  1. Fisher can't be a Laker until July. You can at least mark Boston off the list. Even if they didn't have a PG, and they were offering Fisher the MLE, he wouldn't accept. The idea for most teams would be to bring him in for leadership and helping their younger guard develop. A team like Cleveland could use him. Irving is a baller, but regardless, a player like him needs a guy like Fish, to prevent what COULD happen down the road (Irving reading into his numbers too much and becoming selfish). I know people are saying Miami, but what for? Chalmers and Cole are going to eat up every minute at the position...and Cole probably feels he's not getting enough burn already. Fisher would be tagging along, barely playing, and basically giving up as a leader (not a guy in the Miami trio would care what Fisher has to say). I wouldn't be surprised to see him try and stay in the area, though. I'm just not sure where. While he's an intelligent player and can offer to mentor the younger guys...well, he's also a liability most of the time he's in the game, aside from the last minute. One of the main reasons LA needed Fisher's game-winners was actually because of Fisher's play through the first 3 1/2 quarters.
  2. The Kobe vs. LeBron garbage is getting annoying. Stop ruining topics with it. Not every LeBron comment deserves one about Kobe, and in the same light, if someone trashes Kobe, stop going after LeBron. Refrain from putting both in your post if the comparison itself is not relevant to the topic, or if you have a history of doing so, just don't post.
  3. I was forced to root against Tim Tebow last year, because of the Broncos...and now I'm going to be forced to root against Peyton Manning. Ugh. It would be Denver, though. If they can put together a solid offense led by Manning, and their defense holds up (less time on the field, too, so you're talking about a defense that basically carried them throughout the season), the Broncos could be a pretty damn good team if Manning is healthy.
  4. FSU was the team that needed to take them out, since Syracuse doesn't have their defensive anchor. Yancy will have to separate Sullinger's shoulder. Hope I'm wrong.
  5. WHOA...what the hell was he thinking? Both times...
  6. Time for Barnes to play up to everyone's expectations. Future all-star play. I just don't see how UNC will hang around without their playmaker, though. Marshall has been amazing all season long.
  7. Whoa...slight travel by Cincy, but it wasn't called.
  8. LOL, what is that? Yeah, Kobe sucked bad. Ron Artest bad.
  9. I can't stand him. I didn't want to repeat what I was saying earlier about Yancy, in one of the other topics.
  10. This is awesome. I'd much rather have Cincinnati win this game, so big Yancy can bang with Sully down low, and hopefully rough him up a bit and take him out of the tourney.
  11. Like I said on Facebook... The triangle and two should have been put into place long before the first half ended. I'm not saying it was a bad idea to start with man-to-man, but once you find yourself in a hole because of a streaky team drilling threes (and basically being dominated by one shooter, who pulls your bigs away from the rim), you have to make the change. Also, I'm not sure if I agree with Kerr, wanting to go back into Robinson so much, because he really wasn't making the right decisions once he got the ball, and that's what separates the future superstars from your lottery picks. With that said, the defense in the second half was executed much better, and because of the change, Hummel was playing under tired legs, and KU crawled out on top. Nearly VCU all over again, though. Yeah, I was scared at one point. Before the game, I told my girl it was going to be ugly, and that Purdue is a nasty team if they start launching...and sure the hell enough, they were dropping bombs in that first half.
  12. Well, for one, he's in Cleveland, and he had his starting role taking from him by Irving. As a starter last season, Sessions did very well...efficient and controlled, passed the ball, scored 13+ a night. The Lakers have been able to win with Fisher in recent years because of the triangle offense. Simply put, the triangle asked him to be a spot-up shooter, nothing more. Us winning games really had little to do with him this year, and more to do with Kobe needing to step up his scoring, while Drew and Gasol had to facilitate out of the post more. To take pressure off of our big three, we needed a true point guard, a guy that is a willing passer, one that can get into the paint and kick the ball back out to shooters and take the ball out of Kobe's hands from time to time. Sessions is far more athletic than Fisher, which helps fill that need...but he also knows how to operate in that role. Almost as important is Sessions being able to play defense against the quicker point guards...or ANY PG in general. When Jose Calderon hits his career high in points THIS SEASON, you know it's time to make changes.
  13. KSU can most definitely knock off Syracuse, now that Fab is out...but I have a hard time believing they can beat up on Vandy or Wisconsin. If they get God on their side and advance, there's still no chance they can handle Ohio State...it would take FSU to give OSU the boot, first, so everything has to fall into place perfectly for the Wildcats. Now, the biased side of me will say that K-State gets stomped tomorrow, by 20...because that's what I want.
  14. Only 28 boards for Boston, almost ranked dead last in the league in rebounds. Can't score, can't board...and in this game, they let Kobe Thornton go off for 36.
  15. Looks like Johnson toasted Washington. Is Seraphin the only player on the Wizards who knows how to defend?
  16. Can't win a game when your starting backcourt goes a combined 3-24 FG, and the big man that gave you 31 not too long ago shoots 0-6, all while your best shooter nets only 3-12. Didn't see the game, but it's safe to assume the Nets desperately needed Deron to create shots in this one, because I can only guess that almost all of those shots above were contested.
  17. Why do I feel like the Knicks are going to just rinse and repeat what happened when Jeremy Lin came to play? Nice little winning streak, then boom...2-8.
  18. You keep saying it, as if we were talking about your cousin or something. Once again, it was about taking the game-winning shot. Multiple people have said it. Next time he misses two big threes to end the game (like he did against Chicago the other night), make sure you post, "LeBron...can...close?"
  19. Nah, I knew it wouldn't...just giving you the link to the article, so you can get the explanation. Pretty funny clip.
  20. I would have went with the Kaman trade, for more reasons than just losing Monta. Nobody knows if Bogut will ever be healthy, and I just realized that Bogut's contract is actually larger than Ellis' deal, same in years but larger in pay (and that's assuming Ellis takes his PO). I know the Warriors want Klay to start, but do that trade and then deal Monta Ellis in the summer, for something better. Strictly lineups, I like the first one. It's easy for me.
  21. What the hell? That sucks. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nba-ball-dont-lie/video-gerald-wallace-trade-makes-7-old-girl-134559327.html So many hits...probably scared the parents or something. Bummer.
