Howard Picks up 2012/13 Option, Staying with Magic
Real Deal replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Orlando Magic Team Forum
At this point, he might as well just have his own press conference tomorrow, let us all know on live television, and just get it over with. -
Lakers and Magic hoping Howard has change of stance
Real Deal replied to magicbalala245's topic in General NBA Discussion
Just do what you can to get Sessions and Beasley, and keep our two big men and go from there. If we can pick up Howard for just Bynum (even if it means we take Hedo's contract), it's whatever...but at this point, I'm sick of us bouncing around and delaying, and really, I like having two seven-footers. -
Howard Picks up 2012/13 Option, Staying with Magic

Now they are saying that Howard never told anyone he was considering "opting in" and only said he was "all-in" for this season. LOL. -
You now own the Knicks. What do you do?

Howard Picks up 2012/13 Option, Staying with Magic
Real Deal replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Orlando Magic Team Forum
If Howard opts-in, I'd still trade him...but let's just say he doesn't. Orlando should just pick up the phones and deal him to any team offering the best deal, simple as that. Like Golden State, there will be a few teams that would be willing to take him on, regardless of his decision to become a free agent over the summer. -

Good for Orlando. -
I don't like Melo, at all...but he's the third-best player at his position. LeBron and Durant are the only two you can provide arguments for (and by arguments, I really mean definitive #1 and #2). Pierce is nowhere near the player he used to be, and Deng/Iguodala can't carry teams on their backs.

So much for Linsanity. You can call that experiment off without D'Antoni running the offense through the PG.

Howard Picks up 2012/13 Option, Staying with Magic
Real Deal replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Orlando Magic Team Forum
He wants Orlando to be the bad guy in this situation. After his comments from the other night, we all know Dwight is long gone, so having Orlando deal him AFTER he says something like this...well, it makes sense for Howard. -
Many have been talking about it in the Bucks forum...but as far as the Warriors goes, I'm not really sure what the point was, unless they are going to put all of their chips on the table for the NBA Draft. I don't see any value in Andrew Bogut, and Stephen Jackson isn't really a relevant piece in this trade. Bogut is making $39.5 million over these last three years of his deal (including this season), and S-Jax will be around $19-20 million for this year and the next...so neither are expiring contracts (like Kwame) or good scorers getting paid decent money (like Ellis, who is getting less than Bogut over three seasons).
-
See, I'm not so sure how the Jennings/Ellis backcourt will do together...but that makes much, much more sense than the Warriors dealing Monta. I heard rumblings all of last year that they would take Curry over Ellis, if they were trading one, and that Ellis really didn't fit into their plans...but damn, regardless of that, Ellis is still more valuable than this. At full health, Bogut is a nice defensive big that can give you 15-20 a night, if he's being fed the ball (won't go over 20, I don't think he has given Milwaukee more than 15). But, he's just not healthy...and some of his excuses for missing games, I just don't know what to think about him.
-
I can tell you right now that the Lakers will only seek Jennings, and I have yet to hear anything about that...which could be a good thing if you really want him gone, because a lot of LA trades have come out of nowhere (Gasol being the biggest one, since all talk was around KG or Jermaine O'Neal).
-
Haha...I can't believe the Kings actually lost this game. I was shocked to see it close in the 70s earlier...and to see the Warriors pull away and win comfortably is just hilarious.
-
Nobody, not even LeBron, could stop Jameer Nelson tonight. Don't worry...that's rare for Jameer. I noticed LBJ was jawing Battier near the end of the game, I guess for not drifting away and to the three, spotting up for a shot...but after seeing LeBron miss two in a row to win the game (or tie), I can see why he was wanting to pass it again. Battier wasn't going to grab a board over D12, though, and he wasn't going to post up on anyone, so he should know his role.
-
Pachulia missed everything aside from the backboard. That's sad. I really felt the Hawks were going to take this game once they went into OT and took the lead. Denver looked a little tired, and Joe Johnson was hitting everything by posting up and fading back with easy jumpers. Gallo's three was nice, although I doubt he was even looking at the rim on that one, lol.
-
Dragic and Westbrook...smh. Both players are so annoying. I can't believe Ibaka tried going up soft with that final desperation attempt. He really could have dunked the ball, had the time to get it done, and he's got the hops.

Write down the code you see when you get the BSOD, and post it in here. You're running Vista, huh?

Brandon Jennings will not be traded

Of course, because he's the perfect PG to build around. :wallbash3: -
Bucks, Magic and Warriors discussing three team deal
Real Deal replied to Dash's topic in General NBA Discussion
Who knows...but I doubt the Bucks are that high on him now. He seems like he's going to play injured for the rest of his career, and he's signed for another 2-3 seasons at $13-14 million a year (may be wrong on those numbers, something around that). I heard somewhere that the Lakers were wanting Curry, but Golden State is dead set on sticking with him. -
...and now they say he is fine. I'm surprised...figured he was really, really hurt. Newsflash: he did not come back out in a wheelchair.
-
Oh damn...Ray Allen down, looked bad (non-contact). Never good to see it happen like that.
