Everyone has shitty weeks. I had one week where I didn't select anything, and one where I had my girlfriend log in and select every team on the left (just assuming all would cover the spread) and I had just five points that week. I still came in first. By the way, that's a bit inaccurate. You weren't leading after Week 1. Then, after Week 2, you were in first place (but tied with Guru)... Week 3 put me in first place. Guru was #1 for Weeks 4, 5, AND 6. http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/topic/15679-yahoo-nfl-pickem/page__view__findpost__p__191738 http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/topic/15679-yahoo-nfl-pickem/page__view__findpost__p__194336 After that, you had first for a week, then Confidence ended up getting it. You took it back for one week, I landed three consecutive 10's and took first from my 5th spot, never let it go after that. You had numerous bad weeks, and your first week was mediocre.

Very much appreciated. Thank you. You need to change your birth date, lol.

Yep, anytime. The donations I've gotten so far have us covered for a couple months, but it'll all be put to use, eventually.

For those in favor of the new kickoff rule, why not just put the ball at the 20 every time? Why do we still have onside kicks? Players can get trucked from that, trying to look up at the ball instead of ahead at the opposing players. Those that want ten yards instead of just five (holding call), sacks aren't always ten yards. That penalty is first assuming the QB is actually going to get sacked, PLUS adding another 3-5 yards in the process. Safeties are one of the, if not the, rarest ways to score in football. You can assume that teams would rather take the two point loss AND kick the ball off (kickoff) than anything else. A punt from the endzone can put the opposing team 40 yards from scoring seven. If a team is pushed that far back to begin with, they are going to lose possession on a 4th down, that's obvious. Why not make safeties five points, and enforce that team to not receive the ball, but to kick it back after scoring that safety? That five points is about half of the nine possible (the two on a safety in today's game + a possible TD that can come out of the next possession). I don't know...just never understood why a safety wasn't worth more than two, and why possession is also part of the package.

The Republican Presidential Debate
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
Didn't want to stay up watching it all, so I finished it this morning. WTF is wrong with people? A 30-year old man is laid off from work, loses insurance, and weeks later, is diagnosed with cancer. He needs chemo, so the general idea of Ron Paul is that he has to pay out of pocket (no insurance), or he has to rely on charities/churches, or else he's screwed. Is this real life? The crowd CHEERED when the Repub candidates were asked if they should just let the man die. All eight candidates suck...this is ridiculous. Not to say I wish something bad on any of them, but I would LOVE to see all of them (and the brainless people in the crowd) go through a tragic event in their lives where their backs are completely against the wall. One time, just to experience it, and let their lives go back to normal. See if that changes their minds. No matter what you do, you can't eliminate government from our society, and you can't let it run wild, either. Finding a balance is possible, and if all of these candidates would start worrying about the country, rather than saying the right things to look good...they'd have it all figured out. Instead, they would rather kick the can until the next election, making others look bad and letting our country run itself into the ground, then dive in and act like they were given an impossible task, with so much support, all due to the next Great Depression. -
It's a train wreck. Just now watching it...probably going to turn it off, honestly.

WHOA, a 77-yard punt. :o

Haha, yes. TOUCHDOWN.

Maybe if McFadden was Barry Sanders, but there's no way. Campbell sucks, and we need production from him. He's on and off like a light switch, and that hurts us almost as much as our penalties.

They should seriously rename the team the Oakland Penalties. I'm not even joking.

Wolves Hire Rick Adelman
Real Deal replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Minnesota Timberwolves Team Forum
Already the greatest coach in Minnesota's history? I guess you could argue Flip. -
I love how Oakland has the strongest kicker and punter. Sebastian is over here kicking 70-yarders in warm-ups, and Shane is booting 70-yard punts like it's nothing.

Did they just say Sebastian kicked a near-70 yard FG in warm-ups? :o
