly as he did (and started losing interest once Tyson bit off Evander's ear). Just not the same for me.

RD1 GM3: Chicago at Philadelphia

Looked bad to me. I've had my share of ankle problems...seemed like it was closer to a Grade II sprain (which would be a partial tear) than just a simple one. I don't see how he's coming back for this series OR any potential second-round games. -
It's obvious this team STILL goes as Kobe goes. The rest, including Bynum, cannot get their own unless Bryant is drawing doubles OR spoon-feeding them. Once Kobe started going cold, and the Nuggets threw doubles at Drew, this game was in the bag. Gasol doesn't have the sack to take over.

Should have been out on Brewer, and that wasn't a travel on Barnes, either. Oh well.

Carmelo's playoff win percentage
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in New York Knicks Team Forum
Well, in my eyes, trading an all-star is considered a drastic change, especially when the Knicks are already struggling to score the ball. I have no faith in a Melo/Amare duo. -
Might as well root for Boston here. I want the better team to advance, and with Josh Smith out (and no Horford), the Hawks would get picked apart by the Heat in a potential ECF match-up. Feels like Boston is now the second best team in the East.
