  1. Hahaha, was that you (diehard) replying?

  2. I have to go with Varejao as well. Davis can't defend, and he's about as consistent on offense as Lamar Odom (you already know what that means). Varejao's best offensive game isn't going to be better than Davis' best, but Anderson is a much better defender, and he's not out of control on offense.
  3. Yes sir. Perfect, since we aren't getting Hinrich.
  4. If the Wolves get Lee, they would need to start him at the five. He's not a power forward...don't know why, exactly, but he just seems to play better at center (and I'm sure statistics would prove it). Also a better defender at the five, although he's still horrible. Darko could just sit and sulk. He's not a legit starter to begin with.
  5. Haha, close...I forgot about that. He dropped 48 points and pulled down 16 rebounds in Game 4 (close-out game) against the Kings. Funny enough, that 15 he pulled down against Boston is the second most he's had in his career, regular season or playoffs...and he's gotten 15 two other times. Old Kobe, with the bad knees. I'm pretty sure they already gave the 2011 MVP to LeBron, also. Just saying.
  6. Haha to be honest, that would be sick. Good to hear he's back. Best news yet.
  7. He dropped 30+ points in 11 of 12 playoff games after getting that knee drained, locked down Westbrook, set a career playoff high in assists in a game and probably one in rebounds as well (had 15 boards in Game 7 vs. Boston, that may have been a career high). If he's already out of his prime, those are pretty scary numbers.
  8. Averages out to be around $16 million a season. Way too much money. But then again, compared to everyone else, I guess not.
  9. Sorry Indiana, a one-year deal isn't going to get it done.
  10. Truthfully, this trade would suck for a lot of West teams, assuming Yao stays healthy all season long. A scoring post, an offensive high post, slashers and shooters? Gonna be an ugly battle to snag a top four seed.
  11. I'm going to go a different route and say moving him will be best for the team. There's really no telling who they can get (Chicago could deal Deng to the Wolves), but the bigger picture is that Wesley Johnson will be running the show in Minnesota, not Al Jefferson. Maybe that's why Jefferson wants out...which is funny. Does he really think he's a legit franchise player? C - Darko Milicic PF - Kevin Love SF - Wesley Johnson SG - Corey Brewer PG - Jonny Flynn A year later, they will more than likely have Ricky Rubio.

  13. New link for the Facebook page... http://www.facebook.com/otrbasketball Simple link, easy to get to. Had to have it.
  14. Just checked...I have banners on Chrome, Fox, IE, Safari and Opera.

  15. Hmm...hit refresh on the browser.

  16. That doesn't make sense. Teams receive MLE's to spend when they are over the cap. Just because Boston knocks $6 million off of their payroll doesn't mean they can spend that money like it's the MLE.
  17. No need to use the YouTube tag anymore, by the way. Just post the full link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8i0vsMlGfQ Gets you... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8i0vsMlGfQ
  18. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8i0vsMlGfQ Go to 3:18 and watch it from there. This is amazing...had me laughing for days.
  19. We're going to let Farmar go. He thinks he can start and contribute somewhere else (positive contributions, as in, Rajon Rondo contributions), so we're going to let him play his little heart and big ears out.
  20. When you log into OTR, it magicbalala's your laptop...magically. Just installed a program for it. This is why we encourage our members to be online 24 hours a day.
  21. Yeah, I agree. Wilt was set to score a ton of points from the start, hogging the ball and simply dominating Darrall Imhoff and Cleveland Buckner. Imhoff was a second-year player who came off the bench, absolutely sucked for being 6-10 (shot 39% from the floor, averaged three fouls in under 20 MPG). Buckner was even worse, 6-9 and only played two seasons in the league, a rookie having to guard Wilt. The Knicks' starting center (who was Phil Jordon) was injured, by the way. Wilt had 23 in the first, 41 at half. He knew what he was going to do, and as the game was coming to a close, the fans kept encouraging the Warriors to give Wilt the ball, for almost a full quarter. 23 in the first...and during Kobe's 81, he had 26 at the half. I just can't sit here and say that makes him the greatest scorer in NBA history. Hell, when he averaged 50 PPG that season, he also averaged 48.5 minutes per game. Played 79 of 80 games for 48 or more minutes, and went into OT in ten of them. Who does that? Would Wilt be able to score 100 in the 80's or 90's? Against Hakeem, Eaton, Ewing, Mourning, Shaq, or Mutombo? Not a chance.
  22. At the same time, the guys you named (and Hawks named Tony Allen), they are all coming from excellent team defenses. Ariza and Houston, Wallace and the Cats, Allen and the Celtics, Prince and the 2004 Pistons. Battier has had success against Bryant because, quite frankly, he is one of the best to lead a player into strong help defense. In fact, he's one of the smartest defenders I've seen in years. I've seen guys do a great job on him, but not consistently, and not without a lot of help. As much as I've watched of him (seen more of Kobe than I have of Jordan, who I obsessed over for years), I've never seen a player actually stop him, one-on-one, in two consecutive games. People hate Kobe Bryant, the man...but a lot of people that hate him that way will admit that they love Kobe Bryant, the player...and I feel like that's the main reason for it. For me, the greatest scorer can be three different guys: Kobe, Jordan, or Kareem. Tough choice. Jordan is more efficient than Bryant, Kareem is the all-time leader, and Kobe just has more ways to score the ball than anyone else I've ever seen. I probably won't answer the topic, to be honest, because it's between Jordan and Bryant, in my opinion.
  23. We'll take Blake. If Watson wants Los Angeles, there's a blue and red team he can sign with.
