You now own the Knicks. What do you do?
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in New York Knicks Team Forum
Sorry, fellas...you can choose multiple options now. -
It was from an image, nothing intentional. You should be able to go in there now.
-
They are now 2-8 after Melo's return, and keep in mind that JR Smith has been a part of that losing streak. Go.
-
YES, YES, YES to Marshall. I pray he drops to us, but I'm not going to get too excited yet. EDIT: Moved it back to the mock draft forum, Sean...haha. I changed my mind, went ahead and placed the draft forum on the main index page early.

I'll join in, although I do feel bad for the situation as a whole. http://oi43.tinypic.com/15gs480.jpg http://t.qkme.me/36htbv.jpg http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc7/426428_10150729242432806_370428582805_11450256_1932470280_n.jpg

Blazers interested in Raymond Felton - Steve Blake swap
Real Deal replied to Dash's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Maybe a good thing if this was the Felton from a few years ago, but good God, he is playing bad right now. I'm not sure if it's him hating Portland, or him not taking care of himself and being out of shape, but it's definitely not the same player he was a little after he was drafted. -
Clippers in discussions for Jamal Crawford
Real Deal replied to Dash's topic in Los Angeles Clippers Team Forum
I would rather them get Crawford than Ray Allen. I think Ray Ray would make them a nasty team, very tough to beat. -
Well, I've read that Otis won't be trading Dwight, either.

Clippers in discussions for Jamal Crawford
Real Deal replied to Dash's topic in Los Angeles Clippers Team Forum
Probably going to happen. The Blazers are really, really interested in Bledsoe, and they are dying to find a starting PG. -
Sorry to hear that. I would trade Wade for Howard without thinking twice. Bosh is almost 28 years old, and he'll be signed until 2016, making up to $22 million. On a contender, he's not a primary scoring option...doesn't matter what you say about him. He's in the same boat as a Danny Granger, who is a second option at best. Additionally, the Magic are locked in with Ryan Anderson and Glen Davis at the four. Bosh is not a center, and the Magic will not want Joel Anthony. Orlando wants picks, youth and players to build around. Bosh is not the best option.
-
Then Howard will not go to Miami. But you're telling me that you would rather have the team you have now, than to have LeBron and Bosh paired up with Dwight? If it's a loyalty thing...well, would Howard win rings with Wade and Bosh? You guys saw how important defensive anchors were when you played Dallas.
-
Sure, but there aren't enough articles for that. The home page needs to be for current news articles...meaning, everything from signings and trades, to power rankings and MVP watches. To me, there's no point in a home page if we don't have that. There are a lot of sites I won't bother naming who have failed trying that same thing. I would rather you guys write lengthy articles about whatever comes to mind, rather than spend all of your time writing about things like Darius Morris being sent to the D-Fenders, Andre Miller losing his starting job in Portland, etc.
-
Orlando doesn't want to be the old Raptors, just to watch Bosh leave again. Why would they trade Howard for Bosh? If Howard is going to Miami, it will be for LeBron or Wade.
-
The writers were going to be asked to provide content to the homepage, but if you haven't noticed, I've already cut about six of them since putting the team up, and added 2-3 others. The current guys are not at fault, and really, I understand that people are busy. If I really wanted to, I could just write every day...but that has been something I've wanted to avoid doing for years. I never, ever thought it was a good look for me to have the most posts on OTR, to run all of the games, to write all of the articles, etc. I'm almost to the point where I'm going to just drop Word Press altogether, and create a bridge from the home page to the forums WITHOUT the blog. Basically, use a CMS that I can somehow integrate with the forums (don't know of a great one yet). I don't know, at this point.

I get too frustrated when watching KU, more than I do the Lakers. I have wanted to literally strangle Ty Taylor hundreds of times this season, even though he stepped his game up a bit later. I won't tell you what happened right before the KU/Baylor game ended...but you can imagine. Yes, my family is okay.

Mortgages To Be Slashed An Average Of 100k+
Real Deal replied to EastCoastNiner's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
I never said there weren't "stupid people" in the mix, but as Lkr has said, the banks took advantage of that...hook, line and sinker. When someone is desperate for a loan, they are going to do what it takes to get one. This situation may have included people who knew what they were getting into, but a great deal of them were being lied to, and taken advantage of...and that's excluding those like my parents. I guess you'd be surprised at how many people are overwhelmed by an intelligent person talking anything relating to your general bank loans, mortgages, amortizations, compound interest, etc. When those sitting across the desk of that person are in dire need of a loan or a home, it's something that has to be done, and when the opportunity presented itself, the banks dumped it all on them and figured it would work to perfection, raking up tons of foreclosures and watching people lose their homes and lives without batting an eye. -

Mortgages To Be Slashed An Average Of 100k+

Things happen, dude. My mom lost her job around the same time my dad broke his neck and had to have surgery. I won't need to tell you how much they were making, and how much they did make after those two events, within those few months. Where they live, my mom struggled to get any kind of a job, and suddenly, my parents were making back payments on a house that decreased significantly in value, and it was up to me to catch them up and help out for a while. My girlfriend's parents can't stick their house on the market because of the decrease in value + all of the repairs to bring it up to code. Plan was to sell once all three kids moved out and they were helping pay for college...but now, everything has changed, and now, they are "living at or above their means" and basically, paycheck-to-paycheck. Some people are selling in my area to get away from the property taxes that are costing them $2400 a year for an average house (which is expensive as hell here). Some people don't understand what struggle means. They don't run into unfortunate events. Therefore, they are complete fools about how life works. They have never been denied a major neck/back surgery and sent to 50 sessions of physical therapy to "repair" five ruptured discs, asked to take Chantix to quit smoking, and see a psychologist for three expensive sessions to see if they will be ready for surgery in two years...despite paying in GREATLY and earning that health insurance. I really do get sick of people thinking everything is a walk in the park. I'm glad some of you can soar through life for 80 years, being spoon-fed by your parents or grandparents, then handed a job you don't deserve, making much more than you really earn, and being lucky to breeze through without having a major illness. However, I'm not glad that some of you are too ignorant to realize that not everyone lives in your fantasy land. -

Wow. If you have no idea what you're talking about, read: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subprime_mortgage_crisis -
Scared of the final shot. He doesn't want to be the guy that fails his team. When did I say he was struggling any other time? He's obviously not.
