  1. Was there any downtime? I didn't seem to notice, lol.
  2. If Haslem is returning and backing up Bosh, and Dampier is starting...where does that leave Big Z and Joel Anthony? Do the Heat really need four centers that are either too old, 350 pounds or just a complete and utter disaster on offense? The point is, having another body makes sense until you start realizing he has to actually play. He can give you six fouls? That's cool...fouls turn into free throws. If you guys only had one center, it would be understandable because you'd need an extra coming off the bench, but you already have three, and then you'll have two power forwards that are capable of playing the five (Bosh and Haslem) when the Heat want to go small with LeBron at the four (which has helped win them games). You really want to see Eddy Curry trying to rotate on defense? He won't get there in time to foul. You'd be better off playing Joel more, if that's the plan. Pavel Podkolzin is still available, isn't he? He's in shape and pretty young, might as well go after him as well.
  3. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. http://www.adamriff.com/images/tracy_mcgrady.gif
  4. Super scrub threw the ball at Kobe's feet. Honestly, I wouldn't even consider him a most hated player...hard to consider him a player to begin with.
  5. You really get pissed when someone says anything bad about the Heat, huh? The Bulls rolled the Heat like a broom rolls dust particles across the floor. Season sweep. Rolled. Beaten all three times. The Heat went 0-3. I don't know how else to say it. And Wade doesn't do shit by himself, and those meltdowns had been happening quite a bit since the season started in October...completely irrelevant as to how they lost the game. They don't gain partial HCA by barely losing, or having meltdowns as an excuse.
  6. I think the server is getting hit with another round of DDoS attacks. Not sure what's going on, so just stay patient. Thanks guys.
  7. Not really a bad name. I think things were carried over from another site that ruthlessly threw him into the dirt, and the idea is to try and repair that image. The truth is, Swish came over here and was posting things he read from others, basically repeating everything, almost a copy/paste from other posts. He also decided to spam OTR. However, there's no denying he's trying to change, and progressing. I had a talk with him about how to recruit without spamming, and he has done a good job trying to follow that. Also, his posts are better. He admits to having trouble with English, but the content is what I look at, and he's putting his own thoughts into it now. As odd as it sounds, we like to mold our posters. You won't find many trolls here, if any at all. The members are pretty close, as far as a community goes, and some can't fit in so quickly, which leads to their departure (unfortunately, but possibly a good thing for both parties). I set high expectations on everyone on my "team" (good way to state it), and if they don't meet those expectations, it's not a big deal as long as the member is doing his/her best and following our guidelines. I'd like to think we have the most intelligent group of basketball posters out there. We have a lot of fans that watch much more than their favorite team, and that's what separates us from most. It's honestly difficult to fit in at first, because I started OTR in 2005...but you just have to hang in there and breathe fire for a while, and people will notice.
  8. You're right. The Knicks would make the fourth team on April 12th. All teams play four teams in their conference just three times (what a mess of a sentence).
  9. I'm sure it helps their record just as much as all of the East teams benefit from not having to play in a conference with 11 teams near or above .500 the entire season. Just for kicks, I went to look at how the other top teams in the East fared against those Central Division teams (DET, CLE, IND and MIL), and I noticed something. The Miami Heat played the Pistons, Cavaliers and Bucks four times each this season. Chicago did as well. The Pacers are the team Miami played three times, and the Pacers are the only team .500 or better among the four. The Boston Celtics played the Cavaliers and Bucks just three times, the Pacers and Pistons four. Of the three teams (Boston, Miami and Chicago), it looks like Boston had it the worst against the East. While the Bulls and Heat had a three-game series against three playoff teams in the East, Boston only had it against two. However, it doesn't mean much, because losses came against Cleveland for both the Heat and Celtics, and I believe the Pacers beat both teams as well. Plus, Chicago rolled Miami three times, and so did Boston. Pretty irrelevant.
  10. Welcome to the best. No questions...we'll get to know you as you post.

  15. Pretty disappointing. I had 80% of this done before the hack. If my hard drive hadn't crashed a week or two earlier, or the hack hadn't happened, I could've pulled it all off the server and had it to edit (and had backups of OTR's forums database).

  17. I'll have links put up on the home page once I finish up the team sites. The banners for the team sites shouldn't have links. I'm not sure if I'll be adding them or not...undecided on where to link each of these banners. They all share the same header, the banners are placed based on stylesheets (not sure how much of that makes sense to you), so as far as editing the code goes, I'm going to have to link all banners to the home page of OTR, if I make that decision, not home pages of team sites.
  18. I don't know. They played into their new offensive strategy well, which sort of threw Duncan aside in terms of him creating out of the post, and they went into a more guard-generated offense. Tony Parker has been absolutely amazing penetrating the defense, and Pop has taken advantage of that. But at the end of the day, I think the Spurs will have to play more through Duncan to beat a team like the Lakers, and I'm not sure how successful that can be this season. I wouldn't be surprised if the Thunder ran them to death in the second round, honestly.
  19. Wade and Bron are better help, but I'm not sure if they are better on-ball defenders. I'll give the thumbs up to Wade, I suppose. Bron doesn't do it for me. And yeah, sad to say it, but Chalmers' only contributions come on the defensive end, and he's not a stellar defender to begin with. I figured he would be an excellent spot-up shooter from long range, but he still seems lost on the offensive end of the court...not really sure why. He can't really create for anyone, not in the pros. I think he just has to accept a particular role on offense, go in the gym and in practices, and work harder than ever in that one area. I'm interested to see how the Heat play Boston...if Bibby will be on Rondo. I'm not sure he can tail Ray all game long, and he'd probably find himself on his back from all the screens he'll hit. If he doesn't give Rondo space to shoot, Rajon will be at the rim, and that's where Haslem will be needed the most.
  20. FYI - Mentch sent me an email explaining how N/A jumped on his account and posted, which makes sense because their IP's were different most of the time. Did some investigating (we're all detectives) and found a lot of things he said were true in regards to where he lived and such. Unfortunately, I cant stop N/A from getting back on his friend's account. However, there's something he doesn't realize, either, concerning IP addresses, and I hope he doesn't make that mistake twice. Just thought I would add this bit of information, in case anyone is wondering why Mentch is unbanned.
