I'm up for whatever. We need more discussion on this. I mean, the idea is to modify this the way the community would like to have it because, obviously, it's member-generated (and, technically, everything on OTR is...but the success of KIR depends heavily on our members...whether they participate and ask questions, or simply ignore it altogether).

Super Bowl XLV: Pittsburgh vs. Green Bay
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in NFL Gameday Archives
I wonder how Grant and Finley feel right now...of course they are happy, but deep down, do they feel a bit irrelevant? -
Key words for "when Al Davis goes."

Haha, well, I'm sure I could edit all of that...but it would take a bit more effort because I'd have to edit the entire topic table through the database (because the edit time is on the post), and Kyle would also be able to see mod logs of the post edit to begin with. I actually changed my pick to Atlanta for a while, because I didn't think Aaron Rodgers would be back after the second hit...but once he came back, I put all of my chips in again...the Packers' defense was really the deciding factor, as long as they had Jennings, Driver and Nelson getting footballs tossed to them by Rodgers.

I had to bump this because I seriously didn't think I'd know anything about football this season. If it was basketball, it would be much different...but I got that win in the Pick'em contest, and I got the SB picks right. I usually don't pay that much attention to the sport, but this is probably the first year I really started cracking down and watching almost every game.

Driver and Woodson, the PERCEPTION is that they TAPPED out!!

Ouch...this is going to be easy. http://i54.tinypic.com/15ft8h1.jpg http://lockersmash.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/Da-Bears-2010.png Thanks for the indirect shout-out in your topic. We know we can always count on you to make these useless threads every week or so. -
Ray Allen commits to 3 point shootout contest
Real Deal replied to The Regime's topic in Boston Celtics Team Forum
Maybe so, can't remember. I could've sworn I heard that two players from the same team can't participate in the contest, but I don't know. -
I agree with most, but ESPN is also riding Griffin because he's doing things no rookie has done since Shaq and Jordan, in regards to some of his individual performances. He already set the rookie consecutive double-double record as well, and he's a threat for a triple-double more than any other big in the NBA, the way he's passing the ball. LeBron wasn't all just dunks, either. He takes over games. He's a superstar. If we were talking about someone like James White, dunking the ball 1-2 times a game and averaging something like 5 PPG on 40% FG, nothing else...it would be different...but ESPN has been all over Griffin for the same reason they were with LeBron, and it's not just about those highlights.

...lol. I hope you're kidding. http://www.wcbias.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/kingjames.jpg http://media.cleveland.com/startingblocks/photo/lebron-james-jim-grayjpg-942fd231d1cb539e_large.jpg http://www.blogcdn.com/nba.fanhouse.com/media/2009/06/0617_lebron_tmz.jpg http://cdn0.sbnation.com/imported_assets/310120/news_lebron-james-check-my-stats-1.jpg http://www.quadratix.org/wp-content/gallery/tats/lebron-james-tattoo-001-back-chosen-one-small.jpg http://meetthadealer.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/alg_lebron_heat.jpg

Doesn't look too good, honestly. Even something like that could lead to ruptured discs. Hope he's okay. And yeah...weird game so far. Arenas shouldn't be playing, either.

Ray Allen commits to 3 point shootout contest
Real Deal replied to The Regime's topic in Boston Celtics Team Forum
I didn't think he could do that. Max of one player per team? -
Nobody should've picked Belfort for this fight. It's going to take someone like GSP to jump into the weight class and take out Silva, and I'm not even sure of that.

Get a little nervous?
-
...a Wolves' first-rounder? So Minny trades that, and Brewer, for basically Randolph and an expiring?
-
Not much going on with it, seems like the more popular members have already had their turn (a few are still waiting)...so should we keep it running, modify it a bit to work in a different way, or what?

Forgot to reply to this, sorry... There were a few broken tables in the database, so it was a five-minute repair. If you run across any other problems, let me know.

The majority of the people he ran over were far from the vehicle before he floored it. If he ran over a couple that were trying to pull him out and beat him to death, it's a different story...but he floored it, then swerved and drilled 20-30 people that had no idea he was going to hit them.

Raja is always trying to get under someone's skin...but JR shouldn't have broke down so easily. It was obviously an F-2. Al Jefferson is toying with Nene, by the way.

Gilbert's plan was to get the top pick in the draft. I think that was clear once LeBron took off. Saying that the Cavaliers would win before LeBron did...I don't see how he expected it unless he saw something in Harrison Barnes or Kyrie Irving (or whoever was the consensus #1 pick at the time, since it has changed over and over again). Cleveland didn't start off that bad, actually. They were a bubble playoff team until Varejao went out, and teams started to figure them out, not to mention the duration of the season starts to kick in and take effect (which is why I HATE when people bring up teams winning without superstars, because it wouldn't be the case once you play 40+ games in that state). The Cavaliers came out of the gates with no true plan. Nobody knew who was going to be their primary option, and teams didn't know what to expect. Once teams started to see how they were going to run their offense, and when guys like Hickson and Jamison started to feel the burn of an increased role, things started to turn sour. Blame LeBron, blame the season, the players, and the rest of the league. That's just how it works when you walk into a season without a legitimate primary scoring option.

Man...I don't think that was a Flagrant on Blake. He had his arms straight up, and if anything, he was going for the ball. Horford made both frees anyway, but still...
