Paul Pierce To The Clippers?
Real Deal replied to The Regime's topic in Los Angeles Clippers Team Forum
Haha, guess this can suddenly become a hot topic. -
We were 25th or 26th in bench scoring for most of the year, also. Losing Odom isn't going to be that big of a deal when we'll more than likely get contributions from a free agent or two. What FA's won't want to be a part of a potential dynasty? Raja Bell, Matt Barnes, Tracy McGrady, Mike Miller...all of these guys have already expressed interest.
-
Not a big fan of Howard, but I guess he can give your team more production than he did in Dallas. I just see him more as a low IQ player on offense, and an inconsistent defender. But of course, that's for later discussion...when he's playing for you guys (if he does).
-
Haha wow...you have John Wall. Stop it. And hey, you're probably losing Howard. All will be perfect once you guys buy out Arenas.

What if the Heat end up with Wade, Amare and LeBron? Then, Dirk and Joe Johnson decide to jet to New York, and Ray Allen decides to play in New Jersey with Chris Bosh? Pierce decides that he and Boozer need to go to Chicago to team with Rose and Noah. Heat: James, Wade, Amare, Chalmers Lakers: Kobe, Gasol, Bynum, Artest Knicks: Nowitzki, Johnson, Allen, Gallinari Nets: Bosh, Allen, Lopez, Harris Bulls: Pierce, Rose, Boozer, Noah Suddenly, there are 4-5 potential 60 win teams, and everyone else hates life.
-
LOL...funny. Boozer isn't a max player.
-
Whoa, that was unexpected. Things are going to get interesting. LeBron, Wade, Bosh, Dirk, Pierce, Allen, Amare, Johnson, Boozer, Morrison. WOW!
-
Maybe not.
-
Probably avoiding contact with him during the first couple of weeks after the Finals are over. So let's just assume Jay-Z wasn't even discussing the NBA (maybe he wasn't, but I think we all know he was). Is it really worth risking? According to the league, you can be fined up to $5 million AND lose your draft picks for a few years. That's a HUGE blow.
-
The problem wasn't that they were at the same party, it was that he arrived with him. That's different. I can run into someone by accident, at some event, and call it a coincidence...but you can't make excuses for the two arriving together. If this were any other GM, it would be tampering. Any contact with players before the start of the FA period gets the league rattled any other day of the week.
-
Good idea to use that stat. Danny Fortson was pulling down more rebounds per 48 minutes than most everyone in the league back in the day.
-
Teams won't want him in 2011, they'll be looking to grab him in 2012 (around January or February, before the deadline). Why would a team want Bynum in 2011 if they are just wanting the expiring contract? Plus, by that time, Buss will just want to let him expire, and we'll be left with nothing. He's already trying to save money as it is. That's $16-17 million, doubled because of the luxury tax (if we go over by that amount).

The Orange To Red Zone Siren Professional 2010.

He's guaranteed for two more years. 2010-11: $13,842,332 2011-12: $15,157,667 2012-13: $16,473,002 (team option)

Blazers waive Ryan Gomes
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in Portland Trail Blazers Team Forum
Wouldn't be that big of a problem, though. You guys saw what you had to do last season, grabbing Howard and Camby. Portland isn't exactly the luckiest of teams, so when you come across a player that can contribute off the bench, I don't see why you just don't keep him. Plus, he's cheap. -
I sort of agree with Chad Ford, to be honest. Do I expect him to ignore LeBron? Not all the time, but until July 1st, most definitely. Even for the good of the Nets.
-
Jay Williams could've been one of the best point guards in the league had he not gotten into his motorcycle accident. How many more years are we going to give Drew before he goes down for good, with a salary of $16-17 million?
-
Yes. And...well, they did. It's an everyday battle. Not sure if they added the Jones transaction yet. Just off the top of my head, Beasley is just under $5 million, Chalmers at just under $900k. James Jones was making $4.6 million this upcoming season.
-
Pretty pathetic, to be honest. The lower-payroll teams are throwing everything away for LeBron, Wade and Bosh...while the higher-payroll teams (who are already over the cap) are more worried about profits and trimming salary. It doesn't help that Beasley has had off-court issues and hasn't exactly shown he's worthy of that second pick in the draft, but then again, he really hasn't had the opportunity in Miami.

It was the way he added the italics and strikethrough tags. Could be a bug I'll need to report.
