Good on my end, at least right now. I haven't been online for the last 3-4 hours.

GM2: Denver at Oklahoma City (OKC 1-0)
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in Oklahoma City Thunder Team Forum
Denver couldn't defend that early surge, and they couldn't hit shots. You can't stick the blame on Karl. And, your two bigs (Moz and Koufos) can't score the ball, and neither can Birdman. What's the point of having them in? The Thunder were shooting jumpers the entire game (65 of them, to be exact), or getting out on the break, so it wasn't about protecting the paint. Could've done better grabbing boards, but even Nene and Martin were struggling trying to keep the Thunder off the offensive glass. In fact, 18 of the Thunder's 54 boards were grabbed by guards (Durant is an SF). Looked more like Perkins and Ibaka doing a better job of boxing out, and allowing those guards to get in there and get the boards, than anything else. -
Look dude, I know she'll be big for a while, but you gotta be a man and just hang in there, at least for the kid's sake. Congrats. Hope it's a boy.

GM2: New Orleans at LA Lakers (NOH 1-0)
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
We need to stop going to Gasol in the post. Just treat him like he's Derrick Caracter, and start getting the ball to Drew and Odom much, much more. I don't think I've ever appreciated Drew more than this, after this particular game. He plays like a man, like a true seven-footer. It's disgusting seeing Gasol flopping around and not running back down the court. Ariza played very, very good defense on Kobe. However, Bryant did get hit 3-4 times going to the rim, obvious calls, that weren't called. It's hilarious when she asked Phil about it after the third quarter...good of her to bring it up. Kobe chucked a couple of shots, but I actually didn't mind his shot selection. One or two of them were in the closing seconds of the clock, and GARGOYLE GASOL has cement shoes, and stands 20 feet from the rim and doesn't know what the hell to do against Carl Landry. I can assure you that Williams has been preaching to the Hornets that they have to be physical with Pau. That has to be one of the main coaching strategies in this series. Pau is getting manhandled...a combined 16 points and 11 rebounds, 4-19 FG, in the first two games of the series. I thought Kobe did decent on CP3. Paul blew by him 2-3 times, but he did a very good job denying him the ball many times throughout the game. GREAT game by Drew, though, and same with Odom, who also made Gasol look more like a small forward. Barnes was nice to have out there. Ron didn't do too bad at all, aside from a few missed shots and getting blown by when guarding Ariza (expected of him). On to New Orleans. -
LMAO, I have no idea why, but I do the same thing with the volume. My TV is loud and clear at 24, so I keep it there and watch all of my Lakers games at that level.

Nope, he's done. Injuries are a career-killer.

Steph Curry or Brandon Jennings?
Real Deal replied to andre smoothwhite's topic in Player Comparisons
I remember the days you absolutely loved Jennings. Too many missed shots and no defense? Curry, obvious choice. He needs to get better on the defensive end, but he's a much better facilitator and shooter. -
Mentioned this around mid-November, which is around the time I last saw him play. :wallbash3:

GM2: Atlanta at Orlando (ATL 1-0)
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in Orlando Magic Team Forum
Terrible game. Look at this...everyone that took a shot for Orlando: Turkoglu (4-16 FG, 25%) Nelson (4-15 FG, 27%) J-Rich (3-12 FG, 25%) Bass (2-6 FG, 33%) Redick (1-6 FG, 17%) Arenas (1-3 FG, 33%) Q-Rich (0-1 FG, 0%) Anderson (3-7 FG, 43%) Howard (9-12 FG, 75%) Is it safe to say that Atlanta lost this game on their own, or Dwight just won this thing by himself? The Hawks missed a lot of wide-open shots, and it's obvious that the Magic can't defend outside of Howard. -
GM2: New York at Boston (BOS 1-0)
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in Boston Celtics Team Forum
I think that's why you have a lot of people defending the play in the first place. Jeffries had the best look at the basket, aside from Walker (who Melo couldn't find at the time), and getting it to Jeffries was probably the best option. We already saw Melo jack up a 26-footer to try and win Game 1, and with two people on him, he wasn't going to hit it this time around, either. I've been hard on guys like Walton and Vujacic for a few years, saying that Kobe and Fish are the only two guys who should ever take a game-winning jumper...but that's just it: a jumper. If Kobe has Walton three feet from the rim, and Kobe is being doubled, I'd hope he throws it to Walton. Unfortunately, guys like him are usually 23 feet from the rim, waiting for a long three that they can't hit. Walton had that opportunity once, against the Knicks (ironically), and he screwed it up because he wasn't expecting the pass. Jeffries wanted it. Had Jeffries put the ball in the hoop, I'm pretty sure things would be much different here, and everyone would be talking about the surprising offensive production Jeffries put out for the Knicks tonight. The fact is, when you have an NBA player three feet from the rim, with the least amount of defensive attention on him, and your primary option (and, truly, your only option) is doubled 25 feet from the rim, you have to make that pass and cross your fingers. -

I can't stand D'Antoni because he looks like the Pringles guy, and he is an overrated coach, but that last play was the smart thing to do. Garnett is just a really good defensive player. If anything were to change, Jeffries should've just put the ball up. -
I'd say he's probably my favorite PG of all-time, even though he was not on the level of a Magic or Stockton. I loved the way he played, all the flash and unselfishness. The dude could do anything with the ball in his hands.

Ridiculous. He's arguably the best defender in the NBA, aside from Howard.

Smackdown: Here Comes The Pain is the greatest wrestling game I've ever played, hands down, followed by No Mercy on the N64. Nothing tops HCTP, and I would play that over and over again if I had a 60GB PS3.

You Canadians and Californians and Jersey Shorians are funny.

GM2: Memphis at San Antonio (MEM 1-0)
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in San Antonio Spurs Team Forum
Splitter isn't going to get a lot of time if Manu isn't healthy. The Spurs need more offense to beat teams, because they aren't the greatest defensive team these days. -
You spelled wimp wrong, wimp.

GM2: Philadelphia at Miami (MIA 1-0)
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
Mario Chalmers took nearly as many shots as Iguodala. That's mind-blowing.
