  2. Five consecutive losses, and they are playing Houston (who are going to fight) in a few hours. If they lose to Houston, we'll be one loss behind them. They also play us pretty soon (the Spurs do). If we take that game, things get even more interesting.
  3. Oops, slipped my mind. I had to change all of the assistant coaches just a bit ago, had all of them from last season. Thanks.
  4. The one thing I see that's good about Bibby is that he's hot from three. Arroyo hit a lot of 15-footers, but he didn't exactly stretch the floor, and he didn't have that one thing he did really, really well. Bibby is probably one of the best three-point shooters in the league at his position (not going to look at percentages, but I'm sure they are close to agreeing with me). Back in Sactown, Bibby choked in the postseason. Can't really recall how well he did with Atlanta, but I'm assuming a little better because of a lesser role on offense. We'll see how it works out this time around. And yes, Haslem should have a red carpet pulled out for him in his return. The Heat need him badly. I think you could make an argument that he would be their best defensive player, and obviously their best defensive big.

  6. Of course, we already knew Bibby was a bad defensive player, but having a PG that can't defend anyone or anything means he has to rely on some sort of an anchor, or any kind of help, and it's just not getting done. There is no Howard in the frontcourt.

  8. What the hell? I didn't even realize that. http://www.nba.com/games/20110331/DALLAL/gameinfo.html#nbaGIPlay :o
  9. Stop playing with my head, dude. Haha, I know that each regular season game basically has the same amount of importance, if you don't consider HCA over playoff teams. All I'm saying is, when you lose late in the season, and it's to a team you're supposed to beat, that's the game that you'll remember. LeBron isn't going to go back and think of that loss to the Pacers. The entire Heat team should be over that. Right now...today...they are wishing they had won that Cleveland game, especially after Boston just beat the Spurs last night, and Chicago doesn't plan on slowing down. I can't recall all of the Lakers losses from November or December, but ask me in two weeks which ones we should've won (if we lose a game or two this month), and I'll be telling you the most current ones, because we're on a 16-1 rampage out of the All-Star break, and if we lose any "bunnies" from here on out (say, versus Kings) it's going to hurt far much more than our loss against Cleveland right before the break.
  10. LA is looking much, much better than I imagined. That's now a 16-1 record after the break.
  11. EDIT: Finally completed the all-time rosters for every team in the NBA. I'll just post all of the links, and you guys can go through and tell me what you think. I'd list them in here, but you'll get pictures if you go to the links, and that's more fun (not making money off ads, so the pics are the only reason I'm posting them, lol). Kareem is not a PF, West is not a SF, so they were left out (Kareem's best years were in Milwaukee, statistically, and he wasn't in his prime when he won three of his five rings in LA). Basically, it's more of you asking, "Who is the greatest PG in Sixers history?" Most would say Mo Cheeks, because quite frankly, Allen Iverson has played the majority of his career at the SG, and he's widely considered one of the greatest two-guards of our time. I hope you guys enjoy these. They took forever...the decisions were hard to make, but finding pictures for some of these older players was almost impossible.
  12. Terry got himself ejected, the most he has done for Dallas all night long.
  13. "Man Up" is my old podcast. TNT owes me money for ripping that name.
  14. Rondo with 22 points, 14 assists, 5 rebounds, and no turnovers. Monster of a game, and he hit a few jumpers in the process, which is a huge surprise.
  15. He's strong, but Evans is pretty damn solid as well. I'm not really sure why he would say any of that, but I'll consider the source.
  16. It was 88-81 after the third. I watched the game. Washington basically crashed without Wall, had to rely on Crawford getting everything on his own, and the rest of the team was worthless. The Wizards were up 37-36 when Wall was ejected. The game was a blowout in the fourth, but I'm pretty sure the Heat know that it had the potential for a nail-biter before the ejection, and they were having trouble building on their lead up until that final quarter. I'm pretty sure Washington won the third, anyway.
  17. I added "Yahoo!" in the title because there were two on ESPN that correctly predicted the Final Four as well.
  18. So, I'll provide an example... The Pacers and Bobcats are in a race for the last seed in the East. I don't know their schedules, but let's say Charlotte plays a game against the Cavaliers to end the season. How important does that final game become, compared to when they played them back in November or December? What if Charlotte is one loss behind Indiana? Miami's games have become much more important in March, and will be even more important in April, if they want to surpass the Celtics and have a chance at snagging that #1, PLUS getting HCA over as many West teams as they can. Given that the game hurts them in the standings around the time they needed a win the most, plus the fact that it was against the worst team in the NBA, I see more damage coming from this game than I do against any non-contender. Of course, a game against Boston or Chicago would be the most important, given their positions in the standings AND being that it's near the end of the regular season, but this loss was pretty damn important as well, since it should've been a very easy win for them. That's all I'm saying.
  19. After the Heat beat the Lakers on Christmas Day, they went off and won another 7-8 consecutive games. The Heat ended a five-game losing streak in March, when they beat the Lakers...and since that win, they have gone 8-2. It's one of the teams you mentioned, but you mentioned the Lakers because of the potential Finals match-up, nothing more. The truth is, games can be more important than others depending on who it is they win against, and when they fall on the schedule. The Cleveland loss could end up hurting the Heat's confidence. They barely beat Washington last night, despite the Wizards not having Wall for three quarters, and missing Howard, Young, and Shard...basically, a huge chunk of the core, minus McGee and a pathetic Blatche. Plus, with it falling late in the season (when Miami has supposedly clicked, developed more chemistry and are making up for the games they lost in November), it is much more important than that loss against the Jazz near the beginning of the season.

  21. Washington wouldn't have won this game anyway, Wall or not, because they have Andray Blatche. Solid near-40 for Crawford, holding down the fort without Wall, Howard, Young and Shard.
  22. Jordan Crawford was a beast in college, and tonight, he's a beast in the NBA.
  23. Too much uncertainty. There are far many more that never pan out, or that are complete trash on one end of the court. I mean, I'm not going to complain about someone like Charles Barkley, of course, even though he never played defense...but when I look at someone like Luther Head, I'm reminded that tweeners are big risks in the draft, and I would rather go with the sure bet at that particular position. Give me a 6-3 player that can run the point, and I'll call him a point guard, and I won't have to consider playing him at the two and watching him get destroyed. I think people mix the versatile players up with the tweeners, though. To me, a tweener is a fit at one position, with the size at another. The Head example is good...he's a two-guard, but he's too short and doesn't have the body mass to make up for it. LeBron James is considered a tweener by some, which seems ridiculous to me because he's just a versatile player that can play multiple positions well, much like Odom. I guess I take the risk if it's Derrick Williams (seems like this is why the topic was created, lol), but that's only because of how well he plays, and I feel like he's a true SF to begin with, once he's in a bigger and badder pool of players.
