  1. Is it still that way?
  2. We've only needed Bynum for about 15-20 minutes a game, 82 games over the last three seasons, and it has produced two titles. He doesn't even give us double-doubles in the Finals. Bynum has to be one of the most overrated bigs I've seen since Erick Dampier, when he was putting up his 12/12 in his contract season. Drew is rarely healthy, rarely on the floor when it matters most (plays the first quarter and doesn't come back in), and it's getting pretty old. Bosh may be a softer player, but Drew's defensive rotations are horrible, and Phil is always in his ear about it. There aren't very many centers that can dominate us offensively, anyway, so I'm not worried about that.
  3. Reebok and Adidas are falling far behind Nike these days, in my opinion. I just don't like much of what they are putting out anymore.
  4. Reggie is much better than Redd. I'm not really sure if I can say he's much better than Ray Allen, though. Allen, like Miller, is one of the greatest shooters of all-time, and you have to keep in mind that Allen was able to drop 40's much easier than Reggie (and he just dropped 45-50 points last year, far out of his prime). But I still can't stick any of them over Malone or Barkley.
  5. Gives us a reliable center (Gasol, full-time), a reliable power forward (Bosh) and a defensive-minded point guard...hits on all cylinders. All willing passers, all versatile triangle players...all healthy (non-Bynum), all consistent (non-Odom). Now all we need is a free agent signing, to solidify our bench. What team can defend three excellent isolation players, all three with the ability to drop 25-30?

  7. Yeah, I can't say Reggie is better than Malone. Karl was one of the best defensive players in the league, let alone the second greatest scorer (by the numbers) in league history. Second best power forward of all-time (behind Duncan)...you can't take Reggie over Malone. Had Jordan not existed, Karl would have two rings, and Barkley would have one.
  8. I have security alarms installed on my computer, so if any fingerprints other than mine were to touch the keyboard, the entire system shuts down, the cops are called, and OTR automatically changes my password.
  9. Check back in tomorrow and let me know how it's running for everyone. I'll go ahead and repair and optimize the tables, but if nothing improves, I'll look to the server.
  10. 12. I'll probably rarely post in here, but I figured I'd start this up because I found some old OTR stuff. Remember the Lakers/Suns rivalry? http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f111/OTRForums/UFC.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f111/OTRForums/Suns.gif Posted in that MASSIVE Jordan/Kobe topic back in 2006 or so... http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f111/OTRForums/jordanpip.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f111/OTRForums/kobeodom.jpg What I added in some of my topics with Shaq fans... http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f111/OTRForums/owned.jpg How the Pistons beat the Lakers in 2004 (this was really old)... http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f111/OTRForums/bryangle.jpg Remember these? 13. Haha actually, I didn't even say that, I simply said no team would want anything else from Philly. If the Sixers are looking to deal, they really only have two players to work with. But, of course, trading Holiday IS an option, if you want to dive into that discussion...they just won't bother.
  14. Coach - Jerry Sloan C - Shaquille O'Neal PF - Chris Bosh SF - LeBron James SG - Dwyane Wade PG - Allen Iverson BENCH SF - Tracy McGrady PG - Stephon Marbury SG - Steve Francis PF - Karl Malone C - Greg Ostertag PF - Keith Van Horn SG - Cuttino Mobley (so Steve will play) DO IT!
  15. I'd have to re-write part of the board code, and I'm honestly not sure where to begin. It would be different if it were all my coding. Basically, it comes down to this: there's a board option in the ACP that allows you to select/deselect each individual forum that the topics are pulled from. The big problem would be trying to override that board setting...and not only that, but doing it for individual members in a group (because I would need to put those who want it into a group outside of the default one). So... <if test="$this->memberData['groupid'] == 5"> Bam...stuck there, because I'd have to tell the board to not follow its own board setting, one that has to be left on to weed out the posts from the sim for everyone else. THEN I would have to specify the forums as well, and I think that's next to impossible.
  16. I didn't say they were interested in trading him, I said that those two were really the only two they have to make deals with. Nobody wants Brand, Philly probably has the bar too high on Iggy, and the rest really don't have anything to offer to other teams.
  17. The only pieces the Sixers have to trade are Young and Holiday. Surely, the idea is to get rid of Brand and bring in SOMEONE to play the four, but to be honest, I don't see that happening.
  18. They could just be happy with a sign-and-trade deal that brings LeBron to LA and Bynum to Cleveland. That will definitely jump-start their dynasty, trustttt me.
  19. Yes. http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/topic/11683-free-agency-where-are-they-going/page__view__findpost__p__147577
  20. Well, it would make sense for them to bring Jamison off the bench, but that only cuts into the time they can play Varejao. That three-headed logjam at the four would be tough to figure out. Varejao could always move to the five as a natural position, but I think that takes away a lot of his game on both ends of the court, not to mention makes the Cavaliers undersized.
  21. The team sites and forums will all be accessible through a horizontal list at the top. I'll be adding that to the header pretty soon. On the website portion, the images will link to the team sites. On the message board portion, they will link to the team forums.
  22. Never went, haha. I'm not tired. I could do this, but the only problem is that some of these players aren't around anymore (meaning, outside of the newest draft classes), and some don't even have player profiles. When I draw these players from the database, it basically goes through the same routine with each. So, for example...when I look up, say, Omar Cook...it will find his pick number, the team, his name, height and weight, and college. If I were to add code to click to player profiles, every player would have a link, automatically...which would be bad, because a ton of them would lead to nowhere (just looking at the 2000 draft class, second round, you'll see what I mean).
  23. AboveLegit's dark, evil twin? :o Haha, welcome to the best.
  24. It's going to take me a while to get them all finished, but here are a handful so far... http://www.otrbasketball.com/draft/1996.php http://www.otrbasketball.com/draft/1997.php http://www.otrbasketball.com/draft/1998.php http://www.otrbasketball.com/draft/1999.php http://www.otrbasketball.com/draft/2000.php http://www.otrbasketball.com/draft/2001.php http://www.otrbasketball.com/draft/2002.php http://www.otrbasketball.com/draft/2003.php http://www.otrbasketball.com/draft/2004.php http://www.otrbasketball.com/draft/2005.php http://www.otrbasketball.com/draft/2006.php http://www.otrbasketball.com/draft/2007.php http://www.otrbasketball.com/draft/2008.php http://www.otrbasketball.com/draft/2009.php http://www.otrbasketball.com/draft/2010.php And yes, I'll be adding the new logos to the 2010 draft page soon, as well as replacing the team forum images. Sleep time.
