You're absolutely right, because very few superstars pass up those game-winning moments over and over and over again...but you're failing to understand that. LeBron is afraid of failure. It's really the one glaring weakness in his game this year, as he has finally developed a post game and is probably the closest to being a complete player as he has ever been...but as everyone is saying (aside from people in Miami, which is obvious...just like it was with Cleveland fans), there's something missing.

Kobe suffers broken nose, mild concussion
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Haha...Heat fans vs. everyone else that knows that the foul was intentional (including Wade himself). Going back, I don't see anyone saying that Wade meant to break Kobe's nose. I read three pages of people saying that Wade's foul on Kobe was intentional and a hard foul, which is ridiculous. And the comment about it being "just a bloody nose" or what-not...lol. It's a broken nose, and a concussion. More specifically, it's a nasal fracture and a concussion. Blake Griffin had a nosebleed the other night. He didn't break his nose, and he wasn't diagnosed with something (a concussion) that is sometimes career-threatening. Sounds like a couple of you have no idea what it's like to have a broken nose. Take some duct tape, stick it to your nose, and wrap it around your head 4-5 times, really tight. Make sure you can barely breathe out of it, and that it pushes your nose completely through your face. That's what it feels like for a minor broken nose (like I had). When you jump up and down, it feels like your nose weighs about 50 pounds. Obviously not a big deal, though. -
? When didn't the All-Star game matter? I wanted Kobe to be competitive, and the West to win in a blowout, from the start. If it "suddenly" mattered to anyone in the blink of an eye, it was LeBron...who was ready to dance and celebrate a victory, until he threw the ball away, declined to take advantage of three game-winning opportunities, and lost the game. Not really sure what you're getting at with that statement, unless you're bashing LeBron for how he reacted in his post-game interview with Sager.

Lamar Odom Considering Retiring?

He'll realize he made a mistake asking for a trade, and more than likely, he will try and come back to the Lakers. -

Derrick Rose is a serious dude
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in NBA and College Basketball Media
We all know that if LeBron was not a part of any of this (if he wasn't acting like a child, like he did back in the summer of 2010), you wouldn't be in here telling everyone that Rose looks like he has a stick up his ass, that he had his ass kicked in the playoffs last year (by anyone), or that he should just enjoy the weekend and stop acting like he's serious about the game of basketball. But I digress. Doesn't matter anymore. LeBron sure the hell wasn't dancing around at the very end of the game. Instead, he walked away from the players at mid-court, sat down to untie his shoes, and gave a weird interview to Sager, as if he lost the Finals again. I guess he should have been having fun. -

Wade said the hard foul was on purpose...so, that means it's intentional. Did he do it to break his nose? No, nobody thinks that (at least I hope not), but going after his head/face was what he did, and admitted to doing, on purpose. How do you translate that? Was Wade lying? -
Trash talk, or constructive criticism, for LeBron James?
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
It's starting to get a little awkward seeing all of these basketball analysts and former players go at LeBron for many different things. Even fans are doing it more than they used to, but when journalists, analysts and players get in on it, you have to think that something is wrong. Not that I have a problem with it, since I think it's hilarious (because I can't stand him)...but stepping outside of that box, it's sad to see it happen. Found this kind of funny, relating to the final shot: http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/s320x320/424487_393855850641098_100000500589161_1596315_914177267_n.jpg -

Kobe suffers broken nose, mild concussion
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
So he meant to go after the ball? Isn't there a quote from Wade where he stated he meant to foul him hard? That's kind of weird...I'll have to go find that quote. It was an intentional foul, and it was at his head/face. That means it's an intentional flagrant. I didn't see him give Kobe a slight push, or try to grab his arm and prevent the shot from going up...I saw a hand come down and break Kobe's nose, not going after the ball. Very painful to know Wade can be a dirty player, I know...but you're just going to have to deal with that moving forward. -
Derrick Rose is a serious dude
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in NBA and College Basketball Media
I don't know. You tell me. Saying he's got some sort of an issue, being socially awkward or however you put it...that's disrespecting a man that wants to win basketball games. Lakers fans love Durant and Rose, for the most part. I'm pretty sure I would know this, as I'm running a message board full of them. It has a lot to do with the two players having a killer instinct and being a serious basketball player. This glimpse of Rose, among the other four, was really one of my favorite parts of All-Star Weekend. -
http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/topic/28090-kobe-suffers-broken-nose-mild-concussion http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/topic/27182-2012-nba-all-star-game This is basically all about the incident, so it's best to keep all of it in one topic (or in the All-Star game topic). A topic like this, in the Heat forum, would lead to a lock and warnings/suspensions anyway.

I don't mind the props, as long as they are used correctly. Signing your shoes and laying them on the table, and then dunking without them on...whoa, big deal, right??? But, Dwight bringing out a second rim and raising it to 11 feet, or McGee's dunk on two rims, or Dwight's sticker placement REALLY high on the backboard...that's pretty cool.

Kobe suffers broken nose, mild concussion
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
LOL, yes...it was pretty obvious that everyone else would've fouled Kobe just like that, the way they were playing the entire game. Care to give me one more foul that was even close to that? Fourth quarter, down one, Kobe going at the rim closing seconds, that's different. Third quarter, All-Star Game, after EVERYONE was getting free dunks...and Wade doesn't go after the ball? Wade is one of the best shot-blocking two-guards in NBA history...and he didn't even come close to blocking that shot, despite having more athleticism at this point of Kobe's career, and not trailing him by that much. Didn't try to grab him, didn't try to block the shot...it was pretty obvious he was butt hurt that Kobe spun off him and beat him to the rim after eating him alive in the first half. Again, he didn't intend to break his nose, but the foul was meant to be flagrant. It's too bad he reverted back to the guy that fouled Rondo the way he did last year. -

Why are you still in here, then? You told us you were leaving. Really pisses you off, huh? That Wade was a complete fool to break someone's nose in an all-star game...SMH. I noticed you've been hot-blooded about everything Wade and LeBron this morning...in the ASG topic, in this one, most hated topic, in the Derrick Rose topic (four topics!)...you're on a roll. -

Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in NBA and College Basketball Media
Why would anyone have a problem with it? Rose is a beast. I'm glad he's tapping into his inner Kobe, instead of acting like a 13-year old. -
Ah, thanks. That would make him #2 on my list, then.

When LeBron passed on the attempted game-winner in the ASG last night (the one where he passed to Blake Griffin by accident), Kobe was in his face, asking him why he didn't take the shot and telling him that he should have. Carmelo was in the mix, with an "ouch" look on his face, almost smiling at it...at the fact that Kobe (who was on the opposing team and defending LeBron) was actually telling him to take that shot. (happens at 17 seconds) So was Kobe trash-talking, or was he giving out constructive criticism to James? Skip Bayless seems to think Kobe was trash-talking. "All Kobe cares about is winning basketball games, even exhibition games." - Skip Stephen A. Smith thinks otherwise, citing how Kobe stated that Carmelo shouldn't change his game just because of an emerging Jeremy Lin, and that he cares to see others trying to step up in moments that may or may not involve him.

CP3, only because of his defense. I won't dive into their offensive games, because they are two different players. CP3's passing makes up for what he doesn't match up to in scoring numbers and drawing defensive attention (although he's still a very solid scoring threat on the court), but defensively, CP3 is up there with Rondo and _erek Fisher.

Wade and the Heat. I don't like LeBron, at all, but at least he's being who he always has been. Wade has turned into LeBron over the last two seasons. Pierce and the Celtics come in second (well, Pierce is third), for me at least. I don't think Pierce is that hated, among the entire NBA fanbase.

You'll gain muscle before you gain fat, as long as you're working out, because your metabolism is really high. You're in the same boat as I am. I eat more than anyone in my family combined, and I don't gain a pound...just have to go to the gym and gain all of my weight in muscle, and a huge part of that gain is more about the water I drink, which helps bulk muscle significantly (since your muscles need water) and the amount of milk I'm downing as well. I eat a lot of carbs and protein, but not too much...because if I did, my blood sugars would be out of reach, and I'd be all but dead (probably blind again), but that's venturing into a different subject. -

By the way, they do say that if you're doing heavy strength training (meaning, you're an athlete), you should take your body weight (in kg's) and multiply it by 1.8 to get your amount of protein. So if you're 180, which is around 81-82 kg, you should be taking in 150g of protein and a lot of water. -

That's quite a bit. Protein doesn't exactly have THAT big of an impact on your muscle mass, either. I've had three different professional nutritionists telling me all of this stuff over the years (relating to my diabetes AND working out). They say you should take your weight and multiply it by 0.37 to find out how much you need. It's going to be under 100 for you, but assuming you're drinking more water and eating much more calories, I'd say 150 is probably where you want to be (or under it).
