  1. Homepage is updated with the new style (finally). I hate WordPress.
  2. If this is successful, we can run with a team concept the next tourney. Eight teams of two, and we can open up the topics outside of basketball, or even sports (unless you want to do that in this one, which might be a bit complicated if guys don't watch other sports).
  3. Ha, nice one. I'll get that changed later tonight.
  4. I don't know. I gave it to Kidd not because of the ring, but because he simply did more on the court. Kidd did play just 5-6 seasons in Dallas, though. I'm assuming Harper doubled that, because he was still in Dallas when I first started watching basketball.
  5. Nets - http://otrbasketball.com/nets/roster.php WHAAAT? C - Shaq PF - Gasol SF - Baylor SG - Kobe PG - Magic Come on, you Blazers fan...I know why you said that. Lakers take Orlando at every single position, and easily.
  6. If Moon and Lucas are scoring 25-30, I can't say I'm too impressed. I just hope that, for the Nets' sake, Brooks doesn't come in wanting the ball every possession. The main focus is Deron Williams, specifically keeping him happy. Deron eats first, Lopez second. If Brooks comes in with a selfish mindset, Avery will need to sit him down and let him know how things work.
  7. Magic - http://www.otrbasketball.com/magic/roster.php Mavericks - http://www.otrbasketball.com/mavericks/roster.php I know Dallas fans wanted Sam Perkins as a center on the all-time roster, but every year he played for Dallas, he was their starting PF. He played very few minutes at the center position. It's the same situation I had with Dwight Howard. I wanted to place him at the PF, Shaq at center...but there's no way. Howard hasn't played the four in years.
  8. 1) Cleveland Cavaliers: Kyrie Irving 2) Minnesota Timberwolves: Derrick Williams 3) Utah Jazz: Enes Kanter 4) Cleveland Cavaliers: ?
  9. Just ten votes? COME ON, WOW. Kanter it is.
  10. Found better pictures of Kareem and Marques.
  11. Yeah, I never considered Wilt as the Lakers' greatest center. I ended up changing it to Shaq a few hours ago, despite some Lakers fans thinking it should be Kareem. My reasoning? Kareem's last two rings, he wasn't at his best...in fact, he was exiting his career. He wasn't the man for this third, either. His best days as a Laker came before Magic put on his jersey, and I don't think there's any argument that Kareem's greatness was put on display as a Buck, more than ever. Shaq's three consecutive rings came as a Laker, in his ultimate prime, playing the best basketball of his career. For those reasons, I really can't leave Shaq out.
  12. Wilt Chamberlain Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Bill Russell Shaquille O'Neal Hakeem Olajuwon There's five. Moses Malone David Robinson Two more. Maybe he could sneak into the 8th slot, being better than Ewing (eventually), but The Admiral was too good on both ends of the court, and I never saw Yao getting to that level of play...let alone creeping his way into that top five. Not a chance.
  13. I'm thinking that, also. My problem is, I can't leave Shaq off an all-time team. His best days were in Los Angeles, but he's up against Kareem, who spent 14 seasons there and put up some big numbers (not as big as O'Neal's, but he won more rings there). I might have Kareem on the Bucks (his best years), Shaq on the Lakers, and Howard on the Magic.
  14. Shaq or Dwight? Shaq was the greater offensive player, Howard the better defender. Howard has been with Orlando longer. Both went to the NBA Finals. Who's the all-time center?
  15. By the way, people can say Rodman shouldn't be up there, but he's the greatest defensive player to ever play the game, not only the best rebounder since the Wilt era, so I wouldn't be too worried about that selection. I'll probably make my list soon. Tough call, especially if it's in order.
  16. Bump. Help me out. Is it Shaq or Kareem? And it's so difficult sticking Kobe over West, but I'm considering the two different eras, the Laker records held by Bryant, and the five championships Kobe has won.
  17. Nope, possibly because of all the extras in the URL, but also because you wrote in the tags incorrectly to begin with.
  18. Wade gets on that list before LeBron does, no doubt about it. If you're putting LeBron on the list (who doesn't have a championship and a Finals MVP) and then sticking Dumars up there (who doesn't have the stats Wade does), I'm confused as to what your criteria is.
  19. You don't need Youtube tags to post the video anymore...just post the URL, and the board takes care of the rest.
  20. Lakers - http://www.otrbasketball.com/lakers/roster.php After many hours of deliberation (me sitting at my computer), I decided that Elgin Baylor didn't play enough power forward to stick at that position on the roster, and shockingly, Gasol is the greatest PF in Lakers history. It would be nice to stick Wilt there, or Shaq, but they weren't PF's. Also, I had to choose between Kobe and West, and it came down to who had the most rings. West has the better stats in a weaker era, Kobe has five rings and holds a lot of Laker records (including the scoring records), and neither West or Kobe are SF's. Ugh.
  21. Do you see what all of these roster entries are doing to me? Holy [expletive]. :wallbash3: Two days ago, I had to add Biyombo to Sacramento's draft slot, which doesn't help me out, at all. http://otrbasketball.com/draft/2011.php Then, I worked the three-way deal and moved everyone around to their appropriate rosters, with the exception of mixing up Kemba and Knight, for some reason (no idea how that happened). BLAH. Super-stressed...leave me alone, lol.
  22. If they want her to be successful, they need to stop screwing with the tone of her voice. Someone needs to come along and get her away from whoever is producing her music.
  23. Not really sure about that, now that they have Blake, but I have no idea how they aren't at least in the top 10 hardest to support.
  24. Kings - http://www.otrbasketball.com/kings/roster.php
  25. Big man frontcourt duos, or just frontcourts in general? Because we could be talking about LeBron + Bosh, Melo + Amare, or we could single out the bigs instead. Most of the fascination comes from these international rookies. What if they live up to expectations? Suddenly, the big man duo of Jefferson and Kanter is nasty. So much hype around Jonas Valanciunas, what about him being paired with Ed Davis, who is only going to get better? Monroe and Biyombo (UH, NO)? Of course, I don't believe any of those I named are going to be "Twin Tower" duos. Does Drew and Gasol count, once the Lakers start playing through Bynum a little more than they did this past season? Cousins and Hickson will be interesting. It would be nice if we knew where guys like David West were going to end up. This question would be much easier, haha.
