  1. All NBA games created in Gameday. It's 6 AM...time to sleep!

  2. This is awesome. If posts were money, this sentence alone would be most valuable...wonder how many of our posters actually got to see Piatkowski play. The dude was money from downtown. I've never seen a Piatkowski fan on a message board before, haha.
  3. Not sure if I want him to play or not. If he sits and heals, we probably won't make the playoffs. If he plays, he may be no good for us in the playoffs. I don't think the Lakers have the goods to win games without him. Probably for a few, but not an extended amount of time, when guys like Ebanks are asked to play much, much larger roles (and we all know Gasol won't be doing that).
  4. I watched the entire game...it was on NBATV. You talk about him being the perfect compliment, but you're not understanding that Norris Cole wants the ball in his hands. He's a scoring point guard. The Heat are playing a little different than what they will during the season. Cole will be in the same boat as Chalmers, Bibby, Miller, Jones, and the rest of the crew. They will turn him into a spot-up shooter. If you think he's a consistent shooter...I'm sorry, he's not. You should've seen that from the first game. Did you watch him in college? He took a lot of bad shots, and he missed a lot of open shots. Miami let him work with the ball in that first game, and he facilitated well, but couldn't find his shot. That happens when you're asked to do something unfamiliar. This second game, he wasn't trying to be a pure point, and it led to him shooting a decent percentage (don't remember what it was, but he didn't miss that many)...yet, he didn't rack up anything else in the statsheet. Like I said in my initial post, he's the jack of all trades...he just doesn't do anything great. In Miami, he's not going to have that opportunity to. Again, I wouldn't be surprised if he did start later in the season, at the end of it...or hell, even within the first few weeks...but Cole isn't going to be that great of a PG. At least with Rondo, I was suspicious. I still ran with him being an average one, and ate my words later, but I saw enough of Rondo to question myself a few times before he played his first NBA game. With Norris Cole, it's a bit different, seeing the role he will most likely play this year (and maybe a few years after).
  5. I'm curious...should I let you guys (all members) create the topics each day, or should I create all 1,230 of them before Christmas? The thing is, I need a few of you to move them each day, regardless of what I do. I can trust a lot of you to create them, but giving that right to more than one person could make things a little more complicated. It wouldn't take me THAT long to create them. I use Excel, import the schedule, and then fill in defaults for topic and post rows in the database. HOWEVER, the one bad thing about this is that the "date created" will all show up as tomorrow (or whenever I do it)...which means that, once I move the topics into the home team's forum, they will fall out of view, unless they have posts in them. So... a) create all 1,230 topics soon, rely on a few of you to move them each day, and hope that each gets at least one post b) have you guys create all of the topics, each day, move them, etc Let me know what you think. ------------------- Also, I'm not sure how much support this would get...but one gameday topic per day, week, month or even season...I'd consider, but I'm not sure how much activity we're going to get in every team forum, and part of the reason why I create all of those gameday topics is to "bump" these team forums with content. If we had more activity, I think I'd reconsider.
