Raiders acquire QB Jason Campbell in trade with Redskins
Real Deal replied to Legacy's topic in AFC Conference Discussion
Honestly, I'm really happy with our draft now. While I wasn't disappointed in who we selected in the first three rounds, I really wanted us to grab a QB after we took Bruce Campbell. With this trade, I think we have hit on all of our needs, picked up some steals in the draft, and it's one of the rare times I've been satisfied with our draft. -
Oakland isn't doing too bad in the draft. They are picking a ton of beastly athletic players, though...can't be surprised. We need a QB, though. Pike is still there. We have to pick one up, unless we're going to trade for one (and I doubt it).

Jameer is talking trash to the Bobcat fans. "YEAH, we are beating your 7th seeded team by two. WHAT NOW?" -

The Bobcats remind me so much of the Thunder, as the underdog, with a loud and excited crowd and underrated defense. Wow, the fans are so damn loud. Hear them on that Jackson steal and dunk? -

San Antonio is the most dangerous team for us, in my opinion. Utah isn't going to have a problem winning games without Okur. I said that somewhere earlier, I'm sure (probably in the topic that mentioned his injury). Boozer and Millsap provide the frontcourt with enough scoring to get the job done, and it's not like Denver has a Dwight Howard or Yao Ming at the center position.

LeBron Doesn't Agree With Charge Call
Real Deal replied to The Regime's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
It was a foul on Deng, clearly. The referee saw LeBron lower his shoulder, but if the defender is still moving, a lowered shoulder could be translated as protecting the player. -
Thunder Could Be Option For Bosh
Real Deal replied to The Regime's topic in Oklahoma City Thunder Team Forum
Yeah, word around OKC is that Bennett told a few of his friends he was really interested in Bosh. Makes a lot of sense, too. They could definitely use his abilities in the frontcourt. Ibaka, Bosh, Durant, Harden and Westbrook could contend for a title, no doubt in my mind. -
Shaq Not Talking To The Media
Real Deal replied to The Regime's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
Pick up your play, Shaq. Your lack of effort is not amusing to the King, and he will do away with you if you do not impress. -
Oakland needs to beef up their offensive line, or take a QB. If they don't do one or the other in this round (or in the rest of the draft), I wouldn't be surprised.

Those 112,000 soldiers would need much, much more time to reload their weapons. It wouldn't take much for a few marines to spray hundreds of them with bullets, all at once, not to mention the other mean weapons we have today, and ways of attacking. The only way the marines would lose is if they were caught in a section of land that literally put them in a hole, and they were fighting uphill. Otherwise, it's no contest. They would be too advanced, and so would their weapons.

GM3: Phoenix (1) @ Portland (1)
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in Portland Trail Blazers Team Forum
I don't know about that (being up 2-1 at full health). The Blazers played good against the Suns in that first game because it was a different team, overall. Same can be said about the Rockets when they lost Ming, took the Lakers to seven games because LA had no idea how to play them. The thing about the playoffs is that you have to play the same team over and over again. No breaks, playing against the Nets and Wizards. No 1-3 month gaps between the games you play them in. Phoenix adjusted, and they would've done the same had the Blazers been at full health. Portland is a good team, don't get me wrong, but they wouldn't be able to beat the Suns in a series, Roy or no Roy. Phoenix is too good at controlling the pace and manipulating the way their opponents score the ball and defend them. -
GM3: LA Lakers (2) @ Oklahoma City (0)
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in Oklahoma City Thunder Team Forum
Too many different defenders at Kobe tonight. It was like the Thunder decided to run the Jordan Rules on him. Thabo, Durant, Harden, Green...that's ridiculous. The problem with it is that Bryant's shot is adjusted to compensate for his injuries. He doesn't have the explosion due to the knee problem that kept him out of a few games to end the season, and his shot is flat because he's shooting with three fingers. Putting a long defender on him, one that has speed, will really hurt. While Bryant has chewed up everyone falling into that category (yes, even Prince, single coverage), Durant was different last night because Kobe can't adjust. The Lakers will not win it all with Kobe like this. Not a chance. They don't have the bench they need, and Gasol and Bynum can't produce enough offense to take over games against elite teams, not in 4-7 games per contender. Just isn't going to happen. -
Cleveland has way too many damn shooters, that's all I'm going to say about their offense. And as far as their defensive efforts go, I'll be the first to raise my hand and say that Orlando can (and will) dominate Cleveland in the paint. It's going to be a massive problem for the Cavaliers if they run into the Magic in the conference finals.
-
It'll be between Durant and LeBron, for sure. James still needs a post game and good on-ball defense, while Durant has to play consistent defense, get stronger, and be a better playmaker. I think guys like Wade and Melo don't have much more room to improve their games, compared to Durant, and LeBron is already beasting.

HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN? I'm so, so sick of Al Davis.
