  2. Spend money wisely. I tend to blow my cash on things I really don't need, and it's not like I'm making a lot of money to begin with. Jess needs a new car, so I'll look into that. and our lease is going to be up in August, so I'll save up some cash and, if she finds a permanent job, I'll put a down payment on a house. I'll dive into the new year with all of those plans, then go out and make things difficult for myself by February, like I always do. My PS3 is about dead...so I'm sure I'll buy a new one, even though I shouldn't. I want a new TV, and I'll probably look to get one before the basketball season is over with...who knows.
  3. I don't really know why, but I've never, ever liked using it. Just feels like an unnatural act, or something.
  4. Currently, I'm not a fan of anyone. I guess if I have to pick one guy, it's Randy Orton...but he's really not enough to get me back into the wrestling world. All-time, it's hard to pick just one. I've always had a variety of favorites, very good technical wrestlers mixed in with the guys that work the crowd, then the dominant freak athletes. FIRST TIER (no particular order) Ric Flair - greatest "wrestler" of all-time, in my opinion The Rock - greatest on the mic, defined entertainment Goldberg - one of the most dominant, exciting Shawn Michaels - charismatic, great on the mic, great all-around Triple H - see Shawn Michaels SECOND TIER (no particular order) Stone Cold - him and Rock, and D-X, were the attitude era Mr. Perfect - should've held the WWF championship at least once in his career Ultimate Warrior - Goldberg on acid and roids Brock Lesnar - see Goldberg Sting - he and Flair made WCW Hulk Hogan - did too much to be left off any list I know there will be a lot of you that leaves Hogan off the list, and I also realize that some of you didn't actually get to see Hogan, live, in the late 80s and early 90s. While most of his matches were all punches, test-of-strengths and bodyslams, there were a lot of strong, emotional storylines he played a huge part in, especially with Slaughter during the Gulf War (which was crazy) and Savage and Elizabeth's relationship. He also took part in three of the greatest matches over those two decades: Hogan/Andre, Hogan/Warrior and Hogan/Goldberg, two that he dropped the title in. He didn't have many moves in the ring, but he had an overwhelming amount of support, probably more than any other wrestler in history...and, with one legdrop, he became one of the most hated of all-time. That's extremely hard to accomplish. Putting Hogan in the second tier doesn't mean he's not among the top five greatest. For me, personally, I liked those top five better.
  5. Haha, the Mayan calendar ends. Apocalypse. Doomsday. Destruction. Armageddon. The end of OTR. :o
  6. It's going to be destroyed on December 21st, 2012 anyway, so what's the point? You heard it here first.
  7. I might as well put that, actually. I usually open in a new window because, most of the time, I already have about five tabs up, but I'm pretty sure a lot of you don't browse like I do. Good point.
  8. Stupid Colts. They just HAD to win this game by two points.
  9. I can draw many conclusions from this picture. 1) USA is heterosexual, Canada is homosexual. 2) We have a bigger package. 3) "Hudson Bay" looks like it's been "wrecked" over and over again. ^_^
  10. It would be nice, but I can't control their links. It's basically me sticking their site in another window, on OTR. If you go to that particular page, you'll see that most of those links open in the same window, and unless I'm the one coding their site (or I request they change it just for us, lol), it's going to happen in the frame as well. Hold SHIFT before you click a link. It's really easy. I added that to the bottom of each frame, so you guys can remember.

  12. There's always going to be a consequence to any action, regardless if Griffin was hurt or not. A lot of people think it was inappropriate and an overreaction, and they think less of Miller now. The suspension. ESPN was all over it. Twitter was on it. Had Miller taken a different route, different consequences would follow...and probably less relevant. If Miller went to grab a wet towel from the bench and snapped it at Griffin's leg, or hit him in the back with a foam baseball bat...doesn't matter. The potential injury wasn't the only reason why Miller was stupid for what he did. The "overreaction" has nothing to do with the potential injury. Miller overreacting has everything to do with the fact that Blake pushed him like he would push someone like Andrew Bynum in the back, and if Miller had any self control, he would've called him out on it with no intent of fighting, or just got more physical under the rim, like a player of Kobe or Wade's caliber would do. My final thought on the matter: would Kobe or Wade act that way? Would they retaliate the same way Miller did? Not a chance. Maybe Kobe back when he was immature, but not today, as a veteran of the game. There's no reason to do what he did, and that's why he was suspended. The NBA agrees. The second part of his quote doesn't even make sense, because he doesn't really know what to say about it. Camby is a vet...supposedly, only rooks are protected...but not in that instance? He doesn't have anything against Blake being aggressive, but he shoulder-blocks him? There wasn't a flagrant foul called, so doesn't that mean he DID get away with it during the game? He thinks the league should suspend Griffin also, or...? He has no idea what to say, how to explain it. If the league was more physical, he would be close to retirement because bigs would be laying him out more often, like they did in the 80s. In fact, if the league was more physical, Craig Smith would've clotheslined Miller, McHale-Rambis style, later on in the game, to send a message...and I'm sure Miller wouldn't have liked that. Of course, that would've been okay, because the NBA needs to be more physical on plays away from the ball, so crazy headcases like Kevin Garnett can Rudy T some small point guard in the jaw if that player has been too physical with him all game long (wow, sounds ridiculous as I type it).
  13. Nobody is playing the "woulda-coulda" game. The discussion is asking if Miller overreacted or not. If we're not allowed to discuss something that has happened because "it's over and done with," what was the point of discussing anything related to Johnson and Finnegan? Why did anyone talk about Melo when he tagged Collins in the jaw? That was really no big deal, right, because it was Collins that threw Smith to the floor by the neck, and Melo was just doing something that Smith should've done. At the end of that fight, nobody was hurt, so for what Melo did...I love it?
  14. Pretty interesting, haha. Would never make it, though, if this is serious.
  15. I guess so. Here in about five minutes, I'm going to get into my car and go drive up northwest a little, over by the Country Club, and just stand there and scream because I'm in the center of the US.
  16. So, instead, you're going to run and shoulder-block him into the stands, blindsiding him? That's more likely the reason why Miller would get his ass kicked. Players get in each others' faces every game. They mouth off. They push each other around slightly. In all of your years of watching the league, how many times have you seen a player shoulder-block another? What is more likely to tick you off as a professional: someone doing that to you, or just mouthing off? You guys are making Griffin's pushes seem like a big, big deal...like a Ben Wallace and Ron Artest push. Not even close to it. Miller overreacted. If he was such a bad ass, he would've just started pushing him back and standing up to him, not blindsiding him. And, yes, you can break your arm by falling to your side, just like you can break your finger by catching a basketball. Look how Wade dislocated his shoulder. Players shatter their knees by stepping on the feet of others. It's not a surprise, at all, and Miller's hit belongs in the NFL or NHL, not in the NBA.
  17. Does anyone know? http://www.google.com/maps Go there, and immediately start zooming in using the zoom bar to the left (click it and pull up).
  18. I would confront him about it, like a man, to his face...not shoulder-block him when he's not paying attention, with everyone around. What Miller did was stupid. If he did that to Ron Artest back in 2004, he would've gotten his ass kicked as he threw punches and racked up a costly suspension (both suspended). If the hit causes Griffin to fall on his arm, breaking it, the suspension he received would be longer, and there would also be a fine. Pushes in the back happen all the time. Both times, Blake was clearing out for a board. He didn't front him and push him in the chest, asking for a fight. He's not Garnett.
  19. LOL you cheaters. Man, I can't get back to 60+ meters. I keep landing on the back of my head on 20-25 meters. Done with this garbage. Oh, and for anyone who gets to 50 meters, there's a hurdle. My left leg kicked it over, I did the splits, then I threw my right leg back and got back up, balanced, and started running again (and when you start running, you get enough elevation to jump over it as long as it's laying down, lol).
  20. Yeah, combined with the lockout, it just wouldn't be a wise decision. I don't think the lockout alone would keep him out of the draft, though. When you're a top 3-5 pick, you're packing up and heading to the pros when you can (most will, anyway). But the injury will most definitely hurt him in the draft, if he misses the entire season. He would still be a lottery pick, because teams have already seen enough of him...but there's that uncertainty that will linger, and there will be a few teams that decide to pass him up for someone like Perry Jones, Terrence Jones, Jared Sullinger, Harrison Barnes, Derrick Williams and maybe even Brandon Knight, especially if he doesn't come back at all, even during the tourney.
  21. He wanted too much money, was fouling almost seven times in an average of 36 minutes of play, had trouble shooting the ball in the third season with us, and he didn't play much defense (by the numbers, he's playing even worse on the defensive end in his last three years -- with GSW and NYK). The celebrating became a distraction at some points in the season, also...sort of like those for the Cavaliers. Had we known we would've needed a big man DESPERATELY this season, I'm sure we would've tried harder to keep him...but $4.5 million was a helluva step up from where he was with us, and we had already made that mistake with Walton and Radmanovic, and decided that Vujacic would be our third mistake involving overpaid players.
  22. I can ask questions whenever I want. 1) Red or blue? 2) Who are your two favorite Clippers on the current roster? 3) Who don't you like on the roster, and why? 4) If the Clippers were to relocate away from LA, where would you want to see them go? 5) Soccer or basketball? 6) Other than the Clippers, what team would you want to see Corey Maggz play for? 7) What one part of Maggette's game would you want to see improved? 8) Out of nowhere, you're required to change your OTR name. What would you change it to? 9) Still chasing women, or did you find the one? 10) Scale of 1-10, how much do you hate the Adidas logo?
  23. Not necessarily a detrimental blow to Duke, although this could rule them out as the hand-down favorites this year...but a big one dealt to Irving, that's for sure. Guess who won't be entering the 2011 Draft?
