  1. You would suck as a Lakers fan. You would've NEVER survived our bad season in 2004-05, or Kobe's trial, guaranteed. You can't even handle someone criticizing LeBron, for ANY reason, ever, and you would seriously fight anyone to the death, just like some of those old Cavaliers fans. From now on, I'll be really nice, and I won't say things to make you upset and throw childish temper-tantrums. Nobody better, never, ever call the Heat the Cavaliers again, not on my watch. The HEAT (non-Cavs) are so good. They won tonight, despite dropping a huge lead (probably because the Cats started playing the best basketball they've played in the history of their franchise), and Wade didn't contribute because he had the flu. Bosh played really well. LeBron was on cruise control. Spo should be fired. This team could be so damn good with Riley, probably top of the conference right now.
  2. One of the worst games I've seen all season long, out of all games played so far. Lopez and Harris were off, big time, and what happened with Favors? Evans was missing shots and turning the ball over, and Cousins is terrible.
  3. Garbage game by the Lakers. They ditched the triangle way too much. We won, and it was somewhat of a comfortable win after a while, but come on. Barnes was fantastic...shot 7-7 FG (5-5 3PT), with 5-5 FT, seven boards, six assists, two steals and no turnovers. :o Kobe shot horrible, didn't have a good game. Caracter with five turnovers in just 10 minutes? What? I didn't even realize he had five turnovers...just saw that he was playing bad out there. We need to step it up.
  4. Why would that even piss you off? The Cavs were winning 60+ games a year, with LeBron owning the city and putting up near triple-doubles. They were in the Finals in 2007. I could've called you guys the Atlanta Hawks. You have the same record as they do.
  5. Bryant. He gets the job done, best overall player, no holes in his game. Until he shows true decline, or until LeBron develops a post game and has 24 feet of offense with no limitations, and shows he can play better on-ball defense, he's not the better player. If James wasn't so dominant going to the rim and getting his calls, he wouldn't even be in the discussion, hate to say it.
  6. Just checked the deleted topics/posts forum (it's basically a trash can). I don't have any deleted posts in there, from you, since one from the Wizards/Raptors topic, where you replied to BasX about creating a draft topic (maybe a double post, I don't know). Plus, the mod logs (including DL's) show nothing.
  7. Hmm...maybe. We were scheduled to move to a brand new server in the middle of the month, sometime in the middle of the night. I'm not really sure. The move is a great, great thing though. We needed it, desperately. I'll check and see if we've been moved yet.
  8. By the way, I do have to admit that I absolutely hated Ron, Jermaine and S-Jax after that incident. I thought the fan was stupid for throwing the beer, but as an athlete, you have no reason to go into the stands like that. Everyone was putting out that rumor that he was going to be dealt to the Lakers, and I wanted it...but that was a couple of years later, and I was over what happened (maybe because I wasn't a Pistons fan, haha).
  9. You can do a search through the member link under the banner. http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/index.php?app=members&section=view&module=list Hit the Advanced Filter button, then go down and select the team rep and search for those members.
  10. It wouldn't be a problem if Oden was still playing, and would see him later in the season. If someone did this to me while I was injured, and was cracking jokes and turning it into something it shouldn't be, he'd get hit in his jaw. Fans are told not to wish injury on anyone, or make light of an injury. Maybe the NBA needs more of that, though. Maybe we should wish LeBron shatters his kneecap and Sam Bowie's his career.
  11. The expectations for you here are different than they are anywhere else. We're not about taking shots at members and cracking jokes all the time. There's a reason why we have less activity, but it's a good reason. My focus has always centered around discussion, and I take pride in being able to say that we don't have members who are here just to stir up trouble. I don't think we have a single member that does that. I don't expect everyone to like OTR, but I expect everyone here to contribute in a positive way. We aren't a year old...we've been around since 2005. We may set the bar high, but we jump pretty high to begin with.
  12. Treat him like a regular member, people. I've given a few of you second chances here through the years, so do what's right.
  13. That was just seven games. I don't take a seven-game season into consideration, really. Richard Hamilton was averaging 30+ for a few games to start the year two or three seasons ago, looked like an MVP candidate. I doubt Ron would've maintained those numbers, especially the 49-50% shooting.
  14. Well, he used to be my second favorite player in the NBA. Then he declined to shake hands during the playoff series loss, and he wore a shirt that asked us to check his $tats. Before the Decision, that was enough for me to wish he loses every single game for the rest of his career. From top of the mountain, to crashing at the bottom. It's little things like this that cause people to turn against him. Oden has a long road ahead of him, and his career is in jeopardy. LeBron shouldn't crack a joke, especially when it concerns his age (or, the age he looks), because the multiple injuries to athletes are usually directly related to age. While I know that's not why he made that joke (I'm more upset that he found humor before sorrow), others will think calling him "Olden" is taking a shot at his multiple knee injuries. He's a screw-up, simple as that. I don't feel sorry for LeBron, at all, because everything he says and does will be looked at with a bigger microscope because he's a superstar and the future of the league, just like Wade and his divorce, just like Bryant and his trial and him promoting COD. Problem is, LeBron is bringing this on himself. He's making the choice to be arrogant and a clown. It's the same guy that quoted (re-tweeted) hundreds of Twitter followers when they were giving him props for his play, calling him the greatest, saying he will show up his haters. He deserves every bit of criticism he gets.
  15. He won a championship by being a defensive beast against guys like Pierce and Durant. That's much more than what he ever did anywhere else in his career. He actually put up good numbers in Sacramento as a primary option, and shot better than he ever did in his career. Nearly reached career highs in steals and assists, averaged over his career average in rebounds. That fight didn't change the player, it changed the person. Age and injuries have changed the player.
  16. Favorable? Brown will probably look to play Tyrus a little more tonight, and he's no scrub on defense. Putting Thomas on Bosh, Jackson on LeBron and Wallace on Wade (or switch Jackson to Wade)...I'm not sure how easy this game is going to be for the Heat. Charlotte can't score, though, so that's probably what it will come down to. Charlotte's two weaknesses are at point and center. Same with Miami's. It'll come down to defense. Charlotte could have some unexpected scoring up front, but I doubt they will recognize that.
  17. Kevin Durant is currently a game-time decision tonight, says he's "50-50 for the game tonight."
  18. I wouldn't say that. LeBron has done many more things to give reason to others to hate on him.
  19. They are now discussing this on Outside the Lines... Like I said on Facebook...why not go after all actors who portray the "bad guy" in movies, the ones that kill others? Is Tom Hanks a bad influence for his military scenes in Forrest Gump? Stallone in Rambo? Jim Carrey in Fun With Dick and Jane? Get rid of water guns? No more fake weapons on Halloween? Shut up.
  20. My favorite members are all of you, or else I would've banned you for not being Lakers fans. Gonna consider giving everyone here an admin spot.
  21. I'm sure others can make an argument for Magic to this day (even though I don't think so), but how was Larry Bird more dominant than Bryant? As far as Magic goes, he was not the defensive player Bryant was, not the dominant scorer. The fast break is where he excelled, and that was partially due to his all-star teammates.
  22. Haha, a typo. For one, Olden isn't a word, so a phone wouldn't auto-correct to that last name. Two, typos usually happen with letters on the same row. You use the same finger for the first two letters, but you have to move your finger back down off the "O" to hit the second letter. Why a second letter? Finally, fans have called him Olden as a joke before, so it's a big coincidence that LeBron's typo would be that. Please. LeBron is just an idiot. Crack jokes when you're playing him and he's able to run up and down the floor, not when he just found out he's done for the year and probably inching closer to being done for his career.
  23. Gotta rant. If Drew hurries back, he will get the West center vote, at least as a reserve (because it looks like Yao will probably get the starter vote). How the hell is Derek Fisher on the list? Derek Fisher Mehmet Okur Yao Ming DeMarcus Cousins Brendan Haywood Robin Lopez Hedo Turkoglu Grant Hill Thabo Sefolosha Baron Davis Corey Brewer Ben Wallace Nazr Mohammed JaVale McGee Thaddeus Young Marvin Williams Linas Kleiza Drew Gooden Boris Diaw Antawn Jamison Corey Maggette John Salmons Gilbert Arenas Rip Hamilton Mike Bibby Mario Chalmers DeMar DeRozan What are ANY of these people doing on the all-star ballot? Six Hawks on the ballot? Jason Terry is averaging 19/5 on nearly 53% FG, 47% 3PT, and he's not on the list? They put Baron Davis in there, but not Eric Bledsoe, who is producing 10/4/5 on 47% FG (tops Baron in all of those stats)? Shannon Brown is averaging 11 PPG on 50% FG, shooting 49% from three and 93% FT, playing much better defense than Fisher. How is Fisher in this? Gallinari gets in over Chandler? How does Serge Ibaka get left off after putting up 12/8 on 59% FG, playing better than Kaman? No chance Shard should get the nod over VC. Richard Jefferson? Sonny Weems should be considered over DeRozan, and Kleiza is straight trash. Paul Millsap...wow. He's doing better than Al Jefferson and Andrei Kirilenko, both. JaVale McGee, but no Blatche? What the hell has McGee done this season? Sorry, but this list is terrible.
