The Pats are going to have to wait and hope none of those bottom-feeders (or, well, every other team in the league) doesn't pick him up off waivers first. Don't forget, waiver order goes from worst record to best before Moss becomes an unrestricted FA.

It lasts until November 2nd, so lucky you.

Are the Grizzlies doomed next season?
Real Deal replied to La Bomba's topic in Memphis Grizzlies Team Forum
Nah, he won't put up those numbers, but that's where Mayo comes into play. It's about time for OJ to step up. Losing Randolph means the Grizzlies will need an offensive threat to take over the games, and Mayo's phone is ringing off the hook. Whether he does that or not, who knows...but he's got the talent. -

Cavs Getting Calls About Varejao
Real Deal replied to The Regime's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
If they want to play less defense, they'll deal him. -
Are the Grizzlies doomed next season?
Real Deal replied to La Bomba's topic in Memphis Grizzlies Team Forum
Priority #1 is Gasol. Randolph getting $17 million? If the Grizzlies go back to that, they deserve to rebuild. Plus, who knows how that will end up...the new CBA could ruin it for him. With the way Arthur is playing (and it's only three games, but still), I wouldn't be too worried about Randolph at this point. Marc is the guy that needs to stay in Memphis. -
Kobe: Knee Is '100 Percent'
Real Deal replied to The Regime's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
He's lying. You can tell mostly on his lateral quickness (and Bryant hasn't had much of that over the last few seasons to begin with, but it's very evident this year) and a really flat shot due to not getting that extra lift (as mentioned already). -
Do You Ever Get Mad At Your Teams' Fan Base?
Real Deal replied to The Lone Granger's topic in General NBA Discussion
LOL, I get as mad as every non-Lakers fan gets with our fanbase. -
Pacers Will Run Offense Through Hibbert
Real Deal replied to The Lone Granger's topic in Indiana Pacers Team Forum
The better he gets in the post, the more the Pacers want to run that offense through him. He needs to tell himself, "I'm going to do everything possible to model my game after Hakeem Olajuwon." He's definitely not going to touch what Hakeem accomplished, skill-wise, but he can be versatile enough (at the five) to be great for his team on both ends of the floor. -
Your Favorite Moment(s) as a NBA Fan ?
Real Deal replied to Oliver P's topic in General NBA Discussion
1) 2000-2002 Lakers Dynasty This includes the 2001 Playoffs, when we went 15-1, and the 2000 19-game win streak that the Lakers ran off that was ALMOST a 31-game win streak (credit to the Wizards for screwing that up). Personally, I think Kobe and Shaq are, hands down, the greatest duo in the history of the game (Chicago had a bit more help outside of Jordan and Pip), and had it not been for Bryant missing those 16 games in 2000, the 67-win team would've hit 70+ wins on the season. 2) Kobe's 81 This was the first NBA game I listened to on the radio, believe it or not. I got a call from a friend who was watching it on a local station in LA, and he told me I needed to find it, somehow, because Bryant was in rage mode (lol...that's what we called his scoring outbursts that season). I didn't have LP that year, couldn't find a link to watch it, so I went to NBA.com and picked it up with an audio stream. It absolutely sucked not seeing it, but it was crazy hearing it go down, and I got to see the replay of it the next day. Not only did he drop 81, but he won the game after being down by a significant margin (20+). 3) 1995-1996 Bulls' 72-wins I don't have to go into detail about it. 4) Kobe's scoring streaks, game-winners and 35 PPG average If it wasn't four-consecutive 50+ point games (two of those being 60+), it was the 13-consecutive 35s, or the nine-consecutive 40s. The playoff run last season, 11 of 12 games at 30+ points after he was so bad for 4-5 games against the Thunder (because of the knee), just stunning. Averaging 40 in multiple months, putting up a 10+ PPG average in fourth quarters for an entire season. Averaging 35 PPG in a season, setting the record with 12 threes in a game, scoring 42 points in a half, outscoring Dallas 62-61 after three quarters, scoring nearly 60 in three quarters two other times (against Memphis and Washington), dropping two of the most amazing game-winning shots I've ever seen against Portland on the road, to win the division (this may be a top five moment, to be honest)...just too much to talk about. 5) 2009-2011 Lakers I should include this time frame because Kobe demanding that we bring in a contributing player has led to a potential dynasty, and bringing in Ron Artest has to be part of that high, especially seeing the way he celebrated after winning his ring (and his complete 180 and trying to repair his image). The last two seasons have been packed with memorable moments for me. HM) 1992-1993 Phoenix Suns Barkley's run at a title. Had the ball gone to Barkley at the end of Game 6, I think the Suns would be the 1993 NBA champs. Grant ended up blocking KJ on a drive to the rim, and that was all she wrote. At that age, I was the biggest CB34 fan on the Earth, and him getting that close was amazing (even though, deep down, I knew Chicago was going to rip his heart out). -
Roy Williams: Kitna 'Just As Good' As Romo
Real Deal replied to ChosenOne's topic in NFC Conference Discussion
Pretty obvious that Kitna is trash. Time to retire. -
Man, it's crazy trying to pass the ball on Hall of Fame. I don't know how good everyone is here, but good God...you really can't make a risky pass. Flashy and risky passes get picked off 99% of the time, for me.

Haha, dude, my brother and I were laughing about that the entire game. He ALMOST did it with "Matt Caaassel" also...but he didn't extend it long enough, and I was pretty disappointed.
-
I don't think so, because Gasol and Odom are fully capable of playing 40 minutes a game in the playoffs, as long as they don't get into foul trouble (doesn't happen much with Gasol). Phil will not hesitate to play Ron at the four, either...dude is too strong in the post. Glen Davis had trouble with him. We're 3-0 without Drew playing a single second this season. Not that big of a bite yet, but we can definitely maintain the top seed in the West without him because Gasol is a better center than he is a power forward (statistically), and Odom is playing amazing basketball right now. Most of our problems with centers came when Fisher, Farmar and Vujacic were allowing their man to blow past them for layups. Farmar is gone, Blake is playing heavy minutes for us, and Vujacic barely gets a chance to play now. Also, Powell was garbage on defense. He's history, and we have Caracter, who would rather foul than give up a dunk. Mbenga was a fouling machine, and one of the worst offensive players in the league, so we couldn't play him many minutes. He's gone, replaced by Theo, who has a higher IQ, better offensively, better defensively. If Bynum is injured for a fourth consecutive time by the time the playoffs roll around, it's not like he's been vital to our success to begin with. Over the last two playoff seasons he played for us, limited minutes and production, he wasn't that great of a defender, blowing help assignments here and there, and losing his own man frequently.
-
Bynum didn't log a single minute in the 2008 Playoffs. In 2009, he was playing injured. Check out his Finals stats...four of those five games, Drew was pretty bad. In fact, he had more bad games than good ones in the playoffs that season... http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/b/bynuman01/gamelog/2009 Last season's Finals, and the WCF, he was playing injured. Again, look at his lack of production in the last two games against Utah, a couple of games against Phoenix, and 3-4 games against Boston (including the last two games of the Finals, which were horrible). http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/b/bynuman01/gamelog/2010 A fully-healthy Drew does much, much better than that.

Every team...lol.

Minor addition, but it'll help the new members find out who all is here with them. Seems like everyone knows each other these days, haha. Thanks for all of the activity and recruiting, guys. It never goes unnoticed.

Ah, I remember you from RST. Good to see another Nuggets fan on board. Welcome to the best.
-
Go ahead and answer the questions when you get the chance to. I'll put out a new one quickly after.

OTR is going to be different than what you're used to, I'm assuming. I know you were at RST, so you've been around the block (ha). It's going to seem like we have 400 Knicks fans now. Anyway, you really will find a lot of people you know here, and you're going to find a lot of members who will debate you until your brain bleeds, haha. Welcome to the best.

If Boston happens to knock off Miami in a second round match-up, and Orlando advances to the ECF against Boston, they suddenly become contenders. LA was crushed by Denver in their 9th game of the season last year, 105-79. It was an issue, but we were without Gasol. So, we walked into the Christmas game, in LA, and were picked apart by the Cavaliers, 102-87, with a healthy roster. Three days later, the Suns beat us by 15. People were talking about how we were being exposed, and that it looked as if Denver, Dallas, or Phoenix were going to find their way into the WCF and defeat us. There were many that expected an upset in the first round, the way Bryant was playing in the second half of the season (with the injury) and the way our team finished the regular season (11-10 in our last 21). But, when JVG mentioned that the Magic were not a contender, he also mentioned (during the game) that the Heat were un-guardable. Not only that, but I'm sure you heard him say the Houston Rockets will upset the Lakers in the WCF this season, and go on to play the Heat in the Finals.
