We already went this route...no point in bringing it back up if it can't be discussed respectfully. -

That was when Wade was D-Aid, D-Wheel, all of the names associated with flopping. He did change his ways, though. Who remembers my art? http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-ash1/v65/216/56/502396652/n502396652_29158_680.jpg -
The thing that Kyle is speaking of...it would apply if you guys changed your host files when we moved servers. I know 2-3 people did, just don't remember which ones. Otherwise, it takes a bit for your computer to recognize the new location of the site...and since we were moved to a new IP due to the attacks, that's the result.

ISO LeBron, ISO Wade. It's Cleveland, with more scoring superstar power through 48 minutes, less frontcourt defense. Once you get Haslem back, it'll be like having Varejao as a defensive four, and you'll be even more like the Cavs. The only thing this team does better than the Cavs is get up the court on a break. If they don't get those turnovers, though...they are the Cavs, setting up isolations for one superstar, and feeding the shooters out of penetrations OR star-gazing as LeBron (or Wade, sometimes) gets to the rim and goes to the line. If LeBron and Wade weren't so similar, you could probably draw up a few offensive sets that would work, and one of them could play off the ball effectively...but the only time those two are going to play off of each other is on the break. We'll find out even more in late April. Their play, against elite defensive teams in a seven-gamer, will show us if they are a Cleveland clone, or the real thing.

The explosion can be worse than anything that has happened so far. This is not good, at all. -
They finally have a defensive anchor. Their defense has dropped off a bit, though. At one point, they were top six in the league (possibly better, but that's just where they were when I checked in earlier in the season). When you have a legit primary option, shooters, and defense...you're going to win games. Experience helps, and they have it. Carlisle isn't a no-name coach. They have the ingredients to cause damage in the playoffs. Do I think they'll beat the Lakers? Probably not...and that's me trying to stay unbiased. However, it wouldn't be a reach to say they can get to the WCF, and take the Lakers to seven, assuming Drew is in and out of the lineup all series. If he's playing to his potential, and able to stay in the game and out of foul trouble, it's a different story.

I don't think anyone said the referees were the reason why we were out-rebounded. Are you telling me that those fouls I mentioned weren't fouls? Plus, the Boston Celtics are 29th in the NBA in RPG, just as they were last season, when they went to the Finals. Winning or losing the rebounding game doesn't determine the actual game.

The quality of the game would decrease. Adding a four or five-pointer would give players reason to take those shots not only at the end of games, but during them as well. Think of teams being down by 15, a few seconds left in the 3rd quarter, players pulling up for halfcourt shots. Or, with about three minutes left in the game and down 10 (teams have come back from that)...just wouldn't make much sense.

Wow man, 109 quakes (aftershocks) since the 8.9 hit. Out of those 109, there have been 19 of them that are a 6.0 or greater, and 100 of them a 5.0 or greater, one being a 7.1 as well. :o -
It was a bad shot, unless Wade was in his jersey. Bryant has done that quite a bit, and gotten the call (probably notorious for it, really). Re-watching it, Wade's arms were draped over Bryant's at that split second, and Kobe rose up for the shot and was hit pretty good, plus a slight bump. I'll put it this way: it makes no sense for Kobe to miss a shot THAT FAR OFF unless he's blocked or fouled, and Wade didn't block that shot. I mean, I don't even think I could miss that badly, even with someone in my face. Given the fact that it's a pro player, and Kobe Bryant, you'd have to foul the hell out of him. It was about as bad as that obvious foul Wade committed prior to Kobe losing the ball out of bounds, near the end of the game. I don't normally blame the refs, and I think the Lakers should never lose the rebounding game against the Heat (or any team in the league, for that matter), and Bryant getting ripped by Wade was HUGE for the Heat (and not a foul), but there were two fouls on Wade that were not called, an illegal screen on LeBron, and an undisputed goaltend by Ilgauskas...all of these things happening in the closing minute or two.
-
That wasn't the shot, but that went uncalled as well.
-
Even Wade admitted it, and it was obviously a foul. Oh well. We'll take care of it soon, or someone in the East will.

Yes. 2010 CLE 102, LAL 87 (15 point loss, first meeting on Christmas) CLE 93, LAL 87 (6-point loss, second meeting in Cleveland) 2011 MIA 96, LAL 80 (16-point loss, first meeting on Christmas) MIA 94, LAL 88 (6-point loss, second meeting in Miami) Same teams, really.

What happened to Trevor Ariza?

Very good 3rd or 4th option player, spot-up shooter, that can focus primarily on defense...that's about it. Once you put the ball in his hands, you're turning him into an average offensive player with inconsistent defense. -

Wow man...this is terrible. It's painful seeing those cars trying to drive away from the water (and people running), and they don't make it. That footage is just crazy. -
Only a couple of times. There were a few screens, so I can't fault him for that. For the most part, Kobe played very good defense all game long. Same for Ron, really. Can't say the same for ignorant Gasol, who got LIT UP by Bosh. I'll only blame Kobe for a couple of dumb shots down the stretch, going cold a bit earlier, and the steal by Wade (which wasn't really Bryant's fault, more due to Wade playing very good defense).
