LeBron's Final Game in Cleveland
Real Deal replied to Cleveland's Finest's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
Sorry dude. -
Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo. Four all-star caliber players, with at least three excellent role players (Perkins, Sheed, Davis) and a defensive specialist (Tony Allen) and a spark off the bench (Nate) with a former player and champion head coach (Rivers)...and they still didn't get the job done after being together and developing chemistry for three years. In 2008, they had built a team that was geared to stopping the superstar...with Garnett, Posey, Perkins, Rondo and Brown all defensive artists...yet they had a lot of trouble in the first and second rounds (against the Hawks and Cavs), going seven with each. They may march through the East, but if Bynum is healthy, the Heat better hope for home court and some good role players. Kobe, Gasol, Artest, Bynum, Odom, Blake, Fisher and Phil will be a monster to beat.

I don't think there will be a riot...but then again, I really don't know Cleveland fans. If he were leaving the Lakers...well, okay, there would be a riot, for sure.

Yeah, Kareem requested a trade to New York or LA...and he went to the Lakers and teamed up with Gail Goodrich to propel a 30-win team to 40 wins (or something like that). Gail Goodrich was not a top three player in the NBA at that time, and Kareem didn't join two all-stars. Not even sure why he would compare the two situations. Haha, yes, very likely that the trio loses just seven games. Not really. For one, he just asked for help. When you have Odom, Smush, Mihm, Kwame and Walton all starting games with you, it's time you step up to the plate and demand for help. Was Kobe going to leave? Never. Chicago would've had to trade major pieces to bring in Bryant, and he would've been in the same situation. All Kobe wanted was a competent big and a point guard, two legit starters to group with Odom. Instead, LA went big and brought in Gasol and reeled in Fisher. Can't compare, once again. At that time, Gasol wasn't even close to being the player Bosh was, let alone a Dwyane Wade. If you compare Kobe's situation with LeBron's, it would mean LeBron either goes to New York to pair with Amare, or he convinces the Cavaliers to bring in Stoudemire, Bosh or Boozer.

So why do you hate the Boston Celtics? We proved that we can beat them, also. Us being able to beat this Heat team (if we can) doesn't mean you have no hate for them (or vice-versa).

Warriors Lee come to terms -- await Knicks
Real Deal replied to fish7718's topic in Golden State Warriors Team Forum
That's really a good deal for both teams. Lee would fit in well with Golden State, and the Knicks get two bigs and a perimeter player, instead of losing Lee for absolutely nothing in return. -
I stopped hating the Heat once Shaq left and when Wade stopped flopping every drive. I actually like Wade as a player now. I'm a Chalmers fan. I like Beasley (despite him playing for K-State). Pat Riley is a beast. But, to be honest, Bosh's attitude through this FA process has sucked...and I don't like him as much as I did a month ago. And LeBron went from being my second favorite player to one of my most hated over the last year or two...just not a big fan of the in-game celebrations or the way he's toying with cities during free agency (because that's exactly what he's doing). I wouldn't mind if Wade won another ring, but I don't want to see one on James' finger.

Keep reading...it's a VERY good article. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/100708

Prokhorov has money, but hopefully that doesn't mean he's going to throw it all away and overpay for every player he gets. That would only make things worse for other teams in the long run.

Seven million a year...for five years?

Haha, that's true.

Exorcist. For me, nothing else comes close. The movie was so disturbing, it was scary. http://www.tdbimg.com/files/2009/10/28/vid-scorcese-exorcist_101815548894.flv Click, download and watch. Takes 30 seconds. If you don't know the plot of the movie, you may think that's ridiculous...but if you do, and you've seen the rest, you know what I'm talking about.

I bumped it back up to 10. The board update set it back to default (five). Ten is enough. If I gave unlimited reps per day, they would most definitely get abused.

A few Lakers fans need to stay out of the free agency topics if all they are going to do is talk about how the new teams are going to get ran by the defending champs. And a few non-Lakers fans need to keep the Lakers fanbase out of their posts, especially the ones that have been doing it for years. Also, some of the replies are personal attacks or inappropriate posts/pictures/comments lately, and that's also going to stop. Mods, give the basic 5-day suspensions when you see fit, then post the details in the moderator forum, and I'll increase the suspension to 30 days. We're also not going to discuss this. Nothing to talk about. Topic closed.

Looks like I'm going to be handing out suspensions today.

DeMarcus Cousins disses Andrew Bynum
Real Deal replied to htownborn's topic in Sacramento Kings Team Forum
If he really did throw the game and changed the entire series (which was already put to sleep by Sky, but nobody reads anything pro-Lakers), I guess I can regain my suspicions about other teams and referees as well, namely in 2006. -
Had we found a way to trade for Bosh, there's a big chance Wade and LeBron would be on separate teams. If this is true, Bosh was the kicker...adding that second superstar to the mix pulled LeBron away from the money and the fame, and it landed him in the hot seat of a potential dynasty and possibly one of the greatest trio of stars to play the game together. Car companies don't release the same exact car every year. There's aways room for improvement, no matter what we did the two previous seasons. If Miami has LeBron, Wade, and Bosh all taking less (rumored to be true), that means they keep Beasley and Chalmers. Do the math...it won't have to be much less. The Heat are at just $5.1 million on their payroll. Wade, Bron, Bosh, Chalmers and Beasley...along with who knows what? Maybe Shaq changes his mind and wants Miami again. Rumors are that Bell wants to go. McGrady may say yes. Those three taking the minimum really isn't out of the question. They also have Da'Sean Butler, Dexter Pittman and Jarvis Varnado...all three with the potential to be decent backups (and that's the ceiling today, but still...). There is nothing good about this. Hopefully, he goes to the damn Bucks or something (no offense, Jenneral), and freaks everyone out.

By the way guys, thanks for liking it. The banner will come down after tomorrow night.

Orlando Los Angeles Miami Phoenix Cleveland San Antonio? Any other superstars he can team up with to win a ring?

Haha, awesome.

I disabled the link for now. I really have no idea...could be a bug.

Works for me, also. It wouldn't have anything to do with your account unless you were restricted access to it, and you aren't. Has to be a bad connection on your end, or the server kicking for juice while you tried updating.
