Who did the Raiders pick in the first round? Oh shit, nevermind, we have CARSON PALMER.

I'll let you have the honors of changing the title for the final time, Shaliq.

They don't hold the record just yet. They have to lose tonight, against the Knicks. If the Knicks tank, and the Bobcats win this last game, their win percentage shoots up to around .120 or so.

Brandon Neal's NBA Playoffs Power Rankings
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in General NBA Discussion
Makaveli gives you a good answer, but to be more in-depth, they are 8-2 in their last ten (includes the current five-game winning streak that should be six once they beat the Magic tonight...and above everything else, they play FAR better defense than the Clippers. In the article, I made it sound like Rudy Gay was the big deal...but specifically for this series, Marc Gasol and Tony Allen are going to be very important. CP3 is going to have to go off. In his last 13 games, he has shot a combined 43.5%, which doesn't reflect what he usually puts up (the guy can shoot 47% or better for a season). Just too inconsistent right now. Outside of that, the Clippers get to the line, but can't hit a free throw to save their lives, and more disappointing (when you consider their front line), they can't rebound the ball, despite having Griffin, Jordan, K-Mart and Evans. -
I actually think CP3 was hurting from the last game, and someone during the game said that he had a strained groin. Still, it's a bad situation for the Clips, because the Grizzlies are a pretty good home team, and like last year, they will feed off of their crowd.

Knicks to finish year top 5 in Defensive Effiency
Real Deal replied to fish7718's topic in New York Knicks Team Forum
Well, it's no secret what you were getting with Chandler anchoring the defense, and he is a very deserving DPOY candidate (my pick). Can't really be surprised with Shump, either, especially if you were watching him at Georgia Tech. He was on the ACC All-Defensive team, if I recall correctly, and you just knew a guy like him would come in and get the job done on that end of the floor (kind of like Avery Bradley). Can't read the article, because Safari is being a bitch on my iPhone and making me scroll left-right for MILES because of the pictures and video, but I'm going to assume the author is talking about Chandler as the anchor, Shump's on-ball defense, and the Knicks' ability to close out quick (hell, JR Smith is quick enough to get it done, and Melo's athleticism/length combo allows him to contest from further away). It's interesting to see just how much the team has changed from last season. -

Why would an injury-free team (don't consider Harden injured) like the Thunder need rest in a shortened season? Durant, Westbrook, Harden and Ibaka are younger than Juwan Howard, when you combine their ages...and Perkins is only 27. All of their losses in the first half of the year...well, a few were against the Wizards, Kings and Cavaliers. Since the Cavs loss, back in early March, their losses have been against playoff teams. I don't see why I would put the Heat over OKC for that reason. Miami is 11-8 in their last 19 games, six of those eight with their big three playing. The only guy that doesn't look worn out on the Heat is LeBron. -
What are your legitimate expectations for the post season?
Real Deal replied to Lkr's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
I'm crossing my fingers that Dallas somehow beats the Thunder, that Utah wins a couple against the Spurs and makes them fight a bit...then, the Grizzlies take out the Clips and go in and knock out SA. If we're going to win it all, we need to rely on the pieces falling into place. We can't beat the Spurs AND the Thunder...I think that will take too much out of us, especially if Denver is our first round opponent (they will want to run). Hard to say, really. I wish I knew how Kobe really was, health-wise. -

Knicks have the best chance of beating the Heat, out of any team not named Chicago and maybe Boston, so this is my dream match-up in the East. I really want Carmelo to go ballistic, and force LeBron to use up his energy defending him, Chandler keeping James out of the paint.

Dude...I just took your post (above) and wrapped it in CODE tags, so you can actually see what you're posting and why it's messing up. You have had many other posts this way as well, one I edited in Gameday a couple of nights ago. What are you posting from? If it's your phone, what's the particular app?

You know what to do. Who do you think will win these, not who you believe should. Copy/paste what's in the code box below, and post your predictions to the right of each bold tag.
