  1. I wouldn't really say he's not a superstar just yet, nor would I consider him one. All-star player, for sure. Rose is going to need to play both ways, as a scorer and a facilitator, so this season, he'll need to find a balance. Expect it to be rough for a bit, especially without Boozer.
  2. I'd consider both CP3 and Deron superstars, actually.
  3. Boston seems to play really good against teams with a dominant superstar. Their help defense is excellent...makes Ray Allen look like Thabo Sefolosha. And, really, Allen's strongest defensive stand occurs when he's forcing his opponent into the help, so it makes sense. But, when you play someone like Cleveland...what player do you focus on locking up? Last year, it was LeBron. This year, you really don't know which player will go off for 15-20 points (at least not yet).
  4. If you stick Reggie Evans on a small team, give him 15 fouls and play him for 48 minutes a game, he would average 60 RPG.
  5. Blake has 4 offensive boards in the first six minutes of the game. WTF.
  6. Wow, I'm excited to see Griffin play all season long. Never been this excited about a Clippers player in my life (not even Corey Maggette, Shaliq).
  7. Right, but it's too early in the season to be fatigued, even if it's a back-to-back. Boston was cruising to a win last night, and really only played desperate for 75% of that second half. Either Boston has work to do, or Cleveland is better than many figured they would be. If Cleveland is a legit bottom-feeder in the East, Boston runs away with a win, easily.
  8. Man, noooo. Durant can't be hurt. That was a nasty fall.
  9. Whoa, I forgot all about Murphy. Didn't even realize he was sitting out.
  10. Durant's defense is almost as good as it was with Team USA this summer. Ah...and he's got three steals in the last minute and a half. He's also distributing the ball well...struggling when it comes to scoring, but he's doing what it takes to get the job done. Close game.
  11. Why is that? They've gone three seasons with Bynum hobbling around, playing injured in two playoff visits and missing one altogether, missing the second halves of seasons, and we have two rings and three Finals appearances out of it. And that's with DJ Mbenga being the only backup center. Ratliff was very good for us that first game, defensively. We don't need Dampier. He's a disaster...which is why no team wants him now.
  12. Haha, compared to what happened a year ago (the hack), this is absolutely nothing.
  13. How many games until Favors is inserted into the starting five? And, hey, look...Devin Harris is trying to win games now...lol.
  14. TEAMWORK BABY! This was [expletive]ing awesome.
  15. Superstars are starting all-stars (deserving starting all-stars) that can lead a legitimate team to 50+ wins OR produce off-the-chart numbers (because I wouldn't leave out guys like Kobe, who were averaging 35 points on a 42-45 win team). Players that you can build around and possibly win a championship with, or at least contend with. Superstars (Kobe) All-Stars (Gasol) Borderline All-Stars (Odom) Stars (Artest, Bynum) Role players (Fisher, Blake)
  16. Lakers (Kobe, Gasol, Bynum) Heat (James, Wade, Bosh) The Celtics could pull it off (Rondo and Garnett for sure) because they have that talent, but I don't know. Drew will need to come back by the first of December to get in, though. If he doesn't make it back for a while, maybe Odom can be considered?
  17. He forgot to add the part, "You get on TV by leading your team to 50-win seasons." Kevin Durant averaged more points (25) than he won games (23) in the 2008-09 season. Nobody cared, right? However, when he dropped 30 a game and won 50 games last year, all eyes shifted to his game and his team. Bosh thinks people are dumb. I know what Monta Ellis did last year. I know what Danny Granger is capable of. I know that Tyreke Evans put up a season that few rookies have ever accomplished. Their play doesn't exactly reflect their records. The casual fan, yes, they would have trouble identifying those players' abilities because they never see them play, and they could care less about the bottom half of the league. So, if Bosh is worried about the casual fan, he's got a point...but then again, he's in Miami. Why does he care about the casual fan today? Not only that, but being the only team in Canada, the Raptors do get quite a bit of attention from the fans in that area. People did recognize him as a top power forward in the league last year (maybe even casual fans). Technically, this is a guy that should not be considered a superstar, yet the talk of "three superstars getting together in Miami" was running wild all offseason. Why does he even talk?
  18. LOL, yeah...the last time we were that busy, it was during LeBron's decision (which was insane as far as activity goes). Figures it would happen on opening night, though. We haven't had a problem all year, but on the one night we didn't need one...
  19. Thanks for re-posting some of your topics, guys. I really appreciate the work most of you have been doing lately...you have no idea.
  20. Nah. When they moved the site, they literally moved it...made a backup of it (before the games started, of course, because I have awesome luck) and moved it to a new server. Domain propagation happens when your ISP updates their IP records. In other words, all sites you visit have an IP address, like houses have addresses. Usually, every day, your ISP (ex. Comcast) updates that list of addresses, allowing you to connect to those sites. So, when you thought you were connecting to the new server that OTR was on, you were actually still posting on the old one.
  21. Hahaha, you beat me to it. That sucks. Your dad should just give you the ticket, though...not really going to be a big game (at least that's what I'm thinking), because despite chemistry issues, the Heat should tear into the Sixers tonight. But, maybe Evan Turner plays like Brandon Roy, Iggy plays like Pippen, and Elton becomes Karl Malone, and the Sixers' big three pull out a win?
  22. It wouldn't make sense if it were to happen again, so I'm pretty confident it won't. Domain propagation depends mainly on your ISPs. The site immediately changes over to the new server (duh), but your computers don't exactly "see" that until all IP addresses of all sites on the internet are updated for you. A lot of ISPs update them daily, so typical propagation takes up to 24 hours.
  23. It looks like more and more members are logging into the new server, so it's a good thing. Earlier, there were a lot still viewing the old one.
