Impressive, but how often does that opportunity present itself for any team every year? Aside from the lockout year (meaning this season), I really can't remember teams going back-to-back-to-back on the road. Not even the Lakers have that during their huge road trip (during the Grammys). http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/LAL/2011_games.html I dipped into the 1998-99 season, and just selected the Heat, and noticed they didn't do it there, either.

Lakers Supporting Cast: Just How Bad Are They?
Real Deal replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Had to make one: http://i41.tinypic.com/27zww4.jpg -
Yes, he had a lot of free time.

They didn't have a problem last season, nearly getting to the WCF without Gay.

Floyd is jealous that Lin is taking over New York, while he is fighting in an era of boxing that benefits him greatly.

Vanessa Bryant...still digging?
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Given that she waited so many years after he cheated on her, just to get half of everything (divorcing him at ten years, three months, after surpassing the ten-year threshold), yes...she's a gold-digger, doesn't matter if Kobe is the model husband or not. If she wasn't a gold-digger, she would have divorced him in 2003. Nice job, though, stating the obvious. I'm sure very few NBA players are model husbands. -
This is just hilarious, for some reason... https://twitter.com/#!/KevinDing/status/169665392762036224 So, after taking all three mansions, half of his career earnings and half for the rest of his life (or until she finds someone else to marry and burn), she's outside of the Lakers' locker room after the game tonight? WTF. Is she trying to hook up with Luke Walton, or...?

Shannon Brown Unhappy With Role In Phoenix
Real Deal replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Phoenix Suns Team Forum
The Clippers...lol. Remember, there's a second team in LA, and they are using our arena. -
I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't take it so well. I have a mentally-challenged cousin who is able-bodied, could probably live on her own (not really sure of that yet), has been a babysitter for her neighbors and has gone to a few normal classes back in high school...but when her boyfriend moved a few states away from her, she flipped out and went into depression mode for a long, long time, even though he was still calling her on the phone.

Yeah, I was talking to my friend about this the other day. The thing with Jeremy Lin is, when he does run into a defensive juggernaut, it's going to be interesting to see how he adjusts because, quite frankly, the kid has a very high IQ (ignore the stuff about Harvard, he's very smart on the court as well). What we've learned over the years is that the high IQ players learn how to adjust their games as much as defensive teams adjust to opposing offensive threats, and that's why you see guys like Kobe and Duncan winning championships, even when a team is centered around stopping them. I just really hope Carmelo doesn't step in and ruin this outburst. I know he's an all-star player, but if Jeremy Lin can sustain this play against the best defensive teams in the NBA, he could prove to be more valuable to this team (in fact, he will be more valuable) than Carmelo, who is more of a ball-stopper, which we all know by now. Right now, in New York, Carmelo is the guy that pulls his team out of the huge deficits, and gives them a chance to make a comeback. Jeremy Lin is the guy that uses everyone on the court to avoid those deficits, and to win those games. Of course, that's also a point guard's duty...but when there's a dominant scorer that really can't facilitate an offense, mixed with a very good scoring PF that needs the ball and guys that need to be spoon-fed the ball...you're missing that key ingredient, and for the Knicks, it's Lin. If Melo lets him play his game and realizes just how important a facilitating PG is to this offense, New York can most definitely contend.

WHAT is Lebron & Wade telling Wall?
Real Deal replied to Need4Sheed's topic in NBA and College Basketball Media
"Hey, point guard guy...my brother Wade and I are going to ask Udonis if he would go to that team you play for, in exchange for you. Whoa, hey, this is Mario. I think he or Udonis would gladly do it to help us win a championship. And if you could, please, ask that slam dunk champion guy if he wants to be on our team too, when you play him on Wednesday. Look up and over to your left...there aren't many fans here supporting you at the end of the game. We're so close to having five all-stars on this team, and that means four of you can take over the 4th quarter for us." You can actually hear LeBron if you turn your speakers all the way up. -
Tough. Ray Clay (Bulls) was awesome, though, when he would introduce MJ and the team. Yikes. Let's see...Mason is up there, just because he sounds pretty cool (DEEEEETROIT BAAAASKETBAAAAAALLLL). Also, Eddie Palladino is pretty good...hard to admit that, since he's a Celtic. Not really a fan of Lawrence Tanter. I know he's a legend, but when he's introducing our guys, I feel like he's still introducing Magic and Kareem in 1982. It's definitely unique, but I want to get a little more excited if I'm in the crowd.

Hornets' Gordon to have surgery, out another six week
Real Deal replied to Art's topic in New Orleans Pelicans Team Forum
Well, at least the Hornets will get one good pick out of the trade (their own)...possibly lose Gordon over the summer, lose Kaman, and have Minnesota's pick which could land them...I don't know...John Henson? -
Welcome to the best.

LeBron should have embraced the hate, jumped over and gave him a Ron Artest.
-
Blah...sorry about that. I'll have to go through the huge list and pick out which ones were left aside.

Lakers Supporting Cast: Just How Bad Are They?
Real Deal replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Our bench was held to four total points once this season. Hard to say I've seen that before, at least not by a team that plays more than eight in their rotation. -
I really can't believe the Bulls are still in this game. Pierce, Allen and KG need to step their games up.
-
Five point game, Celtics shooting 55%, Bulls at 34%. Boston keeps fouling, turning the ball over, and getting worked on the glass.
-
CJ Watson decided to test out Rajon's defense in that first quarter, haha. Big failure.
-
Oh yeah, I mean, I've seen teams get away with it before. Even the Lakers. You have to start wondering if the referee wasn't paid $10 or so, by Sgt. Rasual Butler, to call that violation.
