  1. I've never been high on Christian, really, and it's weak how he continues to get title shots. It's too bad Christian and Edge didn't stay together as a tag team, or Christian didn't find a new tag partner. I think he's better doing that. Vince doesn't really have a tag team that makes me care enough for the tag titles, which is sad, because back when wrestling was incredible, the tag division was amazing. It just feels like all Raw is built for is to give Cena a ton of heels to stomp on, leading up to his match with The Rock next year. Then, Smackdown is basically set up to create a rivalry between Orton and Christian (wooo hooo), and to turn Mark Henry into a bad ass, which was LONG overdue. I think Cena has just killed wrestling for me. He gets his ass kicked most of the match, turns green and goes into Super Cena mode, beats the hell out of his oppoent for about 60 seconds, and wins the match. Hogan started getting dull as well, until he turned heel, and it saved WCW at that time. If Punk loses at the PPV, it's Del Rio's turn...and if that Rick Martel/Eddie Guerrero ripoff wins the belt, it's going to turn me away from wrestling even more, even if it's against Cena.
  2. Not sure, but it's the same kind of truck.
  3. Honestly, I don't watch Smackdown for the simple fact that the Orton/Christian BS needs to end. I hear a lot of people don't like Orton, though...and I'm not really sure why. I think he's very good at what he does. I would much rather see him holding the belt than Christian.
  4. I'm shocked, honestly. I don't think he could get that deal anywhere here, and with the possibility of lower salaries in the NBA, it's even more less likely.
  5. Right, and not only that, but wow, the Pistons were an amazing defensive unit. That's basically what won them a championship.
  6. Haha, maybe, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was a wrench thrown in there, somewhere. We all thought LeBron was headed to NY as well. I'm not really sure how many of us thought he would land in Miami with Bosh.
  7. Tough call. Take your pick from the championship days (because a team that didn't win it all can't be an option)... http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/SAS/1999.html http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/SAS/2003.html http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/SAS/2005.html http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/SAS/2007.html While the 1999 Spurs put up the best record in both the regular season and playoffs, it was also a 50-game season. Does that change your stance a bit? Which is the best Spurs team?
  8. Similar to the Howard/Orlando topic that BFT created...what do the Hornets need to do (via trade or free agency) to keep CP3 in New Orleans? Do they need to re-sign David West? Carl Landry? Let both drop, and try to bring in a few free agents that will contribute? There aren't many others. Is it time to deal Ariza?
  9. Luke Walton for Rajon Rondo. Realistic trade: Luke Walton or Steve Blake for Delonte West in a sign-and-trade.
  10. I realize he started a handful of games for the Clips last season, but not enough to really say he's going to be a big part of their future. Mo Williams has two years left on his deal (he'll more than likely take that player option), and Bledsoe has a team option exactly two years from now. Do you think the Clippers will look to acquire another point guard, in hopes that they will find a legit starter, or are they crossing their fingers and hoping that Bledsoe develops into a legitimate starting point?
  11. Gotta love cap space. The Wizards would have a TON of it if it wasn't for Shard's ugly deal, but even with that on board, they are looking at a $40 million payroll. Assuming the cap stays around last year's number (even $2-3 million lower), the Wizards have anywhere from $15-18 million to spend. Of course, this is also assuming the CBA is very similar to the old one. David West or Carl Landry? Andrei Kirilenko? Will Glen Davis stay in Boston? JR Smith and Jamal Crawford are also nice options, especially if the Wizards don't match an offer for Nick Young (although I'm sure they will). Could they use a big center? Sammy Dalembert and Earl Clark, maybe even Greg Oden, are out there. Nene is a free agent. Nenad Krstic could be available. I doubt Dallas wants to let go of Chandler, as much as he would want to stay.
  12. Oden is an amazing defensive player when he's out there. He's on that Howard level, really. I would find it very hard to give up on him, but I do see why some are a bit worried, because that offer sheet could be a little too much.
  13. Danilo Gallinari Ty Lawson Wilson Chandler Al Harrington Andre Miller Arron Afflalo They have a lot of talent, but would you say the Nuggets need a superstar scorer (or at least an all-star caliber player) to actually contend for a championship, or can they build their team with the same concept as Larry Brown's Pistons?
  14. You having to provide explanations for multiple things, which ironically stack up to show that she's guilty, is enough. It's asinine. If $500 was stolen from someone, and I had $490 because I spent $10 on gas getting back home with the money...hell, I didn't have the entire $500, and who's to say that the $10 I used at the station was part of the stolen money? :o I paid for my gas with black gloves on, and a winter face mask, but hey, it's cold out, and maybe I'm just keeping warm. The robber had that on also? Wow, that's a coincidence. My DNA wasn't at the crime scene, though, so I'm good to rob whoever else I need to. If I was with my mother, and she disappeared, I'm pretty sure I did it, or I know who did it. And I'm not going to wait a month to report it, unless I want her to decompose.
  15. Oden is a restricted free agent. Should Portland match an offer sheet that Oden is more than likely going to receive from a team in need of a talented center, or is it time to move on?
  16. Oklahoma City is right there, but there's something missing. What do they need?
  17. Vince continues to bury guys that, at one point, seem to take off (I'm sure he enjoys this), but then they crash and burn before our eyes. It's funny...I was thinking about how Vince made us all believe Mason Ryan was about to break away from Nexus by attacking Punk and the other two, then going ballistic on a few wrestlers, Lesnar/Batista style...but nope. I know he can't wrestle, but that never stopped Cena, Lesnar, Batista, and even Hogan. It took Mark Henry about 60 years to look like a bad ass that could actually contend for a belt. I originally didn't like CM Punk, but he's really incredible on the mic, and I started to like him when he went for that Macho Man tribute. I thought that was awesome. Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, he's being put back on the shelf. He's going to get his ass kicked by Cena at the PPV, and that's it for him, just like it was for Miz. Super Cena is reaching Hulk Hogan status, but he's no Hogan. I don't care about the numbers...Cena draws kiddies and women. Hogan raked in the entire United States, at one point, when he was feuding with Slaughter. Cena doesn't touch Hogan, in that regard...but Vince is doing his best to make it happen, and it's killing wrestling.
  18. Jameer is the key...and being able to get rid of Gilbert Arenas (with an amnesty clause) is also huge, but not necessary to reconstruct the team. If Orlando can use the MLE to get JR Smith (he'll probably get more, unless he loves the contract length and the starting role in Orlando), then get rid of Jameer for another decent player that can defend LeBron and Pierce (this could be Kirilenko, who is also a free agent, and maybe Utah wants to move away from Devin Harris, like we suspected on draft night), they can then look at Delonte West in a small sign-and-trade deal (Ryan Anderson, maybe...whoever...West isn't going to cost much). It's a lot to put together, three big moves that can really change that team, but last season, they went nuts and basically re-wrote the team, so I don't see why they wouldn't make that attempt again. C - Dwight Howard | Daniel Orton PF - Brandon Bass | Hedo Turkoglu SF - Andre Kirilenko | Quentin Richardson SG - JR Smith | JJ Redick PG - Delonte West | Gilbert Arenas I don't know. Hard to say. For all of that to happen...I'd be shocked. It's not impossible, though.
  19. I absolutely love how one of the comments points out an obvious flaw in the statistics, but the blogger gets pissed off and marks out most of the comment. Yeah, Kevin Love isn't 2.7 times more valuable than Rose. Sorry. I know there are flaws, but that's a huge one, and I'm sure there are many more.
  20. If you want to see how big this truck really is... http://media.247sports.com/Uploads/Boards/33/23033/52027.jpg
  21. Decided to move this into NBA General, since it's more about a group of players moving overseas, and not necessarily about the Lakers.
  22. In other words, charged her with nothing, because she did a fantastic job of letting her daughter decompose in a trunk and in a swamp for too long. If this were a rape case, we wouldn't know if Caylee was raped because, well, she was all bones when she was found. She was rewarded today, for being an excellent murderer. She'll be rewarded later for the books, interviews, and movie(s). They had everything but DNA, and if they didn't have any DNA to begin with, I suppose Caylee just killed herself, taped her mouth shut, and threw herself into the swamp. Oh well...it's making me sick just talking about Casey walking free. OJ was a bit different. This was devastating for far too many people. She'll get hers.
  23. Goudelock can't have a C- because he hasn't played a single game yet. Fisher is the better player, due to experience and actually being a proven clutch NBA player. And our two sophomores (Caracter and Ebanks) are basically going to be rookies next season, so I'm not sure how they are being graded lower than Majok (who we probably won't see) and even Morris and Goudelock. If anything, they should all have the same grade, and lower than anyone else on the roster. Ebanks is actually the best player of the five above, today, followed by Caracter.
  24. See, you put out a list that didn't include every team's best player. Jefferson is Utah's best. You didn't list anyone for Phoenix. You listed two players for some teams. It's not always going to be getting the best player off a team. Nash is the best in a Suns jersey, but why would you want to trade a young Ellis for anyone on the Phoenix Suns?
