  1. I actually gave LeBron props, and you're still throwing your rocks. If you're still mad about LeBron losing in the NBA Finals, I didn't blame him...I blamed the Mavericks kicking his ass.
  2. I agree. LOL shit dude, you know that's not true. 2004? 2008? Maybe you're talking about Lakers fans blaming the rest of the team, but non-Lakers fans have blamed Kobe for everything, every year...even when he wins, they find something to talk smack about.
  3. Boozer isn't really a part of the Bulls' core, in my opinion...just getting his, and all due to what everyone else is doing around him. He doesn't have to defend well, doesn't have to create for anyone, etc. I wish Chicago would trade him. They'd be better off starting Gibson, and having a productive scorer (one that can create his own shot) somewhere else...maybe even replacing Boozer at the four.
  4. I would rather let Troy Murphy run the point for the Lakers. Probably Stephon Marbury, for the extra off-the-court lolz.
  5. Whoever says Pistol Pete Maravich is banned for life. EDIT: With the exception of iMan.
  6. I never had faith in a Grizzlies team with Rudy Gay. He's really the reason why.
  7. Looks like Biedrins will get more time on the floor. YEAH BUDDY! Golden State really does need something up front, defensively. Kwame is actually a good post defender.
  8. Ouch. Huge blow to the Hawks. If you consider the shortened season, that's leading into the playoffs.
  9. Will that game haunt you for life? I still wish I would've seen it live. I had to put it on a damn internet radio to hear it. Felt like I was listening to Wilt's 100-point game audio.
  10. Timmy D is one of the smartest players I've ever watched in the NBA. I wouldn't say he's a better scorer than Larry Bird, despite the achievement (two different things, reaching a milestone doesn't necessarily mean you're better at something, too many factors to consider), but he deserves all the recognition he will ever get for his play.
  11. Well, the Spurs won four championships, so most of us really don't like you guys. Honestly, that's the case with the Lakers. If our game topics were more active, I'm guessing it wouldn't matter the teams. My thing is, the new TV I bought is in my living room, and my laptop is destroyed, so I'm usually away from the computer when I'm watching ball. I use my phone from time to time, but it's a hassle posting from it.
  12. Did we all forget about him? Did all of the GM's forget? I was thinking about this the other day. A few Lakers fans want Arenas, and I just don't see why. I have this gut feeling he's done as a starter, done as a sixth man, and at this point of his career, he's a chucking bench player who can't defend anyone on the court. Yeah, I saw what he did every now and then at the beginning of last season...doesn't matter to me. I saw him hurt Washington more than help. Orlando? He was horrible. His 2009-10 season (where he tried to return) was 20+ points a night for about 30 games or so, but he shot the ball poorly and looked bad trying to create shots on his own. Right now, what teams should give Arenas a shot, if any at all? Keep in mind...he's a free agent, so he can be had for cheap now.
  13. While I think Miami will return to the Finals, I can't count Chicago out. I'd also hate to be the team that has to play Philly in the first or second round. I have a gut feeling that, by the time the playoffs roll around, the Sixers could take a team like Miami or Chicago to at least six games. My West teams are the Thunder, Lakers, and Blazers. I'm not so sure how healthy Manu will be by the time the playoffs roll around (even though he's due back well before them), and the same is said for TJ Ford...just always up in the air for me when it comes to them. The Clippers are a good team, not really that surprising, but I just don't like their style of play, and while they can beat a team like the Heat in a regular season game, I'm not so sure how well they would do against a contender when it's a seven-game series.
  14. ...and why the great Mike can't touch the greatest Wilt? All three had different career paths. Jordan's best came when he was without a prime Pippen and a legit second option, which is why he had to wait to win his championships. Kobe's best (the start of it, and 4-5 years of it) came when he had a seven-foot center, one of the most dominant ever, in the paint and needing the same amount of shots. Same with LeBron and Wade, who will see less 40-point games...and Durant, who has a chucking PG to play with. Wilt was being defended by 6-7 and 6-8 PF's. The differences are significant.
  15. Credit goes to Jordan-esque at TLN. Statistics: -- Kobe has scored 40+ points in 109 regular season games & 11 playoff games for a combined 120 games. -- When Kobe scores 40+ points he is currently making them at a combined 0.515 FG%. Regular Season: -- When Kobe scores 40+ Lakers in those games have a 76-33 winning regular season record good for a 70% win rate. -- An 82-game season would equate that as a 57-25 regular season record. -- Kobe has made 1688/3297 shots good for a .512 FG% for the season. Playoffs: -- When Kobe scores 40+ Lakers in those games have an 11-1 winning playoff record good for 92% win rate in the playoffs. -- Kobe has made 172/315 shots good for a .546 FG% in the Playoffs. http://lakernation.com/forums/index.php?/topic/53107-list-full-stats-when-kobe-scores-40-and-lakers-win/
  16. I'm sure Bryant would have been sitting on around 150 or so if Shaq had been in the picture a bit later in his career, but that probably sacrifices a ring or two (depending on when Shaq comes in). Trade O'Neal for Duncan, maybe that changes everything, as Tim didn't need the ball as much. Kobe would've struggled to win championships as much as Jordan did in the 80's, 100% sure of that. Wilt's record is ridiculous. I think LeBron is up to around 43, but don't quote me on that. I'm pretty sure they said that on ESPN when he went ballistic on Atlanta last season.
  17. See if this problem still exists tonight, while many (hopefully many, haha) are active in the new gameday forum. I'm really not sure what it is...and it's hard to say. I'm suspecting it has something to do with the topics being created through the database, manually, rather than using the board.

  19. He had one last season, in February, against the Orlando Magic. Will he have another 50-point game this season? If so, against which team?
  20. The Lakers could definitely use him, even if he is a bad defender. Look what we have done with Fisher at the point. Having Nash in this new offense would be fantastic. Plus, he'd drill shots. ---------- Will the Suns trade him, though? Not to the Lakers, haha. I wouldn't be shocked if they sent him out East, though. I'm just not sure what the Knicks could offer that would be better than what Miami could (would they give up Norris Cole?) or even a non-contending West team (would Golden State be interested?), so it's hard to say. I would think the Suns want picks and young players, though. They really don't need anymore cap space. They'd get that extra space by trading Nash for the young contracts, and then hitting Childress with the amnesty.
  21. Computer technician, which is a headache of a job.
  22. Do you know any other Spurs fans? Even guys from other message boards that want a new spot to post?
  23. 48 on Grant Hill, who held Gerald Wallace to one point the other night, and then 40 on Raja Bell and Josh Howard, who are respectable defenders. But okay...don't really see why you bring that up.
