I won't argue the 55+ wins because I really don't know...I saw how well Utah did with Deron and Boozer, so it all depends on how much Rose, Noah and Deng have improved since last season. However, I can't see this Bulls team beating Miami. Maybe if the Heat have severe chemistry problems, or they are dissolved due to injuries, but a healthy Bulls and Heat team in the playoffs? It would take significant defensive improvement from every single Bulls player in the starting five to even take Miami to seven games.

At full health, Chicago has a 50+ win team, no doubt in my mind. They would also kick Atlanta out of the playoffs, if the opportunity came knocking at their door. I just think Johnson is meant to be a second option scorer in the league. No-show Joe in the spotlight. His all-star play really doesn't show its face when it matters most, and that's why I think, to be a contender, the Hawks will need to bring in someone that forces Johnson out of the role he's in now.

Bill Simmons compares Evan Turner to Adam Morrison
Real Deal replied to AboveLegit's topic in Philadelphia 76ers Team Forum
He'd still be happy. He's making more than any of the top students of his class, combined. -
It's either Jamison or Hickson. Jamison is probably too slow to play the three, and he may have put on a little weight as well. Hickson deserves to start.

LeBron thinks Kobe's been taking shots at him
Real Deal replied to magicbalala245's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Did LeBron add Kobe to his list? I'd like to know, seriously. -
Bill Simmons compares Evan Turner to Adam Morrison
Real Deal replied to AboveLegit's topic in Philadelphia 76ers Team Forum
Actually, he's comparing Turner to Morrison as bust material...and in regards to both being incredible college players that have skills not translating to the pros. He would've said Kwame, but Brown is a center that skipped college. Judging on his play so far, the comparison is legit...but, personally, I wouldn't be quick to make that judgment just yet, either way. -
Without diving too deep into it, dollar signs are used in the code in board files (for instance, strings, but I'll stop there). Big conflict when calling usernames from that same block of code, if indeed those names contained a dollar sign.

Other countries need to handle their own. I don't even know why we still have troops overseas, trying to fight a war against an act (terrorism).

Sadly, it flew completely over your head, just like I figured it would. Do you personally know a CEO? Just wondering. Go to Google and find Spears Manufacturing. Largest plastic fitting industry in the world. The CEO is Wayne Spears, who lives in Agua Dulce, California. I've met and talked to him and his wife, Connie, plenty of times, when they come to Kansas to visit the main plant (where my dad works). He flies his own jet to Tulsa. You know what he does? He travels, all the time, and watches his auto racing team. That's about it. Right from the horse's mouth. Jokingly, he has told me he would hire me to manage his main offices in California, and to log production numbers and profits. Nice life. Labor workers do their own work to make themselves money. CEO's hire people to make them money. A handful of CEO's are fortunate enough to inherit their company. Others run up the ladder quickly and become rich using education, while those labor workers (who aren't a dime a dozen if you're looking for good ones, by the way...something you obviously don't know), work until they die. You're clueless, dude. You can't relate to any of this, because you don't work in an awful, 120 degree factory that wears you down every day, and you don't know a CEO that basically tells you how easy it gets. It's too bad, really, because someday, reality is going to knock you on your ass.

Wouldn't let me. I believe the dollar sign is an illegal character for display names.

My father makes $56k a year (consider where we live, cost of living is cheaper). I personally know someone who makes $275k a year, and he lives in Oklahoma City, OK. It's my dad who, to this day, makes enough just to get by. No vacation money. Jonathan (in OKC) just went to Spain in June, for seven days, and that was after his wedding in March, his honeymoon in Maui (I think, not 100% sure that's where he went), and he's got a vacation home in Florida. A person making $250k a year can rack up a million dollars in ten years. By the age of 32, for some. That makes them a millionaire. That makes them rich. $250k isn't rich as in Gates and Trump, but it's extremely wealthy. It's a very, very comfortable wealthy. The average person can't drag 150+ pounds of wire around for hours a day, either, and most CEO's wouldn't be able to do that. Gates wouldn't be able to work in an oil field. In your eyes, the average person isn't a CEO, and that's why you think $250k isn't rich. That's unfortunate for you. I'm done commenting in here because I'm sick of reading ignorance, so I'll leave you with something to chew on... "The rich would have to eat money if the poor did not provide food." - Russian Proverb Bill Gates doesn't have anything if electricians didn't provide electricity to turn on his PC. CEO's know how to run a company. Yeah, they work their brains hard. There are MANY, MANY other people that work ten times harder, doing work that most CEO's could never touch, yet they make $10-20 an hour and live paycheck-to-paycheck. Guess who doesn't have a company without those workers? It's too bad the pay isn't reversed, and those who sweat and bleed to make those CEO's rich get the money they deserve.

Well...uh, I guess this game is on tomorrow? NBA is scheduling preseason games out of the blue, it looks like. Back when they released the schedule, they didn't have Utah playing Los Angeles on Sunday, and when I was watching the game, they said something about how if LA were to win and some other team would win their game, LA plays them...or it were to change depending on the circumstances. Some mind [expletive] I couldn't figure out.

Steelers’ Harrison: I don’t care if I hurt players
Real Deal replied to The Regime's topic in AFC Conference Discussion

You're attacking Obama, or the administration, same thing isn't it? Didn't you say that yourself? If your title stated that Obama was going to continue enforcing the drug law, it would be even more inaccurate...and because you had to throw him under the bus somehow (which you were looking to do, or else you wouldn't have added the Bush comment), you decided to state that it was the "Obama Admin" and not Holder saying this. But, I do like this quote from you... I never stated I love Obama, never stated he's doing a good job (and maybe I think he is). I just don't dropkick a President halfway through his first term when he was gift-wrapped a major recession. Aside from that, you say above that they made the decision to go after California? LOL...you must mean they decided to continue enforcing a law. They aren't targeting California. If anything, they are disregarding it because, by federal law, marijuana will still be illegal. Until that's changed, what else are they expected to say or do?
-
For one, it's a federal law. Read this... And this... Doesn't matter who is running the country. So, now my question is, why even point it out? The administration will still enforce a federal law? Yeah, I bet it's because it's a federal law. It's not difficult to figure out what you were trying to accomplish with the topic. Obama bash-fest. How do I know? History, and because you mentioned Bush (which you should probably realize that the "great Bush Administration" was enforcing drug laws as well, because...it was a federal law). Basically, Holder is stating the obvious. Obama didn't necessarily run and tell him to say it. Nobody else had to notify him of the plans. Holder made a statement that they will enforce drug laws, and, hell, maybe because it's a federal law.

Leaving out weekends, a person can work 261 days a year (paid holidays, vacations). Typical eight-hour day (giving them 40 hours a week, full-time)... That's 2,088 hours a year. $250,000 a year, working full-time, 40 hours a week? That's $119.73 an hour. It's $20,833 a month. Does anyone here touch that? Anyone here have parents that make that money? So how does $250,000 a year compare to $40,000? Well, whoever is making $250k can make that $40k in two months, six times quicker than the $40k worker. The fact is, $250,000 is a LOT of money. It's 1/4 of a million dollars, in just one year. It's nearly $120 an hour. Don't try to sugar-coat it.

I think the Knicks can win 40+ games, but I don't think it's too wild of a prediction to say the Pacers can be a better team. They won 32 last season with Granger missing 20 games. Darren Collison is looking really good out there, and that's going to turn Granger into a really big threat. Indiana has yet to put a player of Collison's caliber next to Granger. Hibbert also improved. Won't say much about George yet because he's looking like a wasted pick. Pacers could win 40+ as well.

Yes, my tears have been flowing since seeing it, shirt soaked and making me look like I just won a Biggest Loser competition.

Bulls will get more than 42 wins, unless Boozer's hand injury keeps him on the shelf for the entire season. And even then, I still think they'll win more than 42. Jazz, Suns, Nuggets, Thunder...all way too many wins. Utah lost a lot of ammo, and a good perimeter defender. Phoenix is missing Amare, and Nash and Hill keep aging. Denver will lose Melo by February, which will increase the Knicks or Nets' win total. The Thunder won't win 56 games if there are going to be eight 50-win teams in the West alone. Kings won't be a 20-win team. Evans and the crew won 25 without Cousins last season. Miami or Boston will win the East. You say Miami, I say both because I can't decide. Boston's old defense nearly got the job done four months ago, against the defending champs, so I can't say they'll be that much worse, and with the amount of big men Boston is loaded with (Garnett, Perk, Shaq, Jermaine, Davis and Erden), they are looking forward to the match-up with Miami. LA will make the Finals...and maybe they do beat the Thunder in the WCF. Not a bad prediction. Maybe it's Portland, and Houston also has a shot if Yao is healthy and playing 30+ minutes by playoff time. I've got LA beating Miami in the Finals in six games, or beating Boston in six. MVP will be Kobe if the Lakers win 65+ games, LeBron or Wade if the Heat win 67+ games, Durant if neither of those happen and the Thunder win 55 or more. ROY will be Griffin or Wall.

I've told my boss he should fire me before, but I really didn't want him to. Bryant had a couple of opportunities to leave, and he also could've waived his no-trade clause so the Lakers could deal him to the Bulls for Deng, but he didn't because he knew he was going to stay all along. Vetoed every trade. His attempt to push the front office into picking up a good teammate brought us two more championships, with him leading the way. He knew exactly what he was doing.

So...Kobe just dropped 19 points in the third quarter against Utah. Looks to be better than he was a few days back.

Dwayne Bowe and Matt Cassel are going to turn into Randy Moss and Tom Brady before the season is over with, just because the football gods hate me.

This [expletive]ing season is KILLING me. How do you even guess who's going to win these games with all of these teams choking? Wow. Weird season.
