Jordan had eight 40+ point games during the season, with one 50+ point game (53 vs. Hill and the Pistons). He struggled a bit against Payton in the Finals, where Chicago would suffer only their second two-game losing streak of the year, but the Bulls capped off the season with a title, and a fourth Finals MVP for Mike. Greatest team ever? How long will we have to wait before another team wins at least 70 games? I'm curious as to how many people were actually watching basketball religiously during this season. I saw a ton of those Bulls games on WGN.
  2. I think he should be sent to prison and forced to have "baby killer" tattooed to his forehead.
  3. I should've mentioned...a really good way to do this quickly is to pick a division (ex. AFC West) and then start selecting the boxes of those topics that are about the Raiders or those other three unimportant teams nobody cares about in the division. You can then hit the next page button after you do that, still having those selected, and go through that page, so on and so forth until you've selected probably 15-20, then go to the bottom again and use the drop-down to move them all at once.
  4. Yeah, same way you'd expect a Jordan topic in the Bulls forum.
  5. Well, I'm not trying to say everyone should be like me. I run OTR because I'm obsessed with basketball, and that's basically it. I like to talk about it, learn about it, teach it, whatever...and it doesn't matter the team or player. I can go another 20 years plus doing this, as long as I'm in the middle of it, taking in and dishing out basketball knowledge. That's not originally why I put the board up back in 2005...but that's why I've actually kept it up for six years, and because of the posters that still frequent. If that means I'm the last one posting, on the last day, so be it...but being 27 years old, I don't party as much as I was when I was 19 or 20, watching games with a ton of friends and talking about them. I don't have high school or college. When something goes down, like a big trade, I would rather run to OTR and talk my ass off, and that's probably how it will always be. This topic wasn't created because I'm concerned about the site dying. I'm sure a few other site admins were stewing in that. It was created to poke at where we are in terms of activity, and how everyone else here feels about it, nothing more. Use the ideas? Sure, they will be considered, as always...but it's not that big of a deal. We are just fine where we are today. OTR has the best basketball minds among all other message boards out there, period. Someone can argue it...but they are wrong. That's what I care about. More activity means more distribution of that knowledge, which points to a growing community of knowledgeable members...more is always better. I'm thankful for what we have today, but you guys know me...I reach until my arms fall off.
  6. Ajinca will shoot lights out for you guys this year. Wherever you have lights, he's going to hit them.
  7. By the way, a lot of the first page has topics that should stay where they are (ex. Athletes playing XBOX, Favorite Halftime Show, iBoldin's ratings). I've moved a few already. But, the ones that are geared towards certain teams or players, or those that talk about college football teams or players...those are the ones that need moved.
  8. http://www.cafepress.com/onthereal Haha...still up. Needs an update, though.
  9. I'm going to just take the first three (Fish, Cavamatic and Chosen). What you guys want to do is figure out how many you're going to move (how many pages), and go into it one at a time. Move whatever you can (ex. 5 pages today), then come into this topic and let the other two know you're done for today. The next one can start moving his 5 pages, and the process repeats until the topics are all moved. Otherwise, there's a potential you'll be moving topics at the same time...and it'll screw up what you're doing. You guys can talk about how you're going to do that (the order, how many pages at once, etc) right now, and I'll make you three temp. mods. You'll only have moving rights. Later on, as I said, we can talk about two permanent NFL moderators. Also, do not check the option to leave a link in the place of a moved topic.
  10. I can't use AIM on my work laptop, which is what I'm usually always on (right now, also). What do you need?

  11. I'll never move to vBulletin. I'd rather just shut the site down for good. It's an expensive version of phpBB.
  12. I need three guys to be temporary NFL mods, just to move these topics into the appropriate team forums, or into college/other football forums, or to leave them under the NFL forum. This may take a day, maybe a few days...no idea, but it would be nice to have the help. After that, we'll have two NFL moderators, which we'll talk about later on. Doesn't matter if you're a team leader on the site, or what...just make sure you know a LOT about the NFL so you don't have to open up EVERY topic to see what team it belongs to (ex. know that "Todd Haley snubs McDaniels" is an AFC West topic). If you aren't sure, open the topic...doesn't take long...but it's important to get these moved into the right forums.
  13. 1) Turning the ball over We do it too much, and it's probably our biggest problem right now. Bryant turns it over three times a game, and guys like Gasol and Odom seem to do it at the worst possible time during the game. 2) Perimeter defense needs work We lean on our help defense way too much, which gets our bigs in foul trouble and gives Kobe the green light to roam all over the place, instead of him having to defend his own guy. When he (Bryant) has to close out on his man, he's in the paint or over by Fisher's assignment, and he just lets the shot go up. It doesn't help that Kobe's knee looks like a grapefruit, and Ron is playing the worst defense of his career. 3) No physical play This is pointed at you, Gasol. Instead of fading away on your hooks, draw some contact first, gain some space. You aren't Kareem. Or, dunk the ball when you're under the rim. Don't hold the ball for 15 seconds when you get it in the post, either...teams aren't that scared of you, and if they don't double immediately, they aren't going to double. Play like you're a power forward, not a fragile forward. 4) Poor play from two starters Ron Artest and Derek Fisher suck. 5) Other than Odom, no bench Buzz Lightyear (aka Steve Blake) is worthless so far. Shannon Brown is getting worse from where he was in November. Luke Walton should've retired. Caracter plays when we're up 40 or down 40. Not even sure who else to talk about because everyone else is either injured (Barnes) or 50 years old (Ratliff).
  14. I'm getting sick of Phil trying to play Walton, Blake and Brown together. It's the worst trio of players you can have on the court at once.
  15. Don't tell Blake Griffin what to do. He'll become a free agent and play for the Lakers if he wants to.
  16. Our biggest concern is our defense right now. We are the best offensive team in the NBA. I don't want to bring in any other matadors.
  17. Keep in mind that these videos create new topics as well, so I'm cool with uploading a bunch of mixes and highlights, all of that, but let's make sure they are discussion worthy, fellas.
  18. Yep, it was back in the early 90s against the Bucks, shot 21-26 FGA and around 20 FTA (don't remember that number). But, I listed "more than 62" because he may have seen McGrady drop 62 in 2003 or 2004, whenever that was.
  19. Your "value" to a team drops when you have other MVP candidates playing along your side. Shaq wasn't going to rack up MVP awards with Kobe next to him (and vice-versa), the same way LeBron shouldn't rack up his with Wade and Bosh. Unless, of course, the MVP award is given to the best player in the NBA...and then you can make a case for James...but that's not the definition of the award, or else Bryant, Shaq, Jordan and Duncan would've dominated the list of MVP winners.
  20. That's better. Jennings isn't big enough, nor does he have the Webb/Robinson athleticism and strength, to pull off something flashy AND still complete the dunk.
  21. Sometimes, when he looks down or makes an odd face, it looks like Brett...but other times, you can tell he's younger, and his eyes are much different. Funny though...especially the part about disappearing.
  22. Hate to break it to you, but FGA already take into account the threes attempted. And, when you speak of "how many shots it took," you don't include the free throws because they aren't a part of determining a player's efficiency, in that manner. There are many bad defenses in the NBA, every season. When have you seen a player, other than Bryant, score more than 62 points? I know you were too young to see Jordan's 69 or 64, D-Rob's 71, and besides Bryant's 81, 65 and 62, there's nobody else that has done it. And that's just asking for anyone scoring over 62 points.
  23. There has to be more to it, if it's true. The Pacers wouldn't trade a first just for Randolph. That pick could be lottery.
