Haha, so Stephen Curry and fillers would be a better option? Rajon Rondo and Jeff Green? DeAndre, Aminu, Kaman's expiring? So if CP3 and teammates didn't work out in New Orleans, is it supposed to be BETTER with Rajon Rondo or Stephen Curry? Kevin Martin Lamar Odom Luis Scola Emeka Okafor Trevor Ariza Goran Dragic Jarrett Jack two first-rounders That's going to be a WORSE TEAM than Rondo replacing CP3? What a joke. Again, it makes me laugh how bad these small-market teams just screwed over another small-market team, and in the end, those small-market teams won't do shit this year...and years beyond.

Haha, I won't go that far. But, I'll hope that CP3 goes to the Knicks, that Howard goes to the, uh, Clippers, and that the Conference Finals are: Lakers/Clippers Heat/Knicks For the next 2-3 years.

Laker fans aren't mad because we didn't get another superstar, we're mad because our trade was axed without a proper vote by the other 29 GM's (and even then, it's conflict of interest), and even worse, we're mad because we aren't the only ones that were allowed to talk trades with the Hornets, to actually MAKE the trade and have it go viral, and to now have to deal with Gasol and Odom being pissed off and feeling unwanted. If you thought Cleveland was wronged, you have no idea.

I didn't like many of the owners to begin with, so they'll get the blame by default. But Gilbert, and the Cavaliers...two I supported last season. Big time. I wanted the Cavaliers to make the playoffs, and I wanted them to somehow, someway, with God's assistance, beat the Heat in the first round. So Gilbert is now just about as worthless to me as Smush Parker, and that's pretty worthless.

And, Brandon Jennings just re-tweeted this, and in another tweet, asked how many aren't going to show. HEY, IT'S ALEX KENNEDY AKA SWISH!
-
Poster from RealGM, that seems to know what he's talking about... Figured I'd stick this in another topic, separate, because it may also include the Houston Rockets.

I HATE Comic Sans now.

While I still don't like your attitude, I now see why you did what you did to Dan Gilbert. Maybe the Cleveland fans didn't deserve the whole TV fiasco, but Dan Gilbert sure the hell did...and I, too, want to dropkick his son in the face while he holds his #1 pick jersey. I will be rooting for you and the Heat when you play the Cavaliers this season. January 24th February 7th February 17th On my calendar. - Brandon

Commissioner, It would be a travesty to allow the Lakers to acquire Chris Paul in the apparent trade being discussed. This trade should go to a vote of the 29 owners of the Hornets. Over the next three seasons this deal would save the Lakers approximately $20 million in salaries and approximately $21 million in luxury taxes. That $21 million goes to non-taxpaying teams and to fund revenue sharing. I cannot remember ever seeing a trade where a team got by far the best player in the trade and saved over $40 million in the process. And it doesn’t appear that they would give up any draft picks, which might allow to later make a trade for Dwight Howard. (They would also get a large trade exception that would help them improve their team and/or eventually trade for Howard.) When the Lakers got Pau Gasol (at the time considered an extremely lopsided trade) they took on tens of millions in additional salary and luxury tax and they gave up a number of prospects (one in Marc Gasol who may become a max-salary player). I just don’t see how we can allow this trade to happen. I know the vast majority of owners feel the same way that I do. When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals? Please advise…. Dan G.

I severely doubt we're getting CP3 now, which ruined our chemistry with our second and third-most valuable pieces to our two championship runs (Gasol and Odom). Because of that, I'm fine with the consequences the league will see from this, and as of right now, I don't think I've ever seen more disappointment from the basketball media since I've been watching the game...and that includes what has gone on during the lockout, recent and in 1999. --------- Woj is shut down from it, and read what an NBA executive says:

Yeah, I thought Stern didn't want players dictating where they could go before their free agency period? This is ridiculous. I hope he goes to NJ before the season starts, after he makes the request, just so the league and the garbage owners look even worse.
-
Bad thing for the NBA to tell EVERYONE ELSE trying to get CP3 that Demps was able to make deals. Several teams called league offices, were given the green light (as stated earlier). I love this, actually. This makes many other owners look like shit, and in the process, it makes Stern look terrible. Sadly, it's embarrassing for the league. There are SO many players, celebrities and fans (and even reporters) turning it into a joke, or just criticizing the hell out of this. I don't think I've ever seen this before.

Oops. Game over. Also...this is great: @JaredDudley619 RT @brianpmalone: what's your initial reaction on the rescinded CP3/LA trade? ( Bs.. I don't like it, the NBA needs to sell the team) @mchalmers15 I can't believe they doin my homie @CP3 like that wow is right. @aa000G9 (Tony Allen) Can some 1 explain!! @jrich23 Speechless about the @CP3 block trade. Smh Haha, Dan Gilbert getting destroyed.
