Excellent defense by Kobe on that last play (Thornton) to end the 4th, then good defense for the OT as well. Dude missed 3-4 big shots near the end of the game, then drains a three out of nowhere to go into OT, then hits another big 23-footer. The most disturbing part is that we kept giving up those o-boards near the end of the game. How does that happen? We need Drew.

Why is it that every time someone defends Kobe, on anything (and by the way, nobody is defending him for what he said, just that the fine is too hefty), immature jackasses come in and start their little insecure rant about how shit would be different if it were LeBron? Slaven thinks it's not that offensive, that he had the right to say it. Slaven must be a Kobe-jocker. Eventually, I'll start to consider it baiting, and I'll hand suspensions out for it. Stop acting like a bunch of fleas and hop off. EDIT: Guess it's time to re-create the "no Lakers forum" permission masks for the children that can't seem to get enough of Kobe and this team.

Yeah, I found that out earlier. I didn't realize they added the division winning as a tie-breaker. They did it last year (or two years ago).

I have no idea why the Hornets would want to win this game. If they do, it's an automatic bid against the Lakers, no matter what else happens. Dallas losing means LA gets the 2nd seed, and a Hornets win means they lock up 7th. Does Dallas really want Denver in the first round? If they snag the 2nd seed (by winning, and us losing), they could be playing the Hornets or Grizz in the first round. It means they will avoid the Blazers (who are locked into 6th) and avoid Denver (who are locked in as 5th). My prediction: Mavericks 140, Hornets 20.

Yes sir. A Lakers win locks up #2. A Dallas loss locks up #2 for us as well. If we lose, and Dallas wins, we are third. OKC is locked in at 4th, no matter what.

Pathetic win. Good that we won, but we need work, and we need Drew and Barnes healthy.
