  1. Well, there may be a bit of room in the bottom of the heel...but if you look at the shoe itself, it actually curves up so your heel doesn't slip out of it. A lot of shoes do that, of course, but the Kobe's are REALLY curved, and the top part is firm.
  2. Very thin socks...can't remember what kind they are, but I bought them from Footlocker. They have a "G" just above the toes, top part of the sock. http://i26.tinypic.com/qyzsr5.jpg And the shoes... http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/hs052.ash2/35979_413805166652_502396652_5177871_700539_n.jpg
  3. I tie them. I'll take a picture of the socks I wear with my Kobe's, and a pic of the Kobe's (just for fun, haha).
  4. It doesn't matter if you post the link, as long as you aren't making a topic about it (without my permission, of course, haha). I could care less if members visit their site, anyway...not going to hurt OTR. http://www.slymf.com/forum
  5. Wear thinner socks, and adjust the laces to make your shoe a bit wider where you need it to be. The bottom of my feet never hurt from them...just wore them for three hours of ball tonight, felt pretty good.
  6. Mo Williams would more than likely be included in the trade, and Golden State would probably experiment with him playing the two, starting Curry at the point.
  7. Yeah, I know you probably don't want to be around in June for that three-peat. But sorry to hear what happened over there. I always thought AboveLegit owned it, but I guess I was wrong. Can't sell something like that if it's built from the ground up by its members. I can go install forums anywhere, but it's a waste without the members.
  8. No idea. I've been offered probably 10 different times, maybe 2-3 times on the forums (someone just registers and asks if we are selling, some of you will remember that). I've been offered up to $4,500 by some guy who told me he wanted to merge it with his blog site, and offer blogging to all members...said he would put the money in my Paypal first. Don't remember all of the other offers. S2 wanted to pay money per post, when we were at 100,000 or so. Can't remember how much they were saying, but it really didn't matter.
  9. Haha, well, OTR will never merge with anyone else, and I'll never sell. No point in it. We've been doing it since 2005, so it's basically better than a hobby, in my opinion. Would've been nice if we weren't hacked back in 09, but it's all good. :\ Won't ever happen again.
  10. I was actually pretty nervous about it...didn't really do much running when I first bought them, just spot-up shooting because I thought my ankles would roll and/or snap in them. Now I'm comfortable with them on, attacking the rim and what not. Mean shoes, for sure...probably the only lows I'll ever wear playing ball.
  11. Welcome to the best. Bring all of the basketball heads you know to OTR. We aren't going anywhere.
  12. The support is actually in the shoe, not wrapping the ankle...so that's how they are created. That's why Bryant and Nike decided to go with the lows, despite the popular belief that traditional highs are best for the ankle. I have his playoff versions, and they are damn nice. I also have an ankle problem, rolling my ankles quite a bit, but I haven't had a single accident with these shoes.
  13. Search for IPB and you'll see Invision's app. It's really nice...can post and everything.
  14. http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/forum/122-otrs-nfl-sim-league Sub-forum in Football.
  15. LOL I noticed that. Can't put Jordan on the cover and all over the game without Sirius playing somewhere.
  16. Would it have made the game's list of songs if Ron wasn't a player? Hmm...
  17. I wonder if this is still being considered. If so, it means Vasquez will get little to no playing time (unless the Grizz explore trades with Conley at the helm, of course). If not, it may mean Xavier Henry will be limited, because Tony Allen wasn't brought to Memphis just so he can sit the bench for 45 minutes. Interesting situation, really.
  18. Not really a legit source as far as the author is concerned, but maybe he has one. After all, the Lakers did offer for West. They were interested. You'd think they would go right after him once he's waived (or if he's waived).
  19. Whoa...that's pretty sick. I had no idea, haha.
  20. I'm not going to make that big of a post about it, but here's where we stand: Kyle (STAT) doesn't want back in. I understand why. Doesn't matter if the picks seem irrelevant, so do 6th round draft picks (in real life) until they make something of themselves. Plus, if you're running something, a league or even forums, you have to stick to what you produce as far as guidelines go, and by what I understand, there was a 12-hour grace period that did not expire on Kyle. For what was said, Kyle is going to be suspended for three days...would be seven days, but he had a legit reason to be upset, just not furious. Previous irrelevant posts (truly irrelevant, of course) will be deleted, the topic will be unlocked, and the league will continue without Kyle, upon his request. Let's not do this again, and from this point on, in this topic, everything that happened is in the past.
  21. Yeah...that's enough. Twitter followers: my apologies. I see a lot of you are reading the articles...they are from a spammer, and our feed continues to catch them and publish the link to you guys. Hopefully, that won't happen anymore.
  22. It's all good, Dee. Look at the interview with the guy, not the story itself. I see why you were upset about it, though...nothing to laugh at if you're looking at the beginning of the video, that's for sure.
  23. I don't believe that one bit. This trio has been planned for a while now. If LeBron wanted to win so badly in Cleveland (much like he does now in Miami), he had seven years to recruit players.
  24. That's actually a good point...but we also have a war vet (Phil) and a guy specialized in defeating super-soldiers (Artest). Feels good. Gonna be even more wicked if Drew plays a full healthy season, because he's a 20/10 player any given night.
  25. Kobe wanted dealt if the Lakers weren't committed to winning. And he was never leaving in the first place. It was an effective way to bring talent to the team...and they did, with Gasol. It won the Lakers two more rings. Similar to what CP3 is doing, although there's a big chance he's going to leave anyway. Bryant didn't run to the Boston Celtics in 2008...he wanted to beat them. LA didn't trade Drew right off the bat in 2007, either, and it was 2-3 months in before they acquired Gasol, and Bryant had no knowledge of the situation and STILL played his heart out, achieving one of the best records in the West until Bynum fell to another injury (check LA's record that season in the games they played up until the Memphis-LA game, where Drew was hurt). James never threatened Cleveland with that. He also never tried to recruit anyone like he has for the Heat. He actually led Cavs fans to believe he was coming back, and never told them otherwise until the last second, when he told everyone in a LeBron Spectacular. He didn't do what Garnett did, either. Didn't pull an Iverson. What did it do for Cleveland, win them rings? Nah...left them with the possibility of being one of the worst teams in the NBA in a few years. Let's not compare LeBron's situation to anyone else's...because what he did has never been done before, at least not by a big-name superstar.
